The problem is that google chrome shows some weird vertical and horizontal lines in my website.
I think is a render problem but I'm not sure.
Google chrome version is 18.0.1025.168
You can visit the website here: http://www.plastic-data.com/hotel/
And here, the screenshoot:
And i have checked for extensions, my google chrome doesn't have any.
Mac with Chrome version 89.0.4389.90. The method #cybersholt and #Alex_J provided solved it for me (though the option is slightly different for Mac users):
Type chrome://flags in URL bar
Go to GPU rasterization (currently default).
Set to Disabled
This worked for me..!
1) Type chrome://flags in URL bar
2) Click on "Reset all to default" at the top near to "search flags".
I Hope the following steps work for you!
Follow the steps:-
1) Type chrome://flags in URL bar
2) Locate the following entry "Composited render layer borders"
3) Make sure it is set to "Enable"
4) Restart your browser and then check!!
The problem is not on the browser, neither on your website, I tested here on my installation of Google Chrome 18.0.1025.168, and no problems found as you can see on the image below:
Note:
I had that problem in the past, and was a graphic driver problem.
I believe that it is a graphic driver problem on the computer you are using!
I also had the same problem with 45° horizontal white dashed lines repeating on any website in chrome with a solid color background. It was happening on multiple computers with only using the chrome browser. #cybersholt solution fixed the problem.
1) Type chrome://flags in URL bar
2) Go to GPU rasterization MSAA sample count (which should be set to default).
3) Set to 0
had the same problem. had to Disable this:
1) Type chrome://flags in URL bar
2) Locate the following entry "Composited render layer borders".
BiG thanks for the tip!
Just ran into this issue, although I had multicolored horizontal lines instead of vertical lines like this:
One of the comments described in this post by #Cat-Friend finally fixed the issue after much searching.
To fix this issue:
Open the Settings page in Chrome (chrome://settings)
Search for hardware acceleration
Disable Hardware Acceleration

I recently encountered a strange behavior in my Google Chrome browser.
Images appear pixelated and broken, but they appear on screenshots and get scrolled so it must be the browser and not my laptop. For example, google search:
Search icons get something like...distorted? Has anyone encountered that and maybe knows how to fix this?
Here's a work around: go to chrome://flags and disable GPU Rasterization.
You can use this link: chrome://flags/#enable-gpu-rasterization to get there.
Thanks to https://piunikaweb.com/2022/02/24/google-chrome-images-distorted-pixelated-after-latest-update-for-some/ for the tip
Same here. Not only icons but some large images as well
Ctrl+refresh seem to solve it

Turning off [GPU rasterization] and [hardware acceleration] is worked for me.
(Windows 10 + Chrome v101.x)
Turning off GPU rasterization
Go to chrome://flags
Select 'Disabled' right side of 'GPU rasterization'.
Restart browser.
Turning off hardware acceleration
Go to chrome://settings/system
Move switch off 'Use hardware acceleration when available'.
Restart browser.
I recognized this Bug on several Pages occurring in Chromium related browsers. I opened up a Chromium Issue, where the project members could not reproduce the problem - I am trying to figure out why this is happening (since the Problem occurs on Pages as like google.com, amazon.com, and so on, on several Mac-OS devices, which have nothing else in common) - we tried it on a clean Chrome installation, where The Problem is also occurring. To me it seems to be a bug - now I'd like to know if other people are also not able to reproduce. If you can reproduce (to reproduce read the following lines below) and/or find something new/interesting about the problem consider supporting the Ticket/Chromium Issue.
Chrome Version
91.0.4472.101 (Offizieller Build) (x86_64)
URLs tested
https://www.google.de/
https://www.microsoft.com/de-de
https://www.amazon.de/
Other browsers tested
Safari: hasn't the problem
Firefox: hasn't the problem
Edge: has the same issue (also Chromium based)
Chrome Canary: has the same issue (also Chromium based)
How to reproduce the problem?
Refresh Page (Command+Shift+R) and Scroll upwards while page is loading or in parallel (you have to be quick to reproduce).
What is the expected result?
Expectedly the Page should not over-scroll and stop at the pages top/end instead the page can be scrolled infinite above the pages top, same issue appears by scrolling down, where scrolling should stop at the bottom of the page.
What happens instead?
Browser keeps scrolling above the pages top/bottom infinitively. Once triggered the infinite scrolling wont disappear, even after refreshing the page - the only way to change the behavior is to copy the url and paste it within a new tab.
Small update: it seems like the problem appears when using a logitech mx master mouse (if you run into the problem when not using this specific model, let the chrome people know) - it looks like it can be solved by following steps:
Open a terminal window.
Type in the following command then hit enter:
defaults write -g NSScrollViewRubberbanding -bool false
Source: https://www.computerworld.com/article/2726533/turn-off-elastic-scrolling-in-os-x.html
Hopefully they'll fix the problem in chrome itself, until then this should solve the problem.
Update: See Irgend Son Hansel answer
I don't think there's an official fix currently, but what I do when this bug comes up is to simply click the scroll bar. It usually fixes it for a while before it comes back up again.
I am not entirely sure what the OP is asking but I assume they are looking for a fix or a workaround for this?
I occasionally experience the same on my MacOS machine. For me, refreshing page does not work. What I do is the following:
copy url of the current page
open new tab and navigate to the same url
close old tab
When I open Developer tools and turn on device mode, and click any drop down on the page chrome renders options with minimum width and rest of the area as black.
I dont know what is causing this error. I tried to update my graphics card driver, but problem still exists.
After some googling, got to know that this is an issue in Chrome browser itself. Refer the following link for more info - https://bugs.chromium.org/p/chromium/issues/detail?id=553274&q=status%3Aunconfirmed&sort=-id&colspec=ID%20Pri%20M%20Iteration%20ReleaseBlock%20Cr%20Status%20Owner%20Summary%20OS%20Modified&num=1000
Since the last update of Google Chrome, a screen ruler shows up when inspecting an element. Does anyone know how to disable this ruler?
This is an old question, but now you can enable or disable now in Chrome Developer Tools -> Settings -> Show Rulers (you can also access the settings just pressing F1).
In Chrome 38, there is a "Toggle Device Mode" button to the left of menu items in developer tools. Clicking on it will toggle display of ruler and device emulation list.
Go to "Settings" -> "General" tab.
In the end of page, click on button "Restore defaults and reload".
=)
It's not possible for the moment.
You need to wait Chrome 25 or use Canari.

This is now known as Device Mode. It allows you to select different device screen sizes as well as emulate different Network Speeds.
You can enable/disable it by clicking the Phone Icon on your console.
Upgrading to the latest dev release fixed this for me:
http://www.google.com/chrome/intl/en/eula_dev.html?dl=mac
This started happening to me out of the blue. I use Chrome inspect element for developing, on a personal computer that no one else uses.
This morning, I had the whole rulers-and-menus thing appear as if out of nowhere.
The above suggestions did nothing. When I got to the configuration check-box for rulers, I discovered it was turned off.
I was able to get the old look back by resetting the defaults in the same config menu which held the rulers check-box. Hope that helps anyone stuck like I was.
When you have the unspect editor opened, Just go to settings by clicking the icon (top right on the unspector) there you will find a big button saying restore defaults and reload . That worked for me . Good luck
I'm using Chrome Canary (Version 45.0.2451.0 canary), and the presence of the rulers appears to be tied to whether Emulation is enabled. Restoring defaults (as suggested above) turns it off, or you can just go to the drawer at the bottom and do it.
One of my customers have trouble viewing some of the pages on our website. Specifically it is the vertical scrollbar, that disappears on some pages.
She is using Google Chrome, and as the following screenshots will show, Chrome also has a strange toolbar.
On this first image, there are no problem with scrolling
http://i45.tinypic.com/3444bqe.png
On the next, the scrollbar has disappeared although there is plenty of content on the page.

I have tried to reproduce the error on my own machine with the same Chrome version, but it was not possible. So I suspect the strange toolbar to be the culprit.
Does anybody know which extension gives this bar?
Turning the scrollbar always on did the trick for me:
body {
overflow-y: scroll;
}
I fixed my missing scroll bar issue by turning off "Use hardware acceleration when available" It's in chrome://settings/system
Disabling extensions solved my problem, thanks! Here's an additional suggestion.
To "disable" your extensions quickly and temporarily, just open a new Incognito window in Chrome.
Menu -> "New incognito window"
OR
Ctrl + Shift + N
Cheers!
Josh
I did the same thing that #Carey Pico did and it workeddisabling extensions. I first ran into this missing right scroll bar problem when opening Yahoo news pages today. I disabled all extensions (access tools --> extensions) and got back my right scroll bar where it should be.
I ran into this situation where my "yahoo finance" page lost its scroll bar (after reinstalling Chrome). I only had one remaining extension left running (one I trusted). It was AVG Secure Search (I used AVG antivirus). I disabled it and the scroll bar appeared the next time I opened Yahoo Finance. Interestingly, I had left the old, missing scroll bar page open. It was unaffected.
So, AVG Secure Search extension interferes with yahoo products.
I verified what extensions I had running, and the one that caused issues was my Avira Safebrowsing extension - disabled the extension and all good.
For me the source of the problem was Ghostery extension. After installing "Ghostery fixer" extension scrollbar reappeared.
