Title window in Flex - actionscript-3

I want to make title window (pop up) in flex .. which contains some buttons if i click on any button then another button has to add outside the title window
can anyone help me out.
Thanking you

Pop ups can be achieved using the Alert class. Say for showing a pop up below code might work
Alert.show("Alert Text", "Title", Alert.OK, this, start_app);
The Alert.OK specifies the buttons to be included. You can include more by using OR operator. The labels of these button can also be changed to meet your requirements. The start_app is called the closeHandler which will be triggered if any button in the Alert is pressed. Further logic can be put in the closeHanlder. For detailed information see http://help.adobe.com/en_US/FlashPlatform/reference/actionscript/3/mx/controls/Alert.html

Auto resize the width of input text area on hidden DIV

I use a Hide/Show .js script that hides some checkboxes and on the right side there is the search field when I click to hide it I want to expand.
Ex.
Before hidding:
Before hidding Image
After hidding I want the search field to be expanded 100%
After hidding Image
I searched for 2 days something and can't find a way to make it expand I use the bTemplate engine to store the HTML code.
Did you try changing the CSS properties through the "setAttribute" method of the elements in question through Javascript? Basically, the code you used to "hide some of the checkboxes" in the first place is pretty much like how you'd write the code to do the other things you're looking to do.
In other words, When you want the checkboxes out of view and the text entry box centered, as in your second reference pic, you could have the Javascript code written through the "setAttribute" method so that when a particular event happens, the css "display" parameter for the check boxes could be set to "hidden", the size of the text entry box can be increased, and the css "position" parameter for the text entry box can be set to have it centered, etc.
That is, of course if I understand your issue correctly. Can you provide the code you are using? I'm sure me or someone else could clarify things more if we could see what you have written.
Hope that helps at least a little! :)

How to open a link in a pop up iframe window

I have text that I need to link to where you click on it and an iframe window pops up with the content from an external site. I have found code that when I use it, a box appears above the text and the content shows in the box when clicked. But I need it to not show anything until the link is clicked.
<iframe name="book" src="https://www.timetrade.com/book/9PK2K"></iframe>
Book Now!
This is the code I used to try to get it to link to a pop up iframe window but it showed a box above the text.
You'll need to use some javascript for this.
A simple onClick() method that sets the display to 'Block' and 'None' to display and hide, respectively, should do the trick.
The javascript would set style.display="none" by default, and the onClick will be written to set style.display="block" or some un-hidden attribute.
Check out this http://www.w3schools.com/jsref/event_onclick.asp for onClick
and http://www.w3schools.com/jsref/prop_style_display.asp for using javascript to show/hide DOM objects.
Good luck!

Opening pulldown section with button

There is probably an answer for this but I have no idea of the terminology I would search for unfortunately!
Basically, there is a button on my Wordpress website at the top right which when clicked, pulls down a form to fill out. What's the easiest way of creating a button further down the page which would open that pulldown and take the user up there, presumably with an anchor? Simple HTML/CSS would be ideal because A: I can create a text box in the page layout creator and just paste the code in there and B: My coding knowledge is quite limited!
The website is www.harringtonsproperty.co.uk. The button in question is the BOOK A VALUATION at the top right.
Thank you!
This cannot be done with CSS alone. You need to use JavaScript.
Currently, the 'click' event is described at the top of the custom.js file. You'll need to add an additional JS function into this file to achieve what you want. For starters/example:
jQuery('button#contactToggle2').click(function(e){
e.preventDefault();
if( jQuery('#contactSlide').css('display') == 'block' ) {
jQuery('#contactSlide').slideUp(500);
} else {
jQuery('#contactSlide').slideDown(500);
// Handle scroll to top
jQuery('html, body').animate({scrollTop : 0},800);
}
})
You'll then need to give your new button an id="contactToggle2" in order for this to work. Again, this is just an example.

How to dynamically change a button text

I'm trying to work around a webview issue on Android devices using Select drop down menus, using instead radio buttons in a popup to make user selections
What I need though is for the button text to change according to the selection the user has made. I've put togetaher a Fiddle of what I thought would work, but it's not playing ball, and I was wondering if any wiser heads out there could offer some advice.
Fiddle here;
http://jsfiddle.net/vinomarky/gEXhD/
Note: I've currently added some alerts in there when the javascripts fire, but they are not firing, and am not sure why not.
Question 1:
How to change the button text to match the user selection
Question 2:
How to make the radio selection minimize as soon as a user has made a selection, without having to click off the radio
Thanks in advance
you can use jquery click event instead of using onclick attribute
because you use jquery mobile ui, to change button text you should change button text container value not pressure_cands itself
and to hide popup screen when an item selected call click event of popupBasic-screen div
$('#updown1').click(function(){
// to change button label
$('#pressure_cands .ui-btn-text').html('THP');
// call popupBasic-screen click event to hide popup menu
$('#popupBasic-screen').click();
});
$('#updown2').click(function(){
// to change button label
$('#pressure_cands .ui-btn-text').html('FBHP');
// call popupBasic-screen click event to hide popup menu
$('#popupBasic-screen').click();
});

Flex 3 custom components positioning - popups

I have created a custom TitleWindow whcih i use as a popup. The contents of the popup are created dynamically depending on a selection a user makes from a datagrid.
My problem is, my datagrid is in another custom component whcih is toward the bottom of my page so when a user clicks one of the items the popup is displayed however with half of it out of sight at the bottom of the page.
Is there a way to position a popup so that it displays at the top of the page?
I know at least two things you can use to position a popup, though there might be more.
When you place a popup you can choose in which parent component to place the popup:
PopUpManager.createPopUp(this.parent, TitleWindowComponent);
In the component itself:
PopUpManager.centerPopUp(this);
I wanted a help tooltip type popup (with help text) to appear next to the icon that opened it. In the end I used move(x,y) to move the window where I wanted it. To get the coordinates to place it, use globalToLocal:
var globalX:Number = localToGlobal(new Point(myIcon.x, myIcon.y)).x;
var globalY:Number = localToGlobal(new Point(myIcon.x, myIcon.y)).y;
toolTip.move(globalX + myIcon.width, globalY);
That puts the window just to the right of the icon, myIcon.
