Please let me know how can i avoid a disabled background while displaying an alert message in flex. I want to be able input ie click or key stroke while the alert box is being displayed? Is it possible? how?
Thanks in advance
When calling Alert.show, add the NONMODAL flag to the flags parameter. So something like this:
Alert.show('Alert Text', 'Alert Title', Alert.YES|Alert.NO|Alert.NONMODAL);
Strange, but it should work.

I am trying to make a currency converter. When I type in a number in the input box and then press one off the buttons nothing happens. Does anyone know why?
When checking if a button is clicked in Javascript, it uses a function callback to do so. So, where you have:
if (KnappBL.onclick) {...}
Javascript is looking for:
KnappBL.onclick = function() {...}
Then, inside of the function callback, you can execute your code to show that the currency has changed.
EDIT: You can find more information about the onClick callback on Mozilla's website here.
The thing that stands out the most at a glance would be the absence of a function in your javascript. Try adding something along the lines of the code below (fyi I have not tested this so you may need to tweak it to fit your application). :) hope this leads you in the right direction.
function convert(amount, convertfrom, convertTo) {
if ***********************
else if ************************
else if ************************
}
I want dynamically add text-box in html page when user is press a button. and after that i want to get the respective field value or all field value.
I tried doing ng-repeat but it will not work. can anyone tell me how i will achieve this.
I would indeed use ng-repeat, and just push a new object onto the array. Maybe something like this?
<button ng-click="textFields.push("")">Add</button>
<textarea ng-repeat="val in textFields" ng-model="val"></textarea>
Well there are a few things you could try. One of them is loading a hidden div when clicked on the button. The hidden div contains the text box.
Like this :
$(document).ready(function(){
$("#hiddendiv").hide();
$("#button").click(function(){
$("#zmedia").show();
}};
And in your html form you just add a div that contains a textbox and the id of the dive should be "hiddendiv". The downside is that once the hidden div is loaded, it cant be removed. There are other scripts that are a lot more sophisticated, check these links out:

How to make correct the input tag with image type in Kohana2? I need to make a graphical submit button in my form. Thx.
It's not difficult, have you read the docs? http://docs.kohanaphp.com/helpers/form#input
I'd like to create a link that when it is clicked it will open up a some sort of dialog with some text a user can copy.
I was going to use jquery ui dialog for this but I'm wondering if there is something else I should consider?
Ideally I'd like to have that text highlighted so it is ready to copy. Don't think I can do this with jquery dialog?
Any guidance would be appreciated.
Try this :
HTML :
<div id="dialog">
<textarea id="textbox">some text to copy and paste</textarea>
</div>
JavaScript:
$('#dialog').dialog();
$('#textbox').focus().select();
This opens a dialog and then selects all of the text within the textarea. Because the focus function is used you can Ctrl+C straight off as the text is already in focus and selected.
Working demo : http://jsfiddle.net/eZbXD/
Instead of opening a dialog, you can show a textbox in which the link is selected and ready to copy. I have done something like that before. Look at this fiddle. You can remove unnecessary codes and give some style according to your need.
I'm having a ton of problems with every version of IE, one of which is that IE7 won't register input in this text input field.
http://www.flightm8.com/redesign
I'm a bit nervous about posting the link since the site looks a mess and doesn't function properly in any version of IE at the moment, and it is still quite a way off being ready for public consumption. But if anyone can shed any light on this particular problem I'd very much appreciate it.
So the question is: What is causing this problem in IE7?
Update: I've also added an additional textfield at the bottom of the page to try and rule out any CSS wierdness that might be causing the problem.
<form method="post" action="nowhere.php">
<input type='text' name='test' value='testing' />
</form>
And I still can't enter any text, or select the text that is in there. I'm wondering now if it's a problem caused by running a standalone version of IE7 and IE6.
thanks

the function causing problem is this one :
function modalAlert
the call that need to be debugged is this one :
modalAlert("NO SELECTIONS");
in
function findRoutes
the line that bug is :
$("#dialog").css("top", dTop);
first, you should avoid iframes when you can, why don't you do :
var message = $('<div></div>').load('/modal/"+modalpage);
instead of crappy code like this :
var iframe = "<iframe id='modal_frame' width='533' height='292' src='/modal/"+modalpage+"' >You didn't give me any information</iframe>"
If you don't need iframes, don't use them !
$('body').append(message);
I have IE7 on win xp (native), I was able to enter text but after a freeze (when you add all those markers), then when entering text and clicking on "find routes", there's a bug that i just explained to you ...
I would imagine it is because the input box doesn't have a 'name' field, which is used when posting form data.
