I have started to develop E-Learning application and want to know Are There any frameworks for create interactive courses using flash. I think it should be something like this:
Should be core engine for read and preview each lesson.
Each lesson should be described in xml (or something like that) file.
User (administrator) can add new lesson as xml file with resources (I mean images, video and so on) without changing core engine.
Can you help me to find framework with above functionality or I should create it manualy?
Thanks.
Maybe this one: Open source e-learning platform for flex 3
We have decided to write own domain specific framework because I have not found any framework with good functional.

I'm developing a program, and wanted to use html/css/jsp in Netbeans for GUI because I used this program for my another JAVA project. It was very helpful for me to do GUI like JFrame, JButton etc..
Can I not use Netbeans like I did? There's no design part when I made a web application.
If you are looking for drag and drop like java then netbeans not provide facility for web designing. There is no design part you have to code yourself for even a single buttotn.
A simple tut for netbeans
The another resource you may need is
visualwebdev
Also html5 fun pack may come handy.
I created a webpage several years ago. Back then I was using Adobe GoLive! to achieve that. But now, there is no adobe GoLive any more and I don't have a useful application for creating a web project. So what I want to achieve is: a good looking online presence for my project. I want to use the new stuff as well, like HTML5 and CSS3. I don't think that I will need beans or J2EE, because it is more about the design and not the functionality. Later on I will include the web project into my Apache server. So the question is: which tool can help me to develop a modern website, what would you advice?
Thank You
Actually I use NetBeans 8 for the following reasons:
it's very strong and containt so many features
i supports ftp
ii supports CSS3 , HTML5
iii powerful , autoComplete
it's open-Source application so it's free
it keeps the history of your files and saves all the updates so you can restore any file
situation you made before
it's easy to use.
It's a good programming tool
SECOND: I suggest using xampp instead of abache server
it actually includes abache and some other features like mysql
so it's easy to deal with it instead of dealing with many programs :)
I strongly recommend 'IUEditor'
Free license. Ownership is 2,000$, monthly license is more than 50$. But if you request startup license they offer free license.
CSS3 and HTML5 : you can use any kind of website.
Back-end support : That's only one web editor which supports backend, such as django and angularJS
Supports GIT.
I tried more than 10 web editors, but IUEditor works best.
I'm about to start a project that's going to be a web site for storing photos. The method for uploading shall be drag and drop (from the desktop, same as Imgur), and it shall be possible to rate the photos as well commenting them.
For the project I'm going to use Node.js as well as HTML5, CSS3 and jQuery. The thing is that I'm a total newbie on Node.js and really could use some help regarding getting started. For the project I will of course need a database, and I have understood that MongoDB is a good choice. Is there any templates for this combination, so that I don't need to start from scratch?
I have installed Node.js and followed some tutorials but I really feel that I want to a template if there is one.
Thanks in advance!
As you said you are a beginner you can take the best independent modules for your project and start using. Instead of having a pre-defined package of necessary components as a single module. Problem is you may end up not understanding the whole pack and become more biased.
So,
I would suggest to use Expressjs (Best Choice) for url routing as mentioned above.
And,
File upload management:
formidable - a high performance file upload server with file parts reading and progress notifiers etc.
Template Engine (Markup libs for your custom htmls):
Jade
coffeekup
And consider Bootstrap as well for prebuilt templates if in case you need it.
Mongo - Good choice.
Mongo Modules
These libs should help.
Take a look at HTML5 Boilerplate + Express.js
As a basic starting point, this is a popular framework:
http://expressjs.com/
Here you will find some links to example applications:
Node.js Web Application examples/tutorials

Open Source Node.js (and Express) projects
Express JS is good but I would recommend you have a look at Railway JS as well.
It is based on Express with support for numerous template engines and database adapters (including MongoDB). It is a lot more modular so you should not have much trouble working with it (in my opinion).
Check out: Uploading images using Node.js, Express, and Mongoose too.
Here is a list of resources that I have compiled using themeefy to start a node.js project http://www.themeefy.com/AvinashEga2/nodejs
I think Tower.js is something like what you're after.
I am planning to create a HTML5 web application. I have a couple of queries though-:
I wished to know if it is possible to create a business oriented application using HTML5 only without a backbone like Asp.Net. I found a lot of articles on google suggesting the use of Asp.Net MVC, or ASP.Net website as a base template but none suggesting a HTML+js alone approach.
Given the web standards update for VS 2010 SP1 and js libraries like Modernizr, is it possible to create an app completely in HTML5 using Visual Studio.
You're eventually going to want to do some server side work, and for that you would need either Java, PHP, or ASP set up to intercept and process commands... you could go ahead and create everything in HTML+JS alone, and use the file writer for "permanent storage" but that's really cutting corners, and can lead to catastrophe down the line depending on where exactly you are trying to take this application of yours.
I want to develop an application like Swing GUI Builder where drag and drop of contents over the workspace will be possible.
How to achieve this? Is there any reference available.
This would be a huge task. Project Matisse did a lot of work on this which is now incorporated into the Netbeans IDE. This link is an interview with the person behind the matisse project, and talks about some of the challenges and how the team overcame them. You can use the layout manager they created, and looking through the Netbeans source code would probably give you some idea of how to go about building what you want.
Download NetBeans from NetBeans.org, make sure you have the JDK (Java Development Kit), and use the GUI Builder in NetBeans. It's drag and drop and is easy to use. Documentation can be found at the homepage, and you should take a quick look at this tutorial.
