I've been trying for ages using class="grid_x alpha omega clear etc... but no matter what I've tried I cannot get the login box # http://ci2.totalshopuk.com/login to line up correctly. Anyone able to see what I'm doing wrong?
Thanks
Try changing .blockheader { padding: 2px; } to .blockheader { padding: 1px; }
That worked for me!
Both these elements are centred in the div. You need to put the label into a or tag in order to control its position inside the parent div. Then set the widths accordingly to line it up.
The grid system is not always the best option for setting widths on form elements.

I am working in a summer note editor in which i had to add 2 lines with bottom border so user can type in the 2 lines.
I have added a div with the below css
.line {
line-height:10px;
height: 10px;
border-botom: 1px solid #007272;
}
In IE alone I am getting an grey outline around the div
I would like to remove the outline when user focus to type something.kindly provide some inputs.
When you say "focus", I think you mean "hover". If not, please correct me.
To remove the border on hover, just add another rule using the :hover pseudo class:
.line:hover {
border: none;
}
You may also want to make sure that all of your HTML/CSS/JS files are IE-compatible.
Hopefully this solved your problem. If not, please me.
I have fixed the issue by removing the height and line-height and adjusting with the padding on top and bottom.
The issue was when setting the height to any element inside summer note editor that outline is coming up in IE, so removed it and adjusted with padding.
This issue is little bit strange. I was unable to fix it in the local environment initially with the above-said code and fixed it while debugging in the high environment.
I have been trying to display a sequence of text/image/text in the same line in my HTML document and after hours I still haven't deciphered the problem. As of right now my html page looks like:Webpage
I wanted the page to have text/image/text on the same line though as I stated. I tried making the div they are in float: left; and also display: inline; . Furthermore, I also tried display: inline-block; but that still didn't work.
Here is the css code I am working with: css code
If anyone could give me some insight that would be very helpful, thanks.
Basically you need to set display:inline-block; to each element you want to appear inline (h2,div, and any others).
Lastly, you want to set the percentage width of each element such that the total is 99% or less (TBH I can't tell you why this is, it's just been my experience).
I've created a codepen for this, but the issue is basically beneath my YouTube embed there's a margin (Seperating the footer from the page) and I don't understand why, I'm still learning when it comes to web development, so I'll be grateful for any explanations.

Links to codepen must be accompanied by code,
but it's all on codepen, considering there's not much.
It's because an iframe element is inline by default. The reason you are seeing whitespace below the iframe is because inline elements are aligned this way so that there is reserved space below the element for letters such as p, y, q.
You could either change the display of the iframe element to block: (example)
iframe {
display: block;
}
..or you could change the value of the vertical-align property to something other than the default value of baseline. In this case, a value of top would work: (example)
iframe {
vertical-align: top;
}
You can still use what you have, if you edit your CSS and change this code:
#body_wrapper footer {
margin-top: -6px;
}
Not exactly a professional way to do things as you will see the comments i shall get for it but it does fix your problem at hand.
I need to display text vertically in a rowspan within a table. The technique I'm using via CSS seems to "work", but the width of the <p> element can't be changed or else the text wraps to the next line and its not pretty.
Take a look at this jsfiddle I put together in order to replicate my issue.
http://jsfiddle.net/wn4ofcwx/
Any alternatives here? Or possible a fix to my current CSS.
Note: Probably doesn't matter but I'm using the INK Framework (similar
to bootstrap).
Actually I figured it out, it was as simple as using white-space: nowrap;
Which I completely forgot about!
http://jsfiddle.net/wn4ofcwx/7/
The text doesn't wrap because we are explicitly stating nowrap, you can re size the window to see how it keeps its position, now I can apply a width of just 10px to take away all that excessive white space in the rowspan.
Check this out: http://jsfiddle.net/wn4ofcwx/4/
What I added to the class .rotate-vertical:
display: block;
margin: auto auto;
height: 17px;
And I took out : Width: 50px;
Cheers
Actually you can keep out the : display: block;
The p element is already a display: block by default and you didn't overwrite it anywhere.
I recently modified a bit of a button to give it a 3d effect in a bootstrap site.
The result satisfied me, but when I applied the style to tag <button> instead of <a> I had several problems.
You can find the code in question here: http://jsfiddle.net/wctGM/3/
I hope someone can help me, because I can not in any way to move forward
You must use border: none:
button {
border: none;
margin-top : 50px;
}
Your code:
http://jsfiddle.net/wctGM/7/
There are some things which are different to each other. For an instance if you set the border:none; property for a button you will get rid of that border. But the width and height remains different. What I mean to say is go through the default properties which are set on each html tag and try to understand them and then try to change.
See this link. I have added border property like below.
button {
margin-top : 50px;
border:none;
}
