I remember reading a blog post or something somewhere that said that Google+ either was a modified version of a popular social networking software or was modeled after something of the sort. I however cannot find this post any longer or anything similar.
At least let me know if anyone sees strong similarities between the platform and another open source platform.

Diaspora seems to have provided inspiration for Google+, not sure if it goes beyond merely inspiring it.

I've been working on a website for about 5 months and i have been testing a lot of features like
posts, downvotes and upvotes, etc
One the features was chatvoice
The problem is that i haven't found any relevant information about making chatvoice a thing in an html website
I believe you asking how to convert speech to text (Speech recognition). You can use python Library for performing speech recognition, with support for several engines and APIs, online and offline.
Please find this link for installation.

I want to detect the links in page which are used for advertisement. Or is there any statistical data by which I can guess this link is for advertisement?
I know this isn't a concrete answer, but if I were doing the same, I'd take a look at AdBlock and other add-ons in browsers such as Firefox since they do much the same. There are quite a few open source add-ons out there where you can view the code that does this. And even most email programs detect junk mail (and ads) using Bayesian filters which I'm sure with a bit of tweaking would work well.

I would like to get you opinions, what open source CMS is best for online tire shop? Basically I need it to have advanced search options, so I could make search by tire height, width, rim size, season type ect. I was thinking about OpenCart, but It seems it has very limited search capabilities. Any suggestions?
I found it that Magento is the best way to go. Many extensions, fantastic community, good documentation.

Can you suggest some free software for recording screencasts?
I don't need some special effects. If it lets me add some subtitles, it would be great. And even greater if it created small file size and in a format that lets me send it to YouTube or Vimeo without any conversions.
Try http://www.screencast-o-matic.com/. It is free and web-based, more or less platform agnostic. I've used it before, and it does the job.
I kind of like this one:

I'm looking at this service: http://www.intuitionhq.com It's great, but it requires the user to opt in to the test. I'd like to find a service that I can just embed some javascript on the page and wherever a user clicks is recorded so I can find out what's most popular on what page. Does anyone know of something like that?
I'm one of the folks from IntuitionHQ - just thought I'd drop in on this. As you say, we don't currently have that functionality, but we are always on the lookout for popular features, and I'll be sure to put another check mark next to this one on our list.
For what you are describing now Mouseflow sounds like it might do the trick, so perhaps check that out. And keep us in mind for when you want to test some different designs, or if you want to compare two designs with each other (as we also do A/B testing).
Good luck with your testing, and if you have any further questions, please do ask.
Cheers,
Jacob from IntuitionHQ.
