So, I'm working with localstorage and need to create a login page. That will only login with those users that register in that same browser/mobile phone were the registe was done. The problem that I'm facing is that, I can only have on pair user/password because I dont know how to check it. I'll explain: if I have more that one user, it would login with any user/pass as long they where in the localStorge, and not necessarily with the corresponding ones. I need to check if the user is the "owner" of that password.
You will have to serialize an array to localStorage.

I am stuck on this and the other posts I have read on here are not useful. So I've reached a point where i need to ask for help after many hours on not resolving what I feel should be a simple task. I program in Swift usually and really know little about html or javasript.
I am building a simple webpage to log-in to Firebase and a second linked page to upload data to a database. Both work fine. The problem is getting the uploaded data to link to the uid of the current user.
So I am logged into an existing user with it's own uid. How do I then upload the data to the current user did in the database? Should be simple but I am just not getting it :-(
Code for uploading data is as follows (note I have tried using both set and push):

It is a best practice to create a new database node using the UID generated by the account creation as the path after /users.
Right now, when you push data into /users, Firebase creates a uid for that particular array item that does not correspond to the UID of the user.
If you use set, you need to specify the path you will set which should include the long UI: /users/longGUIDhere
You can get the user id with something like this (from Firebase docs):

Today I wanted to greet the user in my app by name, but I did not manage to get it.
I found System.User, but lacking some examples I did not manage to get the info I needed. I saw no possibility to get the current user (id) to call User.GetFromId().

Okay, So first things first, getting access to a user's personal information is a privilege you have to request, so in your store app's Package.appxmanifest, you'll need to enable the User Account Information capability in the Capabilities tab.
Next, you'll want to be using the Windows.System.User class, not the System.User (System.User isn't available to Windows store apps, which you appear to be discussing given the tags you provided for your question)
Third, you'll want to request personal information like this.

When you call GetPropertiesAsync, your user will get a permission prompt from the system asking them if they want to give you access to that. If they answer 'No', you'll get an empty user object (but you'll still get a unique token you can use to distinguish that user if they use the app again).
If they answer yes, you'll be able to get access to the properties below, and various others.

I am trying to display an input area in a Jade file with pre-populated data gathered from the session info being stored in mongodb session store. The web app is built on Express for node.js. My Jade file looks like this with the input area (pre-populated with session data):
input(name='username', value='#{username}')
So the input area is displaying the correct username stored in the session. Then, I want the user to be able to edit that field and submit a new username if desired. My mongodb update() looks like this:

Once submitted however, the document in the mongodb collection for the related profile is not being updated, it's keeping the same value that's been pre-populated. I'm wondering if this is because I'm assigning it as a value= in the Jade file? Any advice on what is wrong and how to fix it?

The answer was on the mongodb update() side of things. I left a big part out of my question apparently... The selection criteria was actually this:
input(name='username', value='#{username}', disabled)
I didn't realize disabled fields would pass in undefined values, I just thought it made them un-editable. So the update() wasn't working because it couldn't find any matching documents in the collection because username was undefined. You know what they say about assumptions!
I'll credit you #Plato with the answer though, the hint to investigate the values is what lead me to figure this out.
I want to store a hash/JSON data of users in Redis and want to add the user in users hash the user data like this.
For example, users = {};
When user rahul logs in then users will become.

What will the code be to do this in Redis?
How will I initialise the key users and add rahul to it?
Out of this set, hset, etc., which function do I need to use?
And how will I retrieve the data of users['rahul'] via Redis?
Probably the most optimal solution to store single hash/json would be to use hashes commands. I also had this "dilemma" and there are several questions regarding data structure containing users with JSON-like objects in Redis.

Use node_redis module. It's actively maintained by a pro a probably the most used node.js driver for Redis. First you should use SADD command to add your new JSON object name into the set in order to track which items "users" contain. Then use HMSET to store "user:rahul" object key-value hashes. Example:

client.hmset("user:rahul", "username", "rahul", "foo", "bar");
// add second user
client.sadd("users", "user:namita");
client.hmset("user:namita", "username", "namita", "foo", "baz");
You can now access your users by various types of redis hash command depending if you want to retrieve only certain hash values or the entire single user object. To get all of the users you can use SMEMBERS command for example. Try to look at the node_redis readme and examples where you should find more information about its API.
I need help to quickly add about >100 username and password to a locally installed Wordpress.
I have a list of usernames in text file, and I'd let each password to be equal to username (or someother function if equal is not allowed by Wordpress).
Is there a way I can programmatically add users to Wordpress? I have access to wordpress database if that helps.

If you don't want to use a plugin and you have your users and passwords stored in an array, simply throw it into a loop and use the 'wp_create_user' function. It takes 3 parameters (username, password and email). It will return the ID if successful and false if not.
