LDAP server configuration: olcIdleTimeout and olcLogFile - configuration

Ive setup a LDAP server. Ive set the olcIdleTimeout property to 5 (seconds) for the purpose of testing and the olcLogFile to /var/log/slapd.log. Then I restarted the slapd service. So the entries look like this:
olcIdleTimeout: 5
olcLogFile: /var/log/slapd.log
Is there a reason this changes arent aplied? The log file is empty (i created it manually, because I have read somewhere that it must be created before you write to it) and nothing happens on the page after 5 seconds.

The olcXXX properties are for online configuration. So you didn't need to restart slapd at all. It is sounding as though you put online configuration directives into slapd.conf. They won't work in there. Remove the 'olc' part.

olcLogFile is only used on Windows because it lacks syslog.

OMA firmware update using Leshan server: Where to save the files?

I'm quite new to the world of the IOT (protocols). I want to update some devices remotely (they will be installed about 8000km away from my working place). I have found out that LWM2M would fit to my scope.
Because the internet connection there is not stable and the bandwidth is low, I have decided to also install a Raspberry Pi to collect the data of the sensors and to install a Leshan server to trigger the updates.
I have tested the devices and I can register them to the Leshan server on the Pi, read some data, and reboot the devices. The problem is, I don't know where to save my binary file for the update, so that the device can download them.
I tried following steps:
Save the file on [leshan-dir]/update.bin.
Write the "Package URI": coap://[raspi-IP]:5683/update.bin
After that, the backgroud color of the button "Write" changes to green.
Execute the update
The response of the server is 404 [Not Found].
I have looked for any API to find out where I can save the .bin file, but without success. And because nobody seems to have had a similar error, I start thinking I have missed some points.
Where do I have to save the files on the Raspbery Pi, so that I can perform an update?
I found a solution for the problem I exposed above.
I use from the californium-project the demo-app cf-simplefile-server (Ref. https://github.com/eclipse/californium/tree/2.0.x/demo-apps/cf-simplefile-server)
Note: You have to checkout to the git-branch 2.0.x to use it.
To run the leshan server and the file-server on the same machine I had to change the port of one of the server using the file Californium.properties.
I decide to change the ones of the file-server to 5685 and 5686
When both server runs I can insert in Package URI something like:
coap://[[ip_of_the_pi]]:5685/data/[[name_of_the_firmware_file]]
Probably there are better solution for it, but for a coap/lwm2m beginner like it works very well.
Note: If you have bigger file to transfer you can also change the property MAX_RESOURCE_BODY_SIZE

Unable to resolve valid table in PhpStorm

I'm getting unable to resolve table errors appear in php files containing SQL querying valid tables.
If I Ctrl + Enter over the query, then I get expected results in the DB console, and if I expand the database in the DB explorer tab then I can see the tables.
It's not affecting code execution, but it's annoying because it catches my eye when writing code, and it masks real SQL errors.
I've tried refreshing the database connection, and I've verified that the php tab is connecting to the correct database.
In 2017.2 I had to go to
Settings > Languages & Frameworks > SQL Resolution Scopes
and add my project and database link in there to get it right again.
Try re-creating DB connection from scratch (delete existing one and create it again).
Thinking of possible reasons ... I can think of this scenario:
working with project in current stable version (currently 2016.1.x);
trying EAP build for next version (2016.2 at this moment) on this project and make some DB-related changes there (even simple syncing DB);
going back to stable version (2016.1.x) .. and because new version uses newer file format/versioning for DB-related data (cached DB structure etc) IDE may start ignoring "unknown/newer" format for such data and instead of throwing appropriate warning it just "silently" throwing "unresolved table" message.
No other ideas.
I was getting what OP was getting, and the problem was my DB Server was MariaDB and i had MySQL selected as the SQL Dialect.
See File > Settings: Languages & Frameworks > SQL Dialects.
Faulty error pollution DRIVES ME NUTS TOO!
If I start having SQL resolution issues, I will check my resolution scopes (settings -> Languages & Frameworks -> SQL Resolution Scopes).
Generally I have the most issues when my project mapping is set to 'All Data Sources' by default.
The following steps always fixes it for me:
Click the Project Mapping Dropdown
Uncheck the global 'All Data Sources' setting (required to make other selection available)
Click the drop down arrow for your Database connection
Check 'All Schemas' (Or Specific Tables)
Click OK to close the settings window
Your false resolution errors should disappear after the next parse cycle.
You aren't limited to applying the above steps to just one DB connection, you can do it for all connections in your project.
Sometimes adding a custom resolution scope will work as well, but it is hit or miss for me.
Click the plus sign (top right)
Select the file you are working on and hit 'OK'
Select the 'Resolution Scope' column
Deselect 'all data sources'
Select the specific DB resources you want
Reconnecting to the DB never works for me.
Specifying the table works well... but it can become very cumbersome as the project grows.
I have also run into an additional situation where PHPStorm would only resolve some of my queries, no matter what scope resolution settings I used. However, after I attached a console to my file, they resolved just fine.
(Search for 'Attach Console' in Help | Find Action. You can also add it to a 'Quick List' or Keymap it.)
Although this answer is specifically for phpstorm, I had this same issue in IntelliJ and none of the above fixes worked for me. I had my scope added, everything was active. I could query the database in the console window perfectly fine, and I was totally stumped.
Eventually, I noticed some text in the database panel that said 0 of 4 in tiny text. It looked like this:
Upon clicking on the 0 of 4 text, I discovered there were no schemas added to the connection, even though a default database was set upon making the connection originally. Going to that page allows you to add schemas. Be sure to either select "All schemas", "Current schema", or the specific database that you want to use with your connection.
Changed dialect to MariaDB on global and project level.

To dismiss this error in PHPStorm versions before 2017 which have no SQL Resolution Scopes option:
Go to File
Go to Settings...
Go to Editor and then Inspections
In SQL chapter uncheck Unresolved reference
Click Apply and then OK
Adding database name before the table name worked in my case.
For instance, instead of writing SELECT * FROM Client, put SELECT * FROM database.Client.
I will add another answer, because for me, it was a completely different (embarrassing) cause:
I somehow forgot to add the database name in the data sources general settings (where you also set the host, user and password).
In my case, I have clicked the right button in the SQLScript and change the Dialect to "Generic SQL". It worked for me.
I solved this problem as follows:
CTRL + SHIFT + F10
new query console
Write a selection query to the database, for example:
SELECT * FROM user WHERE user_email='$email' AND user_password='$password'
Enter your code page and click on the table name in the query
ALT + ENTER
run query in console
Select the console you created
First, you need to check the Schemas tab, and make sure you've added the database.
If the unable to resolve table error stills appears, there're two options to fix this:
1.You can edit the properties of the Data Source and add the name of Database, then you can see that select * from table works well.
2.On the other hand, you can also use sql like this select * from database.table. It works for me.
By the way, in many situations, autocomplete can be very useful.

adding your current file into path and modify its SQL Dialect as a server you are using.
NOTICE!!!!! mine is MySQL but it is exactly MySQL causing problems, after switching into [generic SQL] PROBLEM SOLVED!!!

SignTool error while packaging Windows Store app

During packaging the Windows Store application, I get an unspecified error [APPX1204]:

Yesterday packaging proceeded successfully. Today I added aditional logic to my app and changed some data in manifest. Since then I'm reciving presented error. I tried to regenerate Certificate in Packaging menu, delete Store/Temporary Keys (then regenerate), ... much more but nothing helps.
Now I have no idea how to handle it. Furthermore packaging a new project (as it is provided by vs2012) results in the same error.
Have you got any suggestions how to solve it.
If it helps anyone else, I was trying to make the build on a network share (virtualizing windows). Creating it on the Windows partition solved the issue.
I was developing on a Virtual Machine in VirtualBox and tryed to publish to the shared folder.
Change the output folder to a local folder on the virtual maschine solved it.
Granted this is older - see if you can try it with a different live id
You could also try to generate a new app, and diff the manifests between the apps.

you may want to sign out, use IE 'in safe private browsing' and create a new one.
Also ensure that IE is set in "Browsing History->Settings" to get a new version of the page every time.
Login with the new one and give it a try.
I'm not sure if this error is related here or not, but it's a starting point based on the prior feedback on the above post.

Not able to make calls to mod_roster_odbc functions

I tried to use my own custom roster by integrating mod_roster_odbc. I changed the config file too (commented out mod_roster and make a new entry for mod_roster_odbc). After running with this setup, mod_roster_odbc module is getting started ( I put some logs to in start function, those I can see). But none of other function is not getting called as I alter presence or logged out/logged in.
Please help to identify where I am making the mistake.
I think I know the answer to this. many websites tell you to use mod_roster_odbc.erl to create your own rostering. I believe thats your problem. Many of the functions are merged into mod_roster.erl file itself. I dont think this is mentioned anywhere.
So what you need to do is in ejabberd.cfg enable mod_roster_odbc but dont remove the mod_roster.erl file with the odbc file. This file will take care.
Finally you need to create a rosterusers table (or something like it) so that ejabber can query for friend list. After these changes, just restart ejabber server and you should be good to go. hope this helps.

MODX: where are new_folder_permissions and new_file_permissions?

Those are asked during the installation, but are not anywhere in config files\tables to change afterwards

Seems kinda weird to me to do that... I am still in need to change them, though.
It appears that these should be in your MODX System Settings although I wasn't able to locate them in any of my own MODX installs (all Revo 2.1+). There's a chance they might be redundant or are for some reason not being properly created during installation (in which case it might be an installer bug).
You might be able to override them by adding those settings, like so:
Key: new_folder_permissions
Value: 0755
Do that and then try creating a new folder using the File Manager. Let us know if the correct permissions are then being used. If so I'll look at opening up a bug report for the installer.
They are not in System Settings, as they default to the PHP umask values, as they should. If you want to override them, you can do so by adding the settings "new_file_permissions" or "new_folder_permissions" to your System Settings.

they appear to be hard coded in that file.
