I am working on a website that is 960px wide. It is mainly geared towards a 'creative' audience, and contains a lot of video. I would like to convert the site to be 1000px wide, and was wondering if there would be any downsides of doing so? If so, what are they specifically?

I want to make a website which scales to window size/resolution.
Currently I am using tables which are not scaling, but instead overlap each other as I resize browser window.
What do I use in order to solve my problem?
Thanks

sorry about asking a question like this but I am just getting the hang on Dreamweaver and using margins seems harmless at the start but once I progressed in building my page objects seem to be out of place, is there something i can do to help with this?
Using margins everywhere will cause a problem when you resize your browser or check your website on a smaller screen.

How do those webhosting companies enforce ads on your page?
I'd love to enforce a specific piece of html code on a webserver.
So, how do they?
They might use append and prepend depending on the exact solution you are referring to.
You basically use it to call another file (html, php etc) which is appended or prepended on the page (At the top or botton).
I did it once years ago and it worked.
Maybe stick the adsense code in the appended/prepended file.

Can you suggest some free software for recording screencasts?
I don't need some special effects. If it lets me add some subtitles, it would be great. And even greater if it created small file size and in a format that lets me send it to YouTube or Vimeo without any conversions.
Try http://www.screencast-o-matic.com/. It is free and web-based, more or less platform agnostic. I've used it before, and it does the job.
I kind of like this one:

I'm looking for quality code, cheap and extra bonus if they make wordpressthemes.
Quality and cheap do not (usually) go together.
If you want good quality, you'll need to spend money.
