How can I control headers uploaded through a FileReference object? - actionscript-3

I recently started using Flash Builder for the first time after developing C++ and C# for a long time.
I am using a FileReference object to upload a file to a server using its upload method. However, on the server-side, I need to receive a X-File-Name header. How can I control which headers are sent through the Flash object in Flex/ActionScript?
I couldn't find any resources about this anywhere. Is it possible?

I am afraid you cannot. The FileReference object is provided out—of—the—box and is not that much configurable.
But you can load the file, create your own sockets and reimplement the protocol with your needs (this is feasable if you don't need a lot of features).

How to save data with JSON in a Xamarin app?

Depending on your data an easy way could be to use Preferences from Xamarin.Essentials which allows you to store key/value pairs: link to description
Another option would be to save files with JSON as you mentioned already. You create a class which holds your data and then serialize/deserialze the objects to files and from files. For this you can use the Newtonsoft.Json which is a nuget package that you can install.
If you have a MyData class and an data object it would look like this:
Serialize:
File.WriteAllText("fileName", JsonConvert.SerializeObject(data));
Deserialze:
var myData = JsonConvert.DeserializeObject<MyData>(File.ReadAllText("fileName"));
Different platforms has their own file system. For example, iOS limits our access to the file system, which is called Application sandbox. To save or load files, you could learn some basic info first:

for Android, refer to File Storage and Access with Xamarin.Android
Xamarin forms provides several ways to use Xamarin forms local data storage. First is use File Handling just as Mario K mentioned. For Serializing JSON, you could refer to Serializing JSON.
Another is that you could use SQLite database engine which allows Xamarin.Forms applications to load and save data objects in shared code. More info, you could refer to Xamarin.Forms Local Databases.

How to store variables on local HTML file?

Recently I've found that I can use pure HTML, CSS and JS to build Android app (and iOS also maybe), by using PhoneGap. I guess it converts HTML pages to Android web views. So basically I'll have ~10 HTML files, calling each other, get data from Server (it's Java and Tomcat) via Ajax and JSONP.
And my problem is about storing user data with these static local HTML files.
As they are local files, I can't use Cookie. But somehow Session's still working, so with each HTML page, I can set an onload event that sends an Ajax request, then get data. But it's very inconvenient, I have to do that for the same data each time I switch to another HTML file. So, is there any solution I can load all data when the first HTML file is loaded, store data somewhere, then reuse these data in others HTML files ? Thank you so much for reading my question.

Upload ByteArray to server - With upload progress

Is it possible that I can upload a ByteArray and receive a ProgressEvent on the upload progress?
I have tried:
Using URLLoader, but then I realized that it only shows the progress for the download.
Using FileReference, but then I realized that FileReference.data is read only.
Is there any way I can do this?
The user records with their microphone, and the sound is then uploaded to the server. This is why it's a ByteArray and not a FileReference.
Did a bit of searching around and came on a couple other SO posts that seem to indicate it is not possible. If you're using AIR perhaps you could save the ByteArray to a file using FileStream then load that file into a File object and call upload() on it.
You can to this only via self programming.
make and uploader server side script java for ex. and send the progress percentage via socket
so flash sending file and receiving the progress data via socket.

How to use the dart:html library to write html files?

I want to make a program that prepares an HTML file. It would either be on the server side or just running in my local machine.
I think it would be nice to be able to use the dart:html library since it has a lot of methods for manipulating html (obviously). But it is thought to be used dynamically on the client side, and I want to use it like this: manipulate an html DOM tree with dart:html, and when its ready, write a static html file. For instance using query('body').innerHtml
The problem I'm running into is that I if start a project with the "console application" template, I am not able to make dart:html talk to an html file. And if I choose "web application", in which I am able to do this, I cannot load the dart:io library, maybe it has to do with it being tagged as [server] in the SDK?
Of course I could just do:
print(query('body').innerHtml);
and manually copying the output to a file, but I thought maybe there is a more elegant solution.

Eventually the parse tree API will be compatible with dart:html, so

MSXML uses wininet when loads a xml file from a \\share

We know we should not use MSXML from Classic ASP to load remote xml files, because the WinInet is not designed for server use.
Do you know if loading a xml file from \\server\sharefolder also loads wininet?
Should we use ServerXmlHTTP instead?

I can't guarantee that it doesn't, but I would be shocked if it did. WinINET, as its name implies, is used for connections using internet protocols, while \\server\sharefolder implies a SMB connection.
You can use MSXML DOM document to load xml in a server-safe way by turning on ServerHTTPRequest property. The downside is that the load method will have to perform in a sync way.
