Detect embedded videos in page - html

Given a URL is there any elegant way to find embedded videos in this page?
I was thinking about utilizing the video.google.com API for that but beside being deprecated I couldn't see how this can be done there.
Ideally I would like to extract the embedding code for any embedded video but if there is any solution that would extract embed codes only for popular services (youtube, vimeo, etc) that would also be great.
The server side technology I use is .Net but I am open for methods implemented in other technologies.

For popular services it shouldn't be a problem to write a bunch of regular expressions and match the site against them. You can also write them for the popular embeded players (JW Player, Flowplayer etc.) and the HTML5 "video" tag.

How to embed a video stream that uses MPEG-DASH protocol to my website?

This post is written with the google translator because I only know Spanish
For a long time I have seen that in the different websites that provide the service of watching television online for free I see that they use JwPlayer but I do not see the way to use it for streams, I have only found the way to use it with normal .mp4 videos etc, not with streams Is there another free or open source alternative that I can use? I have to say that this is my first project as a web programmer, I only know basic html and css but could you help me
I tried different ways, embed scripts but none managed to work, they only worked for the protocol (HLS) and not for (MPEG-DASH) and its similarities

Best way of posting a video to a html website

I want to post some mp4 videos in my site and I don't want to upload it to youtube or any 3rd party web app which will let me embed it into my website. I also don't want to use any blogging system like wordpress, drupal. So then what is the best way to post it to my site so that most devices will be able to view it. And can I customize the player which I use?
I have seen w3schools html5 video but I didn't find it helpful. I have also seen ' Video onto a website without plugins ' but I am not satisfied with that.
[Hint: I am ready to convert my video into any format required.]
Thanks in advance.
I have used video.js for this purpose, it worked for me. I haven't tried editing it much, but it has options.

Use the HTML 5 video element. You'll have to upload your video in different formats, since there is no video format that is supported by all browsers, but support for the video element itself is quite good. IE8 doesn't support it, but IE8 is already very old. With the video tag you don't need Javascript or flash plugins.
For an overview of browser support see CanIUse. Another source with much detailed information about video formats and how to convert them is DiveIntoHTML5.info.

Audio and Video capture from webcam using html5

I need some help/suggestion . I'm building a website using PHP, MySQL, HTML5, CSS and I'm stuck at a point.
I have few queries regarding Audio and Video capture from webcam using HTML5.
Is it possible to capture audio and video (Audio and Video means , audio separately, video which will record the audio too [for an example say some one is singing]) from webcam using html5 and PHP or JavaScript code and store it at local pc or in a Live servers pace where I want to ?
Also if it is not possible using html5 , can anybody please suggest a solution? May be using flash or some 3rd party application which I can use in my website with no restriction!
Can anyone help?
You can rent a server with Flash Media such as www.influxis.com and develop the capture part using flash.
HTML5 supports getUserMedia, as documented at http://dev.w3.org/2011/webrtc/editor/getusermedia.html
A good article on this (including examples that actually work, with code) is available here http://www.html5rocks.com/en/tutorials/getusermedia/intro/

Load only audio from youtube in as3

Is it possible to load only the audio from YouTube into my AS3 flash custom player through youtube AS3 api?
I want to load it into a sound object and then assign it to a sound channel.
I would like to know if there is an "official" way to do this, I'd like to avoid improvising (like loading the whole stream and then use only the audio).
Thank you.
I suggest you read the YouTube terms of service carefully:
https://developers.google.com/youtube/terms
In particular, you may not "promote separately the audio or video components of any YouTube audiovisual content made available through the YouTube API".
Doing so in any way (such as moving the video off stage) is likely to have your site blocked for playbacks by YouTube for breach of terms of service.
NB: YouTube manages to provide the service it does through advertising on top of video content. Separating the content like this prevents YouTube from making any money from the service it is providing.
If you use it for private usage, its okay I guess.
After some research work with different APIs and libraries and researching source code, I just tried it by myself and wolla.
Just saying, audio only links are in the page source of each video.
You just have to know what you are looking for ;)
Open a youtube video, view page source and search for "mime%3Daudio". There should be 5 matches, full url for example:
"https%3A%2F%2Fr2---sn-35cxanpbo5a-8pxl.googlevideo.com%2Fvideoplayback%3Fsource%3Dyoutube%26signature%3D30EC556F55533FBFD9003767730D10556681F33A.B12E021CA54CCB9E225F58A4430E9BB528081FB5%26requiressl%3Dyes%26expire%3D1527306011%26clen%3D3064602%26initcwndbps%3D1152500%26ipbits%3D0%26mime%3Daudio%252Fmp4%26dur%3D192.911%26fvip%3D5%26lmt%3D1524946334873350%26key%3Dyt6%26sparams%3Dclen%252Cdur%252Cei%252Cgir%252Cid%252Cinitcwndbps%252Cip%252Cipbits%252Citag%252Ckeepalive%252Clmt%252Cmime%252Cmm%252Cmn%252Cms%252Cmv%252Cpl%252Crequiressl%252Csource%252Cexpire%26itag%3D140%26gir%3Dyes%26ip%3D81.217.53.239%26id%3Do-ALNxMeQYw4LLc1FAjxt4h795wKTdqJnzc_SBgzEJVBxR%26c%3DWEB%26keepalive%3Dyes%26mm%3D31%252C29%26mn%3Dsn-35cxanpbo5a-8pxl%252Csn-2gb7sn7r%26ei%3Du4IIW7DfC46rgAfrrpnICw%26ms%3Dau%252Crdu%26mt%3D1527284230%26pl%3D16%26mv%3Dm"
Just decode URL and you got what you want.

Youtube Video In HTML5 <video>

I have made a windows store app using the Youtube Iframe API. I can handle events and play video fine but there is a major problem as it doesnt support full screen mode (amongst some other minor niggles).
I have been looking in the app store and I see that the majority of youtube player apps do not use the iframe API, they grab the video direct and put it into the standard HTML5 video player.
I have done a lot of searching and the only way I can see people are doing this is by parsing the youtube page to find the video file the Youtube player is going to play and loading this directly into the media player.
I have a few problems with this method.
I am not sure if this is legal as it may break youtubes terms and conditions
If page at youtube changes it can break app.
Neither of these situations are acceptable.
Is there any way to get full screen to work inside app or get a direct video stream legitimately?
Not sure about the copyright and youtube terms stuff but here is how you do it apparently:
Show Youtube video source into HTML5 video tag?
Looks like it's browser specific and youtube generates different html for different browsers.
I would make an ajax request to the youtube url appending html5-true then use jQuery to scrape the source for the video tag, add your attributes and then append to your page.
Now you have the tag that youtube uses so I'm assuming what works on their webpage will work o yours.
Probably violates all terms and conditions...
