Multiple HitTestObject ActionScript 3.0 - actionscript-3

I've been developing a video gamish thing in AS3. I have an array to draw a game field that contains road, fire, finish gate etc. Then, I add a MovieClip that is controled via mouse by player and try to check collisions with road MovieClip.
However, I does not work... It never traces "IN". I couldn't find any error in my code -But you never be sure...
Could you give a hand to solve this problem?

Adding hitTest function:

And hitTest function:

PS: If I make the condition !player.hitTestObject( road ), it always traces "IN".

There's not enough code here to see exactly what's going on but it's obvious that the hitTest will fail because you are only checking against one road object, but according to your map array there should be many road objects.
You will need an array to store the road objects:
var roadArray:Array = [];
Wherever you create the road objects you should also be inserting them into this array:
roadArray.push(road);
Then when you perform the hitTest you must loop through the entire array and check each road object for a collision:

Trying to understand logic behind map method

I am trying to understand the logic of using array methods within Map functions (such as push, slice, etc). Below, I have a function that is trying to add an element in the middle of a 2D array, but it comes out completely blank. Not sure what I am missing

In your script, how about the following modification?
From:

});
or, in this case, the following modification might be able to be used.
let newNumbers = numbers.map(([a, b, ...c]) => [a, b, "Hello", ...c]);

Hide an array of columns in Google App Scripts

Beginner programmer here, apologies in advance if my vocabulary is not really accurate while explaining my issue.
I have a script that creates a custom menu (view) and hides different set of columns based on the view you want to see.
How can I change the script so instead of typing all my columns I can get an array of columns (in this case array [1 to 4] and [7 to 13])?
Below the particular section of my code that I'd like to change

I guessed that you wanted to retrieve an array of [1, 2, 3, 4, 7, 8, 9, 10, 11, 12, 13] by using 2 arrays like [1 - 4], [7 -13]. If my understanding is correct, how about the following sample script?
Sample script:
const input = [[1, 4], [7, 13]]; // 1st and 2nd element of each array are start and end values, respectively.
const res = input.flatMap(([start, end]) => [...Array(end)].map((_, i) => i + 1).slice(start - 1, end));
console.log(res);
When this script is run, an array of [ 1, 2, 3, 4, 7, 8, 9, 10, 11, 12, 13 ] is obtained.

I actually found similar piece of code to add to my script online. However it does not fit my case as I need to give the name of each sheets where I want to hide columns.
And, in your provided script, I found the following message.
I have other speadsheets with 1000+ columns, so I cannot hide them manually from 1 to 1000. This is the reasons why I'm trying to include several arrays in my script

Suggestion
In your script I am not sure where you will use the arrays 1-4 and 7-13 since in the scripts specially on the part { sheetName: "Planning / Tracking", hide: [1, 2, 3, 4, 7, 8, 9, 11, 12, 13 ] } you are skipping number 10 here and on the other function you skipped 2.
Here's a suggestion on how you can use an array to your function. You can just add a new variable outside the functions to make it global variables, here is where you will insert the array values you want. You can then access these variables in any of your functions so you only have to edit one line in case you will adjust the columns.

as3 Changing dynamic text in a symbol

I have a symbol tile with multiple keyframes. One of the keyframes has a dynamic text box with the instance name pTwo.
I want to change the text in pTwo to an empty string and have tried:

All the arrays are made from the symbol called 'tile' which consists of different key frames. So each number in the array references a different key frame. I have a character and when the character walks over the tile- I want the dynamic text to change to empty to imitate an empty tile- alternatively if theres a way to replace the tile with a [0] , that would also be good.

Sorry i was not clear from the start. New at actionscript so i apologise in advance if my terminology is unclear.
Is this "tile" symbol available in all frames? If the playhead is moving, then the symbols within the MovieClip may become dereferenced. Add the "pTwo" object to your Watch list in debug and determine if it object exists as the "tile" symbol plays.
You may need to create a single frame symbol with 2 layers. One with the animated symbol and the other with the text.
If the TextField only exists on a particular frame, and you're sure that it's the current frame, you can use this:
TextField(getChildByName("pTwo")).text = "";
If you're not always sure, just wrap it in a try block:
try {
TextField(getChildByName("pTwo")).text = "";
} catch(error:Error) {
trace("text field doesn't exist on this frame");
}
If pTwo lives inside of a Movieclip, the code might look something like this:
