I'm trying to use the OSB 11g to stream large data to .NET WCF.
I use .NET client and server to check this feature.
I created a proxy which make a service callout to the WCF on the .NET server
but when tracing the streaming i find that the OSB buffers all the stream coming from the client into memory and then send it to the .NET WCF.
I guess i configured the proxy correctly with content streaming feature.
by the way i'm running the OSB over linux Red Hat 5.5.
Can any one please share is expirience working with WCF??

Most of the times these terms Web Server and Application server are used interchangeably.
Following are some of the key differences in features of Web Server and Application Server:
Web Server is designed to serve HTTP Content. App Server can also serve HTTP Content but is not limited to just HTTP. It can be provided other protocol support such as RMI/RPC
Web Server is mostly designed to serve static content, though most Web Servers have plugins to support scripting languages like Perl, PHP, ASP, JSP etc. through which these servers can generate dynamic HTTP content.
Most of the application servers have Web Server as integral part of them, that means App Server can do whatever Web Server is capable of. Additionally App Server have components and features to support Application level services such as Connection Pooling, Object Pooling, Transaction Support, Messaging services etc.
As web servers are well suited for static content and app servers for dynamic content, most of the production environments have web server acting as reverse proxy to app server. That means while servicing a page request, static contents (such as images/Static HTML) are served by web server that interprets the request. Using some kind of filtering technique (mostly extension of requested resource) web server identifies dynamic content request and transparently forwards to app server
Example of such configuration is Apache Tomcat HTTP Server and Oracle (formerly BEA) WebLogic Server. Apache Tomcat HTTP Server is Web Server and Oracle WebLogic is Application Server.
In some cases the servers are tightly integrated such as IIS and .NET Runtime. IIS is web server. When equipped with .NET runtime environment, IIS is capable of providing application services.

Can I deploy Mule on any of the application server. If so how do we deploy the Mule examples.
I have configured my eclipse to run JBoss and Mule Flows dont get deployed in the JBOss server. The syncronisation gives error(null pointer).
But when I run as Mule Application it runs fine but starts Mule Server.
How does Mule deployed in the production? Do we need Mule server in production working along with the application Server?
Can we package all the application in one(ESB + application) and deploy it in the application server.
You have the choice regarding production deployments of Mule:
Use Mule standalone as your first choice, as it comes packed with all modules/transport, is production grade (control scripts...) and supports hot application reloads.
If your deployment environment forces you to deploy on application servers (like JBoss), package your Mule application as a web application (WAR).
If you decide to package your Mule application as a WAR, I strongly suggest you use Maven to do so, as they each Mule module/transport require numerous dependencies. Dealing with this by hand would be insane.
Also be sure to use Servlet inbound endpoints instead of HTTP inbound endpoints otherwise Mule will open another HTTP server inside the web container. You want Mule to use the servlet container for its inbound HTTP requests.

Which is best tcp socket server to testing html5websocket? I developing a html5socket based client that will interact with tcp. So I want first a testing server. I am good in PHP but not in sockets programming. So I used PHPwebsocket downloaded from google code. I tried it using its own client and server for testing but it suddenly disconnects and not work as intended so is there any other socket server to test HTML5 websocket client? Which one is better, I can use a python based, or java based tcp server or if in PHP then that can be more convenient. And please tell me what else I need to test HTML5 websocket. I am newbie in sockets. So my concepts are not so clear.

I'm attempting to write a Windows Phone 7 application which needs to connect to a remote data source, in this case it's a MySQL database on a Linux server. I'm not able to move this over to MSSQL, nor to build any kind of windows-based solution (like a WCF web service on the server).
Is there a way for me to use my MySQL database from my Windows Phone 7 application? The MySQL assemblies don't seem to work on the phone. If not, what would the best solution for me to use this database from the phone?
You could build your self a service which would send you json or xml. this can easily be built using mono, python, Ruby, php or any technology that you are comfortable with.
You can build it in a restful manner where all you have to do is call urls in a HTTP GET to retreive data which you handle with the services.
and use the HTTP POST to submit changes to your service.
you can then from WP7 make calls to this service and consume the data.
WP7 does not support sockets at the moment. So your best bet is transfering your payloads over HTTP.
As I mentioned before, if you have access to the machines configuration. You could run Mono which isn't too far off of .Net in terms of language and functionality.
further more, from the phone you can use the Rx library to make these calls Async and keep your application responsive.
I have swing based web application. Currently, the Swing clients communicates to EJB which is running in remote server through third party 'HTTP Tunneling' tool (JProxy). This is commercial tool.
my question is:
Is there any other open source / free 'HTTP Tunneling' tools equivalent to JProxy using which the Swing clients can communicate to EJB.
What are the ways a Swing client can communicate to EJB other than RMI protocal.
