Creating contextMenu at Chrome load - google-chrome

I'm doing a chrome extension which adds an option to right click menu in "page" context. I see the option added in the context menu after I click on extension's icon in the toolbar.
But I need the option to be added without clicking on the extension icon in the toolbar. If I add contextMenu creation code in the content script which gets injected in every page, the option is not added in the contextmenu.
What do I need to do to: add an option in the contextMenu when the user loads any webpage without clicking the extension first.

Add your context menu in the background page.

Background pages is a single long-running script to manage some task or state. That is where you should put it.
Hope that helped.

How to retain the previous state of Viewer Toolbar

I have one custom toolbar buttons for the viewing 2d files. Clicking on same opens the panel for selecting file for comparison and loads the 'PixelCompare' extension. Once the operation is done, and when I click the 'Exit Comparing' toolbar button of PixelCompare, it doesn't show that extra custom toolbar button. Please suggest what is required. How can I handle the inbuilt extension unload. Thanks!

Trigger.io active tab for tabbar

I have a tabbar in my trigger.io app and currently have the setactive parameter set on the function element for each tab, so when selecting a tab it highlights the tab. While this works as expected I noticed if I go back using the back button on android or a built in soft button in app
( history.back() )
The highlight is lost. Now I understand why it would get lost as its only explicitly told to highlight when tapped but I was wondering if there is a way to programmatically trigger the highlight or active state so when I navigate between tabs and use the back button it will keep the highlighted state properly for each tab section?
Easiest would probably to add an event listener to update the button state with:
forge.event.backPressed.addListener(callback, error)

SSRS - adding button to SSRS toolbar

is it possible to add a button to the SSRS toolbar?
Currently on the toolbar you see export, the refresh and the print button. I would like to add a button that will link to a new page.
Is this possible?
There is no method to add your own buttons to the toolbar itself. You can, however, enable the Page Navigation buttons that allow the user to go back/forward or jump to a specific page.

Display Chrome extension popup at middle of page

I am new to writing chrome extensions and was wondering how can i do the following.
How can i make the popup(when someone clicks on extension icon) display at the center of the webpage instead of displaying the popup at the top right corner ?
Use chrome.browserAction.onClicked.addListener(), which fires "when a browser action icon is clicked." Then inject your popup manually into the DOM of the supplied tab, using something like chrome.tabs.executeScript().
Also consider adding a context-menu item, which might make more sense to a user depending on what your extension actually does.

popup in Chrome browser action only if click on down arrow on right side of the icon

I am developing a Chrome extension with browser action. I want to make some action on clicking on browser action icon (it is easy, not a problem), and show popup if user clicks on down arrow at the right side of the icon (that is a problem). So, we will receive a functionality similar to the firefox toolbarbutton from XUL. Is it possible to do such thing with Google Chrome?
Just want to make button, like that:
button
If it is pressed on the main part - it will do something, if on the right "drop-down" part - it will show quick settings page.
But I see only single button possibility.
The entire browserAction button works as a single button. There is no way to detect if a specific area was clicked. The best you can do is either have multiple extensions each having their own button for different actions or have options in the popup that the user selects with a second click.
