I have started a new Lightswitch project using a SQL database that was created with Lightswitch. When I publish and install the new Desktop project everything goes fine with no errors in publishing, installing or loading the new application. The first and only screen appears. I can click on different records and the data shows up and I can edit the data. However, if I use the list search function all of the fields get Red x'd.
The original application works the way it supposed to work.
I have tried with and without IIS: Published with (local) and (IIS) and get the same results with both methods.
The connecection string options for the new app are not the same as the original in that System Admin and Sytem user connecection strings are not offered so it is difficult to know if I replicating a working setup or not.
In Mananagement Studio I am awash in security, permissions, roles, and login selecitons. It seems clear that this is permission level problem but I have no idea on where to start trouble shooting.

How many string properties are in the table that you're displaying? Is there a large number of properties that don't need to be included in the search?
This forum post discusses the same issue as you're encountering: Search returns error "Unable to load data" with a Red X
Have you checked your connection string setup? I do have those issues back when I was using SQL Express on development and using SQL Server Enterprise as my target database server.

Do not seem to be able to find any place in the portal or Report Builder where I can actually edit the connect string & creds.
Report Manager shows the XML, but that really is it.
Disk files (from the looks of it) are no longer present in high versions (using SQL 2016/2017).
Is there a known location anywhere in GUI, or maybe direct edits in the SQL Server repository?
I can't even delete a shared source anymore, only view or test the connection.
If anybody could post a screenshot, it'll be highly appreciated.
EDIT: Just found out - when I create a new Data Source, it's editable; the imported data sources are not.
There are two ways of doing this. You can set the 'overwrite datasource' option in the project properties.
Or, you can got to the report portal , show hidden items in the view menu and there is a folder called "data sources". Open this and you will see all data sources, from there you can edit and save changes. All reports that use that datasource will be affected.
I'm beginner in hybris. I need to create a jasper reports, using flexible search and mysql server. But I can only use the sql query statement without flexible search in report file (Jrxml source file (.jrxml)).
How can I using the flexible search with mysql?
Are you following the guide provided in Hybris Help for building a custom report? It can be found at https://help.hybris.com/6.3.0/hcd/8b6e40ee86691014b99eda29aebc9d84.html
In the interest of having a source of information in case the link ever becomes dead:
Go to ${HYBRIS_DIR}/hybris/bin/platform
setantenv.bat for Windows or . ./setantenv.sh for Unix/Linux
Go to ${HYBRIS_DIR}/hybris/bin/ext-platform-optional/virtualjdbc
Run the ant command ant dist
Go to ${HYBRIS_DIR}/hybris/temp/hybris/virtualjdbc. You should have two files that have been generated here, hybris-virtualjdbc.jar and vjdbc.jar
You now need to copy these two files to ${HYBRIS_DIR}/hybris/bin/ext-platform-optional/virtualjdbc/lib
Download the Jaspersoft Studio Tool at http://community.jaspersoft.com/project/jaspersoft-studio
Install and Open Jaspersoft Studio
Go to Tools > Options > iReport > Classpath
Click Add JAR twice, each time selecting one of the newly copied JAR files (hybris-virtualjdbc.jar and vjdbc.jar)
Click OK
You now need to setup the Data Source, to do this:
Click on the Report Datasource icon ()
In the newly opened window, click New
Select Database JDBC Connection and click Next
On the next screen you may provide any name for your JDBC Connection
In the JDBC Driver field, make sure you type de.hybris.vjdbc.VirtualDriver
In the JDBC URL field, make sure you type jdbc:hybris:sql:http:///virtualjdbc/service, where is the location of your application server (e.g. https://localhost:9002). Remember this will change with each environment!
Provide a Hybris User for the Username and Password. It may be worth using the admin user to begin with, but make sure you lock it down at a later stage to a user with less access, such as vjdbcReportsUser
Test the connection. Remember you will need the server up and running to be able to use vjdbc
From here onwards, you should be able to create a report using Flexible Search style syntax!
I am developing Java web application what based on Spring Framework, MySQL, JPA. I have a problem when try to persistence data from HTML form to SQL database, then I try to debug and fix. I am using IntelliJ IDEA Ultimate 2017.1. I catch error:
Cannot resolve column 'product_name' This inspection controls whether
the Persistence ORM annotations are checked against configured
Datasources
This is screenshot:
How to fix it?
For those who just want to disable this check, go to
Intellij IDEA -> Preferences -> Search "Unresolved database references in annotations" and uncheck it.
(macOS Mojave and Intellij Ultimate 2019.3)
This will disable the inspection and remove all the "Cannot resolve column…" errors on the #Column annotations. Intellij will stop checking if the String column names exist in the database tables. Do it at your own risk.
Open Persistence tool windows, right click on module, then set DataSource. IntelliJ IDEA will validate source code by real SQL database.
You have to manage your data sources. I followed the steps detailed here
https://www.jetbrains.com/help/pycharm/managing-data-sources.html.
In my case, I did the following (I am using Pycharms, but I assume the process is similar for other Jetbrains IDEs):
Bring the Data sources and drivers window by going to view > tool windows > database
Click the wrench icon to configure the db connection
Configure it, and try that the connection works with Test Connection
Pycharms should now autocomplete fields in the db.
If it still doesn't work:
try restarting Pycharms.
go to options (command + ,), then search for SQL, select menu SQL Resolution Scopes, and try adding a scope by clicking +, then selecting your current project folder as path, and your db as the resolution scope
I found a TEMPORARY work around for this bug.
Please before you follow my workaround do exactly what #Benjamin Crouzier's answer suggests. THEN, go to any of the unresolved columns, right click it and they click execute. and Boom annoying warning SOLVED :)
After trying all the solutions above, I solved this by clicking Refresh in the database tool window.
During packaging the Windows Store application, I get an unspecified error [APPX1204]:
C:\Program Files (x86)\MSBuild\Microsoft\VisualStudio\v11.0\AppxPackage\Microsoft.AppXPackage.Targets(1139,9): error APPX1204: Failed to sign 'D:\Projects\VS2012\Stroik\Stroik\AppPackages\Stroik_1.0.0.11_AnyCPU_Test\Stroik_1.0.0.11_AnyCPU.appx'. SignTool Error: An unexpected internal error has occurred.
Build output refers to the part of a file generated by VS2012:
<SignAppxPackage AppxPackageToSign="#(FinalAppxPackageItem)"
CertificateThumbprint="$(PackageCertificateThumbprint)"
CertificateFile="$(PackageCertificateKeyFile)"
HashUri="$(_HashUri)"
EnableSigningChecks="$(EnableSigningChecks)"
>
<Output TaskParameter="ResolvedThumbprint" PropertyName="ResolvedThumbPrint"/>
<Output TaskParameter="AppxPackagePublicKeyFile" PropertyName="AppxPackagePublicKeyFile" />
</SignAppxPackage>
Yesterday packaging proceeded successfully. Today I added aditional logic to my app and changed some data in manifest. Since then I'm reciving presented error. I tried to regenerate Certificate in Packaging menu, delete Store/Temporary Keys (then regenerate), ... much more but nothing helps.
Now I have no idea how to handle it. Furthermore packaging a new project (as it is provided by vs2012) results in the same error.
Have you got any suggestions how to solve it.
If it helps anyone else, I was trying to make the build on a network share (virtualizing windows). Creating it on the Windows partition solved the issue.
I was developing on a Virtual Machine in VirtualBox and tryed to publish to the shared folder.
Change the output folder to a local folder on the virtual maschine solved it.
Granted this is older - see if you can try it with a different live id
You could also try to generate a new app, and diff the manifests between the apps.
Now according to:
http://social.msdn.microsoft.com/Forums/en-US/toolsforwinapps/thread/f25939fb-c48c-4bd0-938e-6a0afbd2dca0/
you may want to sign out, use IE 'in safe private browsing' and create a new one.
Also ensure that IE is set in "Browsing History->Settings" to get a new version of the page every time.
Login with the new one and give it a try.
I'm not sure if this error is related here or not, but it's a starting point based on the prior feedback on the above post.
This japanese site lists the same error code and seems to have the same resolution as well
http://coelacanth.heteml.jp/blog/windows-8signtool-error-an-unexpected-internal-error-has-occurred/
Its worth a shot, but I'll admit on this one not being 100% sure, just trying to help out : )
I am working with TS-7500 (ARM 9) board running Debian Linux (Linux ts7500 2.6.24.4). It is connected to a couple of sensors and is running driver code to talk to these sensors.
Every time the C program starts, it reads a couple of config-parameters from a config-file and starts sensors with those values.
So the task at hand is : presenting a web interface to show/edit these config-parameters to user. The task of the web interface can be summarized in four steps :
Read config-parameters from the config-file and show the current configuration
Allow user to change the configuration
Capture and save the changes to same config-file
These config-parameters could be presented as drop-down menu items or radio-buttons. And I have a linux background script which restarts the C prg when config-file is modified.
I know TS-7500 runs Tomcat. Now please suggest a good way to handle this problem. I have heard about using Servlet and JSPs (am not very familiar with those actually). Which one of them is suitable to generate HTML pages dynamically ? (as I see everytime I need to generate a new HTML page by selecting the current configuration while displaying the page).
Sorry for being very elaborate !
EDIT : Beeps ! No reply ? Come on guyz, is the question not clear ? Or no one has ever faced a similar problem (design problem) ??
The solution would be to use a PHP in addition with Apache web server ! PHP script could be used to
Read the config file and capturing the parameters
Generate a HTML form (by pre-selecting the dropdown menus and radio buttons from the already read parameters)
And capturing the new edits and saving them to config file.
PHP script must be placed in /var/www/ directory of the embedded board. Then from any system, it could be accessed just by keying the IP address of the board and the script name using a simple web browser.
