Anyone know when Javassist 3.17.0-GA will be made available?
There is a bug in Javaassit (fixed in 3.17.0-GA) that is breaking PowerMock when used with Java 7:
https://issues.jboss.org/browse/JASSIST-160?focusedCommentId=12718716&page=com.atlassian.jira.plugin.system.issuetabpanels:comment-tabpanel#comment-12718716
Associated PowerMock bug
http://code.google.com/p/powermock/issues/detail?id=355

It's available. It looks like updating the version has resolved my issue which I believe would have been similar to yours. I assume your problem is some variation of java.lang.VerifyError: Expecting a stackmap frame.
At the time of writing version 3.19 of Javassist is available. PowerMock 1.5.1 is also updated to use Javassist 3.18 GA.
Alternative fixes
Besides the upgrade, one of the other recommended solutions is the use of the JVM argument -XX:-UseSplitVerifier from a combination of here on Java 7 stack map issues and here on the PowerMock issues registry about java.lang.VerifyError (which you have linked to).
Implementations Of Alternative Fixes
In IntelliJ I've added the -UseSplitVerifier to my JUnit runner but there are also recommendations about adding it to the Maven Surefire plugin in your build in order to make the solution portable such as is recommended in this post.

Could anyone help me in installing?
Thanks in advance
It says you need glibc version 2.4 as a minimum, and 2.3.4 isn't there as well. Since RHEL4 ends at 2.3.4 and you don't have it, your problem is either:
You're trying to install a RHEL5 RPM on a (pre-4.8) RHEL4 box.
You don't have the 32-bit versions of glibc installed on a RHEL5-64 box.
You said it's a 32-bit box, so it looks like the former. You might be able to rebuild the RPMs from the source one, but if your OS is that old, it's unlikely to work.

I have just started playing with ejabberd server for XMPP stuff.
I could setup it up successfully on a VPS using the default Mnesia database.
Now I am trying to configure ejabberd to use a mysql database (instead of Mnesia). I am following the documentation. I have done everything except install the Erlang MySQL library. Unfortunately, the link they give in the document is broken. The link is: https://support.process-one.net/doc/display/CONTRIBS/Yxa.
By, googling I could fing this github repo that claims to be an extension and enhancement of the driver that is linked on ejabberd documentation.
I WOULD LIKE TO KNOW WHAT IS THE RECOMMENDED ERLANG MYSQL LIBRARY (TO WORK WITH EJABBERD).
I found here a supposedly enhanced version of the library. According to the site:
This MySQL driver for Erlang is based on the Yxa driver obtained from
Process One (at
https://support.process-one.net/doc/display/CONTRIBS/Yxa) It includes
several new features such as prepared statements, transactions, binary
queries, type-converted query results, more efficient logging and a
new connection pooling mechanism.
I installed erlang tools on my ubuntu instance that allowed me to compile the library.
There are a lot of forks of emysql driver in the wild b/c of original driver is no longer maintained, but recent news I heard that it was picked and improved, check this repo

I was evaluating ZK framework, which is LGPL and it's spring plugin zk-spring is GPL.
If i develop a system with different application like domain, web(zk, zk-spring), web-services. Now When I deploy these application on the client machine, would i have to also provide all the source code of my applications to the client? I also want to keep proprietary of code to myself.
Or Should i buy license and can own my application code and don't have to use the GPL.
I am not clear so, please answer my all concerns and issue involved here.
looking forward to hear from you soon and thanks in advance.
If you wish to distribute any work that is derivative of, or contains sufficient protectable expressive content taken from, a work covered by the GPL, you must also distribute the source code of that work, even if you wrote it. There really is no better answer possible. If you need an opinion that you can legally rely on, consult an attorney.

I've been looking at OpsCode's Chef, which seems pretty cool. I was wondering if anyone else had encountered useful tools?
The classic is cfengine. It's been around forever.
CFEngine has indeed been around forever, but the newest version (CFEngine 3) is a complete rewrite from previous versions. The policy language in CF3 is redesigned to make it more consistent and extensible. There's also now, if you are so inclined, a commercial version that has a nice graphical user interface and other enhancements.
There's a whole lot of information about CFEngine at http://cfengine.com/tech
(disclaimer: I work at CFEngine AS)

I have ported some LGPL code from Java to C#, which I plan to release as an open source component. Do I have to release my new library under LGPL too, or can I go with something less restrictive like MS-PL?
Since you're basing your work on the original LGPL work, it seems to me that your work is a derivative of the original, and so section 2 of the license applies: Your code needs to be LGPL or, at your option, GPL. (The wording is different in versions 2 and 3, but it's the same section.) But I'm just a programmer, so what do I know? You're asking a question about the law, so your best course of action is to ask a lawyer.
I believe you have to use LGPL:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/GNU_Lesser_General_Public_License#Differences_from_the_GPL
It depends on whether your port is a derivative work (generally port == derivative work).
