I had installed SharePoint 2007,with basic option on Windows Server 2003 standard edition. The installation was successful, after which IE opened up with a login dialog. I tried passing my administrator username and password, but still couldn't login.
I am completely new to Sharepoint, please help me to sort out this issue.
Finally got this resolved. So let me once more precisely explain the problem. After successful installation of sharepoint 2007 with basic option, the default browser( in my case IE) came up with the following URL http://MACHINE_NAME:14530/default.aspx (This URL points to Sharepoint Central Administration Page). A login dialog which kept popping up even after providing the administrator credentials. After some Googling, I came up with the following solution
Following steps were executed to get things on track. (I am using IE6. All these steps were executed on the same PC where SharePoint was installed)
1.Open IE, go to Tools - Internet Options
2.Add the Central Administration Page URL to "Trusted Sites".
A) Click "Security" tab, select "Trusted Sites" icons with a green tick mark.
B) Click "Sites" button. A window with the title "Trusted Sites" will open up.
C) Uncheck "Require server verification(https:) for all sites in this zone"
D) Paste the "Central Administration Page" URL to "Add this Web Site to the zone:"
E) Click "Add"
F) Click Close.
3.Configure "Custom level" for "Trusted Sites".
A) Select "Trusted Sites" icon in "Security" tab.
B) Click "Custom level" button.
C) "Security Settings" window should open up.
D) In settings list go to category "User Authentication"->Logon.
E) Select "Automatic logon with current username and password".
F) Click "OK". (Also click OK in the "Internet Options" window)
4.Now Restart IE and navigate to Sharepoint Central Administration Page. Now you shouldn't see any login window popping up.

You can open user settings through the command palette:

Type "user settings"

Click the "sheet" icon to open the [settings.json][1] file:
sheet icon
You can delete the contents and save them to reset your settings.
I'm trying to run the Api Explorer in LocalHost But it always show the Error
The API you are exploring is hosted over HTTP, which can cause problems.
So I follow the instruction
Go to File Explorer then paste this to address bar >> C:\Program Files (x86)\Google\Chrome\Application (or just go to where you can find your chrome.exe)
Right click chrome.exe > send to > Desktop (Create Shortcut)
Go to your desktop then find the chrome shortcut you've created.
Rename it to ChromeForTesting (this step is optional)
Right click the shortcut, then Click Properties
At the "Target", paste the following at the end of the link
--user-data-dir=test --unsafely-treat-insecure-origin-as-secure=http://localhost:8080
so Target should look somewhat similar to this
"C:\Program Files (x86)\Google\Chrome\Application\chrome.exe" --user-data-dir=test --unsafely-treat-insecure-origin-as-secure=http://localhost:8080
Click Ok..
During testing close all of your opened google chrome browser.
Then double click ChromeForTesting shortcut (the one you've created), when a prompt appears, just click ok..
But After compelting this When I run that shortcut it will give the error
you are using unsupported command line flag --user-data-dir=test --unsafely-treat-insecure-origin-as-secure=http://localhost:8080
I also try to click load unsafe script but this is also not working.
Here is screen shot.
i did follow all the answers on

and nothing worked for me... nothing at all.
I'm on windows 10, using chrome version 54.0.2840.99 m
trying to access my QNAP TS-453a on local on a static ip address (10.1.1.1)
https://10.1.1.1/cgi-bin/
I tried using imported certificates, self signed, export and import the default one, etc nothing works
Some help would be really really appreciated
Valid as of Chrome v58.0.3029:
Visit the site in Chrome.
Open Developer Tools (F12)
Navigate to Security tab
Click "View certificate"
Click Details > Copy to file
Choose a save location on your local machine
Open Chrome settings
Toggle "Show Advanced Settings" (bottom of screen)
Navigate to HTTPS/SSL > Manage certificates
Click "Trusted Root Certification Authorities"
Click Import
Navigate to the cert you just stored
Quit Chrome (Ctrl+Shift+Q) and re-visit your site
NOTE:
Chrome recently (as of 05/15/17) began to require that the cert's subjectAltName parameter be filled. This question received an answer that tells you how to do so.
In general, to troubleshoot this kind of problem, open Developer Tools, go to Security tab, and you will see what Chrome deems wrong with that certificate.
It is likely that it doesn't include a subjectAltName extension, and the solution for adding one is here: https://stackoverflow.com/a/56530824/2873507
On running the ripple emulator with nexus s & galaxy . I am getting a dialog box saying

one more thing where can i set the System path variable to
%JAVA_HOME%\bin;%ADT_HOME%\tools;%ADT_HOME%\platform-tools;%ANT_HOME%\bin;
I mean to say what is this(System path variable) i don't understand .
If you are using Windows:
Go to C:\Program Files (x86)\Google
Right-click on the "Chrome" folder
Go to the "Security" tab
Click on "Edit..." button -> "Add..."
Type Everyone -> "OK" -> "OK"
Click on "Advanced"
At the end of the "Owner" field, click on blue "Change" word
Type Everyone -> "OK" -> "OK" -> "OK"
This worked for me on Windows 7.
Go to the file given in the error message:
c\users\[username]\application data\local\google\chrome
right click the chrome file
share with-specific people
use drop down arrow in top box and choose your username ie give yourself permission to share the file.
add
confirm.
Message says its been done,
close.
Chrome then opens without having to open it as administrator after every boot-up.
It seems your Chrome user data directory might be corrupted, try following and see whether it helps:
Take the back-up of bookmarks (if you want to back-up the data)
Delete C:\Users\[user name]\AppData\Local\Google\Chrome folder
Uninstall Chrome
Reinstall Chrome
For the time being, you can create a android emulator. You don't need chrome for that.
It will work normally when you log in as administrator. If not you can simply change the "chmod" of the directory to 777. it will work.
I was facing this same issue for months, and now I have solved it.
First uninstall Chrome then go to C:\Program Files to double-check and hence delete the 'Google' folder if it still remains.
Then press Windows+R and type in regedit to enter into Registry Editor.
Now locate HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Policies\Google and delete the Google folder. In case you don't find the folder, just delete any Google folder you come across under HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software
Almost Done! Now download Chrome from it's website, install it and give it a try.
I've created and installed all the required certificates as far as I can tell. If I look in the details of the certificates they are all valid.
I've set the config to release in monodevelop.
In the options of MonoDevelop, I've choosen "Sign the application bundle"
In Identity I've choose the "Mac Developer" certificate I created.
I've created a profile which matches the "Profile Bundle" in info.plist.
However, it can't be found by monodevelop in provision : "No matching profile found"
What am I missing?
Really hope somebody knows where I'm going wrong. I'm soooo close to finally getting this stupid app working.
It sounds like you don't have the Provisioning Profile that you created on Apple's Mac Developer site installed on your machine.
If you open Xcode's Organizer window and select the "Devices" tab at the top, there should be a list on the left-hand side of the window with items like:
Library
Provisioning Profiles
Software Images
Device Logs
Screenshots
Select "Provisioning Profiles".
At the bottom of the screen, you should see a 4 buttons: New, Import, Export (on the left), and Refresh (on the far right).
Click the Refresh button and it will query Apple's developer site and download all your Provisioning Profiles.
