I already programmed small chrome extension that when you click on it's icon it sends you to a specific URL.
Now I need to add an Adsense Advertisement included in my extension code, so that the ads appear at youtube.com at the right ,
Please look at the image: http://i.stack.imgur.com/yhVz5.jpg, I just marked where I want my ads to appear.
I've already seen an extension that does that, but I don't know how to do it.
Have you read the program policies:
Ads in Chrome Apps and Extensions
https://developers.google.com/chrome/web-store/program_policies
Currently, AdSense may not be used to serve ads in Chrome extensions or packaged apps, per AdSense policies.
AdSense in packaged apps is being worked on. See the discussion here: https://groups.google.com/a/chromium.org/forum/?hl=en&fromgroups#!topic/chromium-apps/_47r_YKRdjA
In the meantime, star this issue: https://code.google.com/p/chromium/issues/detail?id=132602

I saw that adsense changed its rules recently and now ads can be put on chrome extensions. I dont know how to sign up though since i require a website to sign up normally. Is there a way around this?
Since chrome apps have all of their code included already in the package, does that mean I have to download twitter's entire sharing button api, or is there a better way to include social buttons in these?
When I view the impress.js website in chrome on iOS, the tab bar slides up and disappears. How do I do that?
Note: doesn't happen in safari on iOS.
A simple Google search would suffice for this question.

All are excellent resources (and the top three Google links!).
Essentially, there's a new API which allows JS to request fullscreen access. That's about it.
Can I create a plugin or an extension for Google Chrome MOBILE (Android Google Chrome)?
If not, can I create an extension for Google Chrome (desktop), which will add a button in Google Chrome bar. This button will open the page in another web browser (in my own web browser), so, this button should launch my own web browser.
Extensions are not supported, see: https://developers.google.com/chrome/mobile/docs/faq .

Does Chrome for Android now support the embedded WebView for a hybrid native/web app?
A Chrome-based WebView is included in Android 4.4 (KitKat) and later. See the WebView overview for details.
Does Chrome for Android support apps and extensions?
Chrome apps and extensions are currently not supported on Chrome for
Android. We have no plans to announce at this time.
Can I write and deploy web apps on Chrome for Android?
Though Chrome apps are not currently supported, we would love to see great interactive web sites accessible by URL.
You can use bookmarklets (javascript code in a bookmark) - this also means they sync across devices.
I have loads - I prefix the name with zzz, so they are eazy to type in to the address bar and show in drop down predictions.
To get them to operate on a page you need to go to the page and then in the address bar type the bookmarklet name - this will cause the bookmarklet to execute in the context of the page.
edit
Just to highlight - for this to work, the bookmarklet name must be typed into the address bar while the page you want to operate in is being displayed - if you go off to select the bookmarklet in some other way the page context gets lost, and the bookmarklet operates on a new empty page.
I use
zzzpocket - send to pocket.
zzztwitter tweet this page
zzzmail email this page
zzzpressthis send this page to wordpress
zzztrello send this page to trello
and more...
and it works in chrome whatever platform I am currently logged on to.
Some extensions like blocksite use the accessibility service API to deploy extension like features to Chrome on Android. Might be worth a look through the play store. Otherwise, Firefox is your best bet, though many extensions don't work on mobile for some reason.

Just use a different browser.
Follow the steps given below to install Chrome extensions on your Android device.
Step 1: Open Google Play Store and download Yandex Browser. Install the browser on your phone.
Step 2: In the URL box of your new browser, open 'chrome.google.com/webstore’ by entering the same in the URL address.
Step 3: Look for the Chrome extension that you want and once you have it, tap on 'Add to Chrome.’
The added Chrome extension will now be automatically added to the Yandex browser.
I imagine that there are not many browsers supporting extension. Indeed, I have been interested in this question for the last year and I only found Dolphin supporting add-ons and other cool features announced few days ago. I want to test it soon.
When I visit some websites, on top of the browser it promotes me to install Chrome Extension by saying "This website now has Google Chrome Extension... Install".
Anyone knows how to do this? Does Google already provide scripts to do this?
Example: Visit the following site using Chrome:
http://www.independent.co.uk
Now, it's possible to do what you need. Just follow this link, that explains how to use "inline" installation once you've published your app or extension at Chrome Webstore.
PS. Inline installation only works in Chrome 15+
Paul Kinlan's Badgemator is a good resource for this sort of thing. It creates a JavaScript snippet that you can put on your site in order to direct users to the webstore entry.
It doesn't attempt to mimic Chrome's infobar in the same way that The Independent does, but I personally think that's a good thing. Pretending to be part of the browser is a good way to confuse users, and isn't something I'd recommend (especially now that the infobar extends outside the browser window into Chrome's own UI).
What you're seeing is not built into Chrome, and not provided by Google.
The site will have some code that detects your browser agent (either via Javascript or a server-side script), sees that it's Chrome, and then adds some extra HTML/CSS/Javascript to make a mock UI element to grab your attention. Inspect the element to see what's really happening.
Another example is http://page2rss.com/page?url=www.stackoverflow.com/
Also, see Alerting website visitors that a chrome extension is available - how?
I wrote a jQuery extension that does just that: http://blog.dreasgrech.com/2012/01/promoting-your-chrome-extension-with.html
The simplest way to use it is to simply pass the ID of your Chrome extension:
$.fn.extInfobar({
id: 'nbilgjjflfiiijecdjpnbganoiafneph'
});
That generates the following:
From Chrome 15 there is API for this.
Just ask Chrome if your extension is installed.
You need to publish your extension in Google Chrome Extensions site, then you'll be able to publish it in your site.
You'll need to pay a one-time fee ($5) in order to get registered as a developer.
As of 06/12/2018, inline installation is deprecated. For more information, read our Chromium Blog post and Migration FAQ.
