AddThis integration - integration

Hi y'all great developers,
I am trying to integrate AddThis into Umbraco CMS and would like to hear if any of you know how to add it via an IFrame or the like so that a client would be able to see the statistics in the backoffice.
Any suggestions on auto log-in are also welcomed!
Thanks a lot for your help.
Kind regards, Iulia

To add an iframe into an ascx or aspx file is no problem. So whichever one is preferred there are well trodden steps to customizing the umbraco backoffice to show custom aspx pages or ascx controls.
Adding a new section to the umbraco admin backoffice is pretty well documented. If you go through these steps you can have your own section in the backoffice - and then simply create an aspx page or pages with whatever content you want to display.
Alternatively you can change or add a tab to the standard view of backoffice and then use an ascx user control to display whatever content you like.

How do I use wordpress to enable a website owner to update my custom HTML?

I am coding the website linked below. I want to set it up so that my client can update basic areas of the site (using Wordpress) without going into the code. I installed Wordpress in the Kualo hosting service, but I can't find any tutorials that show me how to enable my client to make updates to this page. If, for example, my client wants to change the menu item at he top of the page to say "DOCUMENTS" instead of "RESOURCES", how would they do that? I want to keep my custom-made html but allow the basic text components of the site to be modifiable by my client via the wordpress interface. Any guidance would be appreciated!

how to enable base template on apphook'd page and use footer in static placeholder

I've got an application hook to work as explained in the very basic sample of the doc. The application does its job, renders its own templates and does all navigation back and forth.
But I am facing 2 problems:
After putting the hooked application an a page via the advanced settings of the cms, I am no longer be able to edit the page over the frontend. If I navigate in /?edit mode to this particular page cms toolbar dismisses and the /?edit mode is taken away.
How can I recover editing such an apphook'd page?
In the site's view mode (published apphook'd page) I have no styling and no base.html template stuff. So I miss the header menu coming from the base template and the footer which is generally added to each page by a static placeholder. Since I am not able to do frontend editing of the apphook'd page (as mentioned in paragraph 1), I am unable to embed the application into my well known page style.
How can I get the intimate styling back for such an apphook'd page?
I am working with
django 1.11.18
djangocms 3.5.3
python 3.7.2
Got it to go. Considerably following this instructions did the trick. I was able to overload the particular template from within the apphook application.

Edit Content of website without opening HTML file

is there some other way to edit or change some text or pictures on my website using it's interface or not from the HTML file, cause my client is wondering on how can day update the "Events" Box(they don't know how to use HTML) i'm really new at this and open to any suggestions, thank you
It depends on what you are using. if you are using a CMS based program that would be possible.
you cannot edit a page without opening its files right of the browser without any external help.
It seems that you want to edit the content of your website. Yes, its possible without opening any file using your CMS Dashboard. If the content is static then you have to open the php/html file.

Add custom input form in MediaWiki homepage

Where can I put custom input form code in media wiki homepage?
This is so I can modify it into fewer steps for a user to create a new page. The input form will be for entering the title of the new page.
Currently, when adding a page, the user has to search for a page, and if it doesn't exist, it redirects to another page with a link to add the new page. After that it will load the built-in Wiki editor(will also modify this to default to the Visual Editor extension I integrated instead of Wiki editor).
Any input would be greatly appreciated.
There are a number of extensions that can do what you want:
InputBox, is bundled with recent versions of MediaWiki. It is used with Wikimedia wikis, and thus probably very stable.
CreateBox, specifically for letting users create pages
Create Page, more general aproach
Semantic Forms The most fulfledged, but also the most complex, and requires the Semantic MediaWiki extension
You might also want to combine this with some biolerplate extension, e.g. Preloader
As you are posting on SO, I assume that developing your own extension would also be an option. In that case, have a look at the parser functions manual: https://www.mediawiki.org/wiki/Manual:Parser_functions
The file in which i can add/modify a custom input form in the media wiki homepage would be the /rootWikiDir/skins/Vector.php

Integrating a Back button

I have this theme http://themes.two2twelve.com/site/fluidapp/light/ installed on my website running wordpress. I converted the template to a wordpress theme by following the steps here: http://thethemefoundry.com/blog/html-wordpress/ and its all working fine.
However, I have now been given the crazy task to integrate a "Back button" function in it.
What they want is to have some sort of Back button functionality (or the browser one) so when they open Team and they press Back - they go back to Home. The template is basically one-paged, you can see so in the source code.
One way I can see this happening is if I make every page a different .php file, upload them to my theme folder and then just hyperlink them. like www.yoursite.com/team.php
Another possible way (I think) would be to create a page.php template file and then post the pages using wordpress. Question: How do I tell wordpress to use page.php as the page template file?
Can you think of another way to integrate this functionality? Thanks a lot in advance.
If it always is going to return the user to the startpage you could just use the home_url(); function.
Back
If you got more advance structure and you want the button to just redirect the user back one page, you should use javascript.
Back
page.php is the default template for wordpress pages. So if no other is selected in admin, page.php will be used.
If you're using javascript to load the new content, you could use javascript pushState()and popState() to log the stuff to new url's, and it gets added to the browser history. Here's an example.
