I want to connect Magento Database with my other website for login purposes. So that users do not need to register again.
For other websites I don't have Magento layer. Just raw PHP mysql websites.
I'm wondering what would be best way create a central database and how can I retrieve user information(username and password only.) from Magento Database.
I am thinking to execute raw php mysql queries but for that I need to open ports on my servers to connect to other servers because all websites are on different servers.
What would be the best approach.
In order to achieve SSO (Single sign on) the best thing to do would be to migrate all your users to Magento.
The Magento files should be accessible on the external website too (either if they are on the same server or via a mount.) You can then use something like the code below:

I am developing a mobile application using Ionic Framework for my E-commerce website developed using Woocommerce.
I need to use a single database for the users, so that the registered users can access their profiles and non-registered users can register to the website / app simultaneously with the same credentials.
I found this awesome plugin which claims to provide with REST User data to help login/register but I am unable to use this as I am already using Reactor Core and WP-API to access my products data and WordPress wouldn't allow me to use all these plugins simultaneously.
Well WordPress it self has a communication protocol which is XML-RPC you can read more on it here, However it does not have authentication method builtin.

We have a system where we have a Master / Multiple Slaves .
Currently everything happens on the Master and the slaves are just here for backup .
We use Codeigniter as a development platform .
Now we decided to user the slaves for the Reads and the Master for the Write queries .
I have been told that this is not doable without modifying the source code because proxy can't know the type of the query .
Any idea how to proceed with this without causing too much damages for a perfectly working system ...

something i was also looking, few month back i did something like this but i added 3 web server with master slave mysql servers, first web server enabled with mod_proxy to redirect request to read and write server all request will come to this server, if post,put or delete request come to server it will go to write server, all get or normal request will go to read server

My CodeIgniter app on Google App Engine is not able to connect to my database on Google Cloud SQL. I tried so many things.
My site loads when I leave database username, password & database name empty but, pages that have database calls show an error. It says that no database was selected.
I noticed that my database was not created and created a new database and a user with all privileges. I entered this details in my app and now, it doesn't even connect to the database server. No pages serve.
When I remove only the username & password fields in database.php, it connects to the database server but, doesn't connect to the database.
I checked the mysql database for users and my user has all privileges. I checked all spellings and it is correct. The app is working locally. HOW I CAN FIX THIS? i just can't get it to connect.
Out of the box CodeIgniter will not connect to a Google Cloud SQL instance, modifications to the CI database driver files are required, this is because CI expects that it’s choices are either to connect to localhost or to a remote tcpip host, the developers never anticipated that anybody would want to connect directly to a socket.
I chose to use the Mysqli driver instead of Mysql for performance reasons and here is how I did it:
Step 1) Edit the codeigniter/system/database/drivers/mysqli/mysqli_driver.php file and replace the db_connect function with the following code:

Have you authorized your appengine app for access to the Cloud SQL instance? Go to the access control panel on the console for the instance (at https://cloud.google.com/console#/project/{project name}/sql/instances/{instance name}/access-control). Look for authorized app engine applications.
Otherwise, if you're connecting to the instance successfully, you'll have to choose the database from your code or configuration (depending on the app). For example, from the "running wordpress" guide (https://developers.google.com/appengine/articles/wordpress) you have to define DB_NAME. If you're handling the connections in your own code you'll need to use mysql_select_db.
From skimming the codeigniter docs, it looks like you need something like:

I have created a Jar that I want to fill with fireflies, depending on how many users are online.
I did a little digging and I found how to create a XMLSocket. It worked but I didn't know how to get the information how many people are online and also it required a CMD window to run all the time.
The second way I found was trough a PHP,MYSQL witch I have runing with my Apache server, but the tutorials and scripts I found did not work for me, for example. I did not create the required tables.
My question is what is the simplest way to find the current count of users online on your page/flash file? Is there a quick way to do it inside flash and not get involved with MYSQL or PHP?
No, there is not a simple way to only do it in Flash without using any external part (PHP, MySQL, Java, and more...). Remember that Flash is run locally, and thus needs to interact with PHP or similar to interact with the server to tell the server about the activity by the user and to ask the server about other users activities (number of users online).
If you only want to display the users online, I recommend the way that is shown in the example you posted. Simply update the database when activity has been seen by a user and count the user as offline when no activity has been seen for x minutes. There's no need to involve XMLSockets for this unless you want the users to interact with each other in any way.
If you want more than just displaying the users online, I recommend using XMLSockets in ActionScript and looking into PHP Sockets.
i dont think so, the flash player must need a way to "check" on the server the number of users who are online. the simplest would be to send a URLRequest (i hope i got the class name right) to a server script, which could be either a php or an aspx (or any server technology) script / page.
that server script should return the number of users the site has.
e.g.

Yes, you can do it without a database (MYSQL) and PHP; BUT you will still need a (Media) Server.
I wouldn't suggest the following if your "only" purpose is to count the connecting clients, but if you have the reasons and have access to a Flash Media Server, you can try the following:
On Server Side:
Create an application (folder) on FMS, create the main.asc file inside that folder.
Inside the main.asc; create a (remote) SharedObject (server-side) (e.g.: users_so)
Watch for connecting clients on application.onConnect event. Add each connecting client to that SharedObject inside this handler.
Also watch for disconnecting clients on application.onDisconnect event. Remove each disconnecting client from the SharedObject inside this handler.
On Client Side:
Connect each Flash client to FMS (with your new app-folder path in the URI) when the application loads in the browser.
Watch for the NetStatusEvent.NET_STATUS event and "NetConnection.Connect.Success" code. When connected; create a SharedObject (client-side) and get the remote from the server.
Add the SyncEvent.SYNC event listener to the SharedObject. This will sync with each Flash client when a user connects or disconnects from the server.
Inside the sync event handler, get and count the users from the event response.
Display the count on your Flash client.

I've a MySql database hosted in my web site, with a table named UsrLic
Where any one wants to buy my software must register and enter his/her Generated Machine Key (+ username, email ...etc).
So my question is:
I want to automate this process from my software, how this Process will be?
Should I connect and update my database directly from my software ( and this means I must save all my database connection parameters in it * my database username , password , server * and then use ADO or MyDac to connect to this database ? and if yes how secure is this process ?

I recommend creating an API on your web site in PHP and calling the API from Delphi.
That way, the database is only available to your web server and not to the client application, ever. In fact, you should run your database on localhost or with a private IP so that only machines on the same physical network can reach it.
I have implemented this and am implementing it again as we speak.
PHP
Create a new file named register_config.php. In this file, setup your MySQL connection information.
Create a file named register.php. In this file, put your registration functions. From this file, include 'register_config.php'. You will pass parameters to the functions you create here, and they will do the reading and writing to your database.
Create a file named register_api.php. From this file, include 'register.php'. Here, you will process POST or GET variables that are sent from your client application, call functions in register.php, and return results back to the client, all via HTTP.
You will have to research connecting to and querying a MySQL database. The W3Schools tutorials will have you doing this very quickly.
For example:
Your Delphi program calls https://mysite/register_api.php with Post() and sends the following values:

Use Indy's TIdHTTP component and its Post() or Get() method to post data to register_api.php on the website.
You will get the response back in text from your API.
Keep it simple.
Security
All validation should be done on the server (API). The server must be the gatekeeper.
Sanitize all input to the API from the user (the client) before you call any functions, especially queries.
If you are using shared web hosting, make sure that register.php and register_config.php are not world readable.
If you are passing sensitive information, and it sounds like you are, you should call the registration API function from Delphi over HTTPS. HTTPS provides end to end protection so that nobody can sniff the data being sent off the wire.
Simply hookup a TIdSSLIOHandlerSocketOpenSSL component to your TIdHTTP component, and you're good to go, minus any certificate verification.
Use the SSL component's OnVerifyPeer event to write your own certificate verification method. This is important. If you don't verify the server side certificate, other sites can impersonate you with DNS poisoning and collect the data from your users instead of you. Though this is important, don't let this hold you up since it requires a bit more understanding. Add this in a future version.
Why don't you use e.g. share*it? They also handle the buying process (i don't see how you would do this for yourself..) and let you create a reg key through a delphi app.
