PackageMaker installing the app file but not setting its custom icon - packagemaker

I have created an installer for my application bundle(.app) and the installer successfully installed the application in Applications folder but it is not setting the icon which i set previously before installation to the bundle. In Applications my application is seen with default .app icon. I tried to set the Icon file in plist file of the bundle, but no result. Anybody who tried this successfully please help.
Thank you

Thanks for all those looked into my question. After some tiring research, I found the solution. I am not sure whether it has any problem with other version of OS X. I am using Mac OS X 10.7.3 Lion. Here is the solutions worked for me.
Create an .icns icon. Apple bundle uses icns file as Icon file. You can easily create one using an icon converter. I used an app from http://www.img2icnsapp.com/
Right click the bundle and browse the folder of the .app and copy the .icns file to the Resources folder.
ie. Contents>>Resources
Edit Info.plist file and add a key for Icon File, if there is no Icon File key. Set the value to your icns file name. (eg:- test.icns)
Now create the package from PackageMaker and install the package, you can see your application installed with custom icon in /Applications

Atom packages not working even when enabled

I installed all Atom packages mentioned on this link.
atom-beautify
atom-ternjs
autoclose-html
emmet
csslint
pigments
language-ejs
atom-html-preview
Sublime-Style-Column-Selection
linter-eslint
I made an file index.html. But whenever I type something it doesn't show any suggestions. Also when I type html and hit tab or enter it doesn't show boilerplate code.
I tried disabling and then enabling, restarting Atom as well as Laptop but it didn't worked. I am working on Ubuntu 18.04.5 LTS.
How to resolve this ?
Try to create that new file with extension .html U must have not used the .html extension

How to install colortheme in NeoVim in Mac OS X?

I just installed NeoVim VimR 0.13.1 from https://github.com/qvacua/vimr/releases
for Mac OSX. I was able to set default options by creating a file at
~/.config/nvim/init.vim
Now I am having a hard time trying use a color theme. For example I am interested with OceanicNext theme from https://github.com/mhartington/oceanic-next
So I downloaded the zip file, unzipped it then it creates a folder called
oceanic-next-master
So I moved this folder to
~/.config/nvim/oceanic-next-master
Added necessary code to the init.vim file
" For Neovim 0.1.3 and 0.1.4
let $NVIM_TUI_ENABLE_TRUE_COLOR=1
" Or if you have Neovim >= 0.1.5
if (has("termguicolors"))
set termguicolors
endif
" Theme
syntax enable
colorscheme OceanicNext
But even restarting the VimR, nothing happens. So I tried renaming the folder name from
~/.config/nvim/oceanic-next-master
to
~/.config/nvim/OceanicNext
Still no luck. So tried to copy the actual OceanicNext.vim file to
~/.config/nvim/OceanicNext.vim
Still didn't work restarting it. So I tried running the command directly
colorscheme OceanicNext
But it give me the following error message
Cannot find color scheme 'OceanicNext'
I also tried install other color scheme from https://github.com/frankier/neovim-colors-solarized-truecolor-only but still wasn't able to make it work.
I also have MacVim installed and just copy and pasting the plugins into the ~/.vim worked, but looks like NeoVim is different? What am I doing wrong?
Thank you.
The nvim documentation on the colorscheme command :help colorscheme
:colo[rscheme] {name}
Load color scheme {name}. This searches 'runtimepath' for the file
"colors/{name}.vim". The first one that is found is loaded. Also
searches all plugins in 'packpath', first below "start" and then under
"opt".
You can put the color scheme file into ~/.config/nvim/colors f older. Where ~ is your user home directory.
Consider you have "nord.vim" colorscheme. The full path to it will be ~/.config/nvim/colors/nord.vim.
Then the :colorscheme nord command will be able to load the theme.
By the way, vim-plug plugin is great for managing vim and neovim plugins and colorschemes. It will install/update/delete plugins including colorschemes for you. Give it a try.
Had to install vim-plug manager from https://github.com/junegunn/vim-plug
by placing the plug.vim file to
~/.config/nvim/autoload
to install the plugins.

Add UnityEngine.dll to Mono projects on a Mac

When building Mono DLLs for use in Unity we want to reference the UnityEngine.dll. Several tutorials talk through how to do this. For example here are the instructions from the Unity manual
Next, you should add references to the Unity DLLs. In MonoDevelop, you
should open the contextual menu For References in the Solution Browser and
choose Edit References. Then, choose the option .Net Assembly tab > File
System > select file. [...]
At this stage, you will have the option to select the required DLL file. >On Mac OSX, the file can be found at
Applications/Unity.app/Contents/Frameworks/Managed/UnityEngine.dll
But the Mac finder will not step into Unity.app so I cannot navigate into that folder to choose UnityEngine.dll. I can navigate there in the terminal, but not in the 'select file' finder. How do I add UnityEngine.dll as a reference in a Mono project on a Mac?
Seems like MonoDevelop does not set the file browser to include .app and thus does not present Show Package Contents in the right-click context menu.
Use CMD-Shift-G to popup the Go to the folder: entry, enter /Applications/Unity.app/Contents/Frameworks/Managed and select Go

Texture Packer won't run

I downloaded texture packer here https://code.google.com/p/libgdx-texturepacker-gui/downloads/detail?name=gdx-texturepacker-3.2.0.zip&can=2&q=
When I run the .jar file it just shuts down before even displaying the gui. Is anyone experiencing a similar problem? I am running OSX El Capitan.
The project is quite old so you can try it's successor: gdx-texture-packer-gui.
[The] project is a successor of Aurelien Ribon's project with whole new
GUI and features.
You can download the tool here:
https://github.com/crashinvaders/gdx-texture-packer-gui/releases
Do you have the Java runtime environment installed on your computer or just the Java development kit? I don't use the texture packer, but I had a similar problem with the Android SDK manager (it shut down before displaying the GUI) on a new computer where I had only installed the Java JDK. After installing the JRE then it worked fine.
Try this: Create a txt file and change its extension to ".bat". Right click to file and select modify. Copy this into file:
"java -jar "C:\Users\fat2019\Desktop\gdx-texturepacker-3.2.0\gdx-texturepacker.jar" Change path to your own where gdx-texturepacker.jar file is. Then save and close. Double click file.
edit: this is for windows.
I have the same problem. Using Windows 7 I have to do this:
Go to your java directory and copy your java path
C:\Program Files\Java\jdk1.8.0_40\bin
Right click on my computer,
Click properties
Go to "Advanced system settings" click ,
Click on Environment variables.
Go to System variables section, and you will find an entry called path.
Double click on path
Add a semicolon (;) to the end of that line
After the semicolon paste your path previously copied: C:\Program Files\Java\jdk1.8.0_40\bin
Apply
It must be enough. Your file should run at this point.
Double click it and go to the end, put a semicolon and paste your path, apply and ok. It should run now.
For Mac I downloaded the free version of https://www.codeandweb.com/texturepacker/download
This saves as .txt rather than .atlas for some reason.
After adding the animation I got errors in batch.draw ... casting to TextureRegion fixed that.
As always, I have no idea if this will cause problems later but there you go. Looks good so far. :)

Where is a localSharedObject file stored on a Mac

I'm working with localSharedObjects and want to inspect the files that are created on the user's machine. According the the documentation, localSharedObject files are stored on a Mac in the following location: /Users/username/Library/Preferences/Macromedia/Flash Player/#SharedObjects/web_domain/path_to_application/application_name/object_name.sol
When I try to find the file, I cannot even get to: /Users/username/Library
as the Library file does not exist in that location. Also, I've been searching for files with a .sol extension, but without success.
My question: Where can I find loaclSharedObject files on a Mac running 10.7.5?
There is a Library folder that Mac OS X 10.7 hides. Go to Finder, hold down the Option key and select the Go menu. The Library folder will then appear and you can select it. If you wish to have permanent access to it, you can drag it into the Finder sidebar, or there's a Terminal command to get it to show permanently:
chflags nohidden ~/Library
