Trying to get html5 videos working and running into a color problem.
(For those interested, there's also this problem)
Chrome renders videos slightly differently than other browser.
On safari & firefox the background is nice and white. On chrome it's a washed off beige.
See compared screenshots:
It doesn't matter which codec is used - Chrome reads m4v, ogg and webm fine - but they all render washed off..
Can't seem to be able to correct this.
Any idea?
Ok, that's interesting.. seems to only happens on the latest dev version (10.0.648.6).
If I switch back to the current mainstream version (8.0.552.237) all the problems go away (including the cross-referenced question problem)

When these PDFs are opened in browser in Google Chrome the colours are changed drastically, but when opened in another browser or opened in Preview on Mac the colours go back to normal.
It also doesnt occur in some other languages.
You can see in the screenshot below what it should display (top) and what it is displaying (bottom).
The first page consists of a single large JPEG2000 compressed image: 8 bit indexed color, 1276 x 1790 pixels.
A quick look at a comparison of browsers shows Chrome does not support JPEG2000 (officially at least, since you still got to see something).
There seem to be some plugins that add JPEG2000 support to Chrome, but
that is a local solution, it does not fix the issue for all users; and
Chrome uses its own internal PDF renderer, so it might not work "inside" PDFs.
I got a really strange problem, and after so much tries and research I can't get out of it.
I have a website, but SOME (just 5% of visitors) people with the SAME version of chrome, see the text flowing out of divs and text overlapping. It's very strange because I tested the website on all chrome browsers using browser testers, without any problem. And in internet explorer or firefox this problem never happens...

I see you use .svg font. Recently I was hunting some Chrome font rendering bugs and saw this:

This seem very similar to issues you are having. You could try to serve some other font type to Chrome and if this would fix that.
If you don't want or can't serve some other font type to Chrome, the only thing you can do is wait until Chrome version 24 is out to all users which should be soon (I can't find any announcement)

I converted a video to webm through Any Video Converter and it plays fine in Firefox. However, in Chrome it constantly resizes itself during playback and I'm not sure why.
I previously used Miro converter, but that video wouldn't play in Firefox at all for some reason. It would jump instantly to the end of the video when I pressed play. When using my custom settings, it did the weird resizing thing in Chrome, but when I exported it again using the default settings, it played normally in Chrome, but still nothing in Firefox, so I switched to using Any Video Converter and now the resizing issue is back. I didn't change anything in the settings.

I'm using the latest versions of both Firefox and Chrome by the way.
I never quite figured out what was causing the rapid size change during playback, but this link recommended some converters I haven't tried yet. http://www.my-html-codes.com/html5-video-converters
I used Free WebM Encoder http://webmsoft.com/free-webm-encoder.html and everything works fine now on all browsers. So, if anyone else has seen this weird issue, use this converter I guess.
It would still be nice to know what caused everything in the first place, just in case it happens again, but at least everything is fine now! By the way, I've taken down the videoTest link I provided in the original question since I don't need it anymore.
Hello my website http://www.paruhdice.com/index2.html is not acting as it should be. It worked some what fine in IE 8. And works perfectly in the latest CHROME and Firefox... but my sliding navigation is not even responding. What should I do? Prompt users to use CHROME or FIREFOX... or is there a fix to this? It seems to be working for me in IE 9.0.8112.16421 as well as the latest Firefox release. The left-hand navigation bar moves smoothly with the window as I re-size.
Unfortunately, HTML5 is not a fully implemented standard, so you won't get full support in any browser. IE9 was also released back in march and both Chrome and Firefox have made great strides since then to add more support for HTML5. Doing a quick web search I came up with the site, http://html5test.com/results.html. It certainly gives an interesting overview of your current browsers support for html5 as well as the ranking of other browsers by comparison.
Since it all ready sounds like you are telling all of the old IE, Safari, Firefox users to update to view your site, I see no reason to tell them some features don't work and you recommend they upgrade.
I have an <audio> element in a webpage. I'm happy to use the native browser controls, which are fine in Firefox, Safari, and Chrome for the Mac.
However, Chrome (12.0.742.122 on Windows 7) is displaying the native audio player without any background:

I realise my Mac's a couple of versions forward (it's on the dev channel) but this seems like a surprising issue. Any idea how to fix it?
Alternatively, can anyone recommend a completely painless player (with flash fallback) that I can drop it to style them all the same?
If you wrapped it in a div with a medium-gray background, wouldn't it work around the problem in Chrome 12 and still look the same in Chrome 14?
