Flash fullscreen when loads - actionscript-3

Im using adobe flash / AS3
This animation will be used as a autorun splash screen
how to do swf to be fullscren on load?
where to write this on_load event

It works in a projector with a simple delay on the fullscreen initiation.
I used that method:
function whatever(constructorOrOther:One)
{
setTimeout(setToFullScreen, 1);
}
function setToFullScreen()
{
stage.displayState = StageDisplayState.FULL_SCREEN_INTERACTIVE;
stage.scaleMode = StageScaleMode.SHOW_ALL;
}

Is this for flash player (in browser)? Like the documentation says, you can only go into fullscreen as a result of a mouse click or keyboard input ( http://help.adobe.com/en_US/FlashPlatform/reference/actionscript/3/flash/display/Stage.html#displayState ).
Full-screen mode is initiated in response to a mouse click or key press by the user; the movie cannot change Stage.displayState without user input. Flash runtimes restrict keyboard input in full-screen mode. Acceptable keys include keyboard shortcuts that terminate full-screen mode and non-printing keys such as arrows, Space, Shift, and Tab keys. (Use full-screen interactive mode to support input from additional keys.) Keyboard shortcuts that terminate full-screen mode are: Escape (Windows, Linux, and Mac), Control+W (Windows), Command+W (Mac), and Alt+F4.

Flash exit fullscreen mode on PrintJob

I am using a flash image viewer developed with actionscript 2.0 and used only with IE. It uses flash PrintJob to print images.
var printJob:PrintJob = new PrintJob();
printJob.start()
printJob.addPage(printMc)
printJob.send();
delete printJob;
But when PrintJob is invoked at fullscreen mode, print dialog appears and flash player exits fullscreen mode. Is this a security limitation in Flash ? or Is there any workaround to stop exiting fullscreen mode?
Tested environment
Browser: IE9
OS : Windows 7 64 bit
Flash Player: 11.1.102.63
I would imagine that it's down to the Operating System rather than a unique Flash issue. You can't keep a window in fullscreen mode if it's not the active window; and when you open the Print dialog, that becomes the active window - thus bumping your Flash out of fullscreen mode.
No workarounds that I can think of, because it's not Flash that's controlling this - it's the OS.

`FullScreenTakeOver` property not working: How can I keep an FLVPlayback out of fullscreen mode in a fullscreen projector?

I have an FLVPlayback component on my timeline (frame 4 or so), and my Flash Projector is running in fullscreen mode. The problem is that I can't seem to make my FLVPlayback component NOT be in fullscreen mode and at the same time, have my stage in fullscreen mode.
Why is this? How do I fix it?
EDIT:
I want the projector to be in fullscreen mode, and the FLVPlayback to not be in fullscreen.
EDIT2:
I'm making an interactive projector in Flash CS5. The projector opens, loads a video into an FLVPlayback component in the first frame. For some reason, that FLVPlayback component does not take over the screen. (I've called flv.fullScreenTakeOver = false; before the video loads. Maybe that's why?)
However, when I try to use an FLVPlayback component in a different frame (frame 4), the video player takes over the screen, showing only a black screen while playing the video. It ignores the fullScreenTakeOver = false.
What could be wrong here and how do I fix it?
it's rather easy to resize the Video instance to e.g. 25% of stage size on FullScreenEvent
UPD: working (but very simple) example on wonderfl.net i check on enter frame, but it's really too often:
video.addEventListener(Event.ENTER_FRAME, updSize);
private function updSize(e:Event = null):void{
video.width = stage.displayState == 'fullScreen' ? smallVidWidth : bigVidWidth;
video.height = stage.displayState == 'fullScreen' ? smallVidHeight : bigVidHeight;
}
imho it's always possible to know when the displayState is changed, but even using a timer would be better then enterframe

Fullscreen mode loaded when opening Flash Player

Is it possible to make a flash player go full screen (not in browser)?
Would there be any bug / error on different version of Flash player?
HI!
stage.displayMode = StageDisplayState.FULL_SCREEN_INTERACTIVE;
Available only in Adobe AIR.
It allows you to listen to keyboard events (meaning you can also type inside text boxes etc..)
stage.displayMode = StageDisplayState.FULL_SCREEN;
Available in any AS3 based flash file (starting from flash 9)
There is no issue with using it, except you cannot use the keybard.
From my experience with fullscreen mode's in flash the main thing to bear in mind is to make your application have liquid layouts which re-act to the Event.RESIZE. Then when you listen for that event re-lay out your application to the new ( fullscreen ) width and height.
To do this you would change the stage.displayMode to StageDisplayState.FULL_SCREEN
In Flash player it's Ctrl-F, as menu suggests, so it's certainly possible. Have you tried stage.displayMode = StageDisplayState.FULL_SCREEN_INTERACTIVE? StageDisplayState doc says it's here from version 9.0.28.0.

AS3: How to get fullscreen and keyboard input?

Since flash doesn't allow keyboard input while in fullscreen mode I'm wondering if there is a workaround to that?
I have a flash that is going to run fullscreen in a browser and needs different kinds of keyboard input. I have read something about AIR, but I don't fully understand it and would like another way if thats even possible.
Anybody knows?
public function setFullScreen():void
{
this.width = Capabilities.screenResolutionX;
this.height = Capabilities.screenResolutionY;
this.stage.align = StageAlign.TOP_LEFT;
this.stage.scaleMode = StageScaleMode.NO_SCALE;
this.stage.displayState = StageDisplayState.FULL_SCREEN_INTERACTIVE;
}
Use the FULL_SCREEN_INTERACTIVE
This is now possible in Flash Player 11.3+
Simply compile your application to support a minimum version of 11.3.0 and it will work if you use:
stage.displayState = StageDisplayState.FULL_SCREEN_INTERACTIVE;
in your html you must put:
<param name="allowFullScreenInteractive" value="true" />
you will see a prompt when you enter full screen:
you can see an example on this official adobe blog:
http://www.leebrimelow.com/wp-content/uploads/2012/04/overlay.gif
It is not possible to get input key with fullscreen mode within the browser.
Air is only for desktop application so if your application have to work into the browser no Air for you.
If you have to get input into fullscreen mode you can try to make a virtual keyboard (an example) and user will use the mouse to press the keyboard key.
It actually is possible in Flash 10, but only for a few keys. See this page:
Understanding the security changes in Flash Player 10
Flash Player 9 does not allow keyboard
input when displaying content in
full-screen mode. Flash Player 10
changes this, allowing for a limited
number of keys to be usable in
full-screen mode. These include Tab,
the Spacebar, and the (up, down, left,
right) arrow keys.
Another option is to just use the browser's built-in fullscreen capability. All major browsers offer it as far as I know (IE, Firefox, Chrome, etc). Usually it's under View->Fullscreen, hotkey F11. Depending on the browser it will either give you the entire screen, or maybe leave a small bar across the top/bottom. Then you simply need to make your flash application expand to fill the entire HTML page.
Patrick is right. Due to security risks, your going to have a tough time getting your goal met. Adobe AIR is your best solution and will be easy to achieve in your state.
Here is a great video to get your started from Lee Brimelow. http://theflashblog.com/?p=403 (Building AIR Applications in Flash CS3)
Since AIR applications are built right in Flash or Flex, all you will need to do is configure how your application compiles, and you have yourself a Adobe AIR application capable of utilizing the keyboard while running as a cross platform desktop application.
Ahh, AIR is not for browsers? Too bad. Seems like I won't be able to get everything I wish for :p I have functions for the most important things without the keyboard functions, but I would really like them all of course.
I'll look into Silverlight then and see if thats an option.
Thanks guys! :)
