Facebook app displaying a window, within a window - html

I am new to creating apps on facebook, and I have finally figured out how to have my page post to the canvas of my app. The problem is, within the app canvas, it looks its pulling data from the whole window in the canvas. So it looks like a window within the canvas. I need some help trying to get this right, this is my first app! Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks again!

In your App settings under Page Tab, you are setting your Page Tab URL as the Canvas Page which is wrong.
It should point to your server so it should like like: https://secure.dealerpro.net/facebook-credit-app.aspx?hostname=www.battlegroundkia.com

Inserting an iframe or Dynamic content into an info window?

I have a google map which is hooked up to a fusion table. Its pretty basic, lists street address, phone, and branch #.
I recently got a request though to add current weather to the info window that appears when a user clicks on a map marker.
Initially I thought I could just iframe this in, but it appears that google strips that HTML out of the info window when I add it in. I guess only basic html is allowed.
Does anyone know a way to throw dynamic content into that info window box or a way to get around google stripping out the iframe code?
The only iFrames I can get to work in fusion table map windows or cards are youtube embeds. Other iframes appear to get srtipped out as you say. It would be a good feature to be able to have universal iframe content instead of just google products.

Windows Phone Live Tiles with Background from the Web and updated automatically.

I am currently working on a windows Phone App that is supposed to have a flipping liveTile. Here's how it is supposed to work:
The Front will be generated from UI Elements that are filled with Data pulled from a Web API. That Backside will be generated from an Image downloaded from the Web. the Idea ist to have one Image for the small liveTile size and one for the big live tile.
Can someone give me a hint, how i can update the livetile automatically without having to have the app opened? I can't do it with a Push notification because i don't have a server to do the pushing in the first place. I tried using the ShellTileSheduler and RemotImageURI property but this doesn't work for different sizes. Am i missing something? Has anyone done somehting like this and has an idea how to do it? I'm getting really frustrated.
Here is a good start to generate tile

how to fetch specific part of an html page into webBrowser control?

I am working on getting only a part of the navigated webpage.
for example, "the face book . com" homepage.
I only want the division of groups on the left to appear in my web Browser control.
is that possible?
I am having ideas on fetching but i don't know how to do it. any other way is fine.
also, please let me know where to put the code, because i am new on vb.net
web.Document.All("mConnect").InvokeMember("click")
this is for clicking something inside the html
web.Document.getElementId("<div>").InnerHtml("")
is this code correct? what is it for?
let's say we cut the google homepage 4 ways. and i only want Quadrant 2 to appear in my webBrowser control. is that possible? I think this is a clearer explanation..
I saw one post in this forum that technically solved my problem by manually forcing the webbrowser control to scroll to what place I want.
Web.Navigate("javascript:window.scroll(320,10,document.body.scrollHeight);")
320 is the width, 10 is the height. edit to where you want it to be.
adjust the size of your webBrowser then you can particularly choose the part that you want to see, disable scrollbars if you want.

Website jumping down on page load with embedded iframe google form

When someone navigates to a particular page with a google web form on it, the browser automatically jumps down to the google web form near the bottom of the page.
Website URL
Any ideas on how to keep it at the top of the page?
Thanks!
Jeff
Its due to the a field in the form getting focus, if you can stop that it wont jump down.
I've had a look at google forms and it doesn't look like there is a way to configure it not to set focus, you could try some custom javascript to stop it.
I can see from the URL shared that the original user's issue is now resolved, but fyi for others seeking a solution, if the Google Form is embedded via an iFrame, or you're using a custom HTML form to post answers to a Google form via the target of an iFrame, and this jumping occurs, changing the src='' of the iFrame to src='about:blank' worked a treat to eliminate any jumping of the page.

iFrame overlay Silverlight 5

I have got a problem in my Silverlight-Application.
There is an iFrame displayed at my XAML view. When I open now a childwindow control (sample Messagebox), the iFrame is still overlaying the MessageBox. I need to put the child-window over the iFrame. Can anyone help me?
Best regards, Patrik
Your question is not very clear, but I will assume that what you have is a Silverlight application with an iFrame on top (defined in the hosting HTML file) containing some other content. If this is your scenario you are out of luck. What you are asking is basically for the Silverlight application to take a small part of itself (the child window), move that part outside of its own confines and then render that small part on top of something else in the browser.
