Integrating Hudson with UCM Clearcase on windows machine - hudson

I've installed Hudson on my windows machine and trying to integrate it with UCM Clearcase (the repository we are using).
There are no help docs available on Hudson wiki to explain how to do that.
I select New Job --> Project Name
I give as Test --> select Build a free style software project --> click Ok
--> This leads me to Configure Project screen
--> Under Source Code management I select UCM Clearcase
--> I give a dynamic view name I've already created and the name of the integration stream (in stream selector)
--> Under Advanced options I select "Use UCM dynamic view" and give view root as M:\ and in "Windows dynamic view storage directory" I give \\Hostname\CC_Views\MyTestView.vws.
Now I run the project to check if the fetch in working properly or not and I get this error:
[advcm3_LAC_FN38_Test] $ cleartool pwv -root M:\advcm3_LAC_FN38_Test
[workspace] $ cleartool startview advcm3_LAC_FN38_Test
[advcm3_LAC_FN38_Test] $ cleartool setcs -tag advcm3_LAC_FN38_Test -stream
cleartool: Warning: Config spec OK, but unable to tell view server to load.
cleartool: Warning: View server should be restarted.

Can someone please guide me in this?
Thanks,

This is usually symptomatic of an ACL issue.
You need to:
make sure what user are actually running the Hudson Jobs (and with what CLEARCASE_PRIMARY_GROUP environment value)
check the view protection
cd m:\advcm3_LAC_FN38_Test
cleartool lsview -l -full -pro -cview
If the user differ, you need to reprotect the view
fix_prot -force -r -chown rightUser -chgrp rightGroup -chmod 775 \\Hostname\CC_Views\MyTestView.vws.
fix_prot -force -root -chown rightUser -chgrp rightGroup \\Hostname\CC_Views\MyTestView.vws.
fix_prot is in c:/Program Files/rational/clearcase/etc/utils for CC7.0 or less, or c:/Program Files/IBM/RationalSDLC/clearcase/etc/utils for CC7.1 or more.
Note: it is strange that a view called advcm3_LAC_FN38_Test has an associated view storage called MyTestView.vws.
I would have rather expected a \\Hostname\CC_Views\advcm3_LAC_FN38_Test.vws.

Change mysql db location when installed with homebrew using Big Sur and external hard drive

Previously I had /usr/local/var/mysql symlinked to /Volumes/External/mysql meaning all my databases were stored on the external hard drive.
I have had to reformat my machine and upgrade to BigSur. If I try to set up the symlink as before I now get the following when I try to start MySQL
brew services start mysql
Bootstrap failed: 5: Input/output error
Error: Failure while executing; `/bin/launchctl bootstrap gui/502 /Users/jamie/Library/LaunchAgents/homebrew.mxcl.mysql.plist` exited with 5.
If I try to also change the -datadir in
/usr/local/Cellar/mysql/8.0.26/homebrew.mxcl.mysql.plist
to be
<string>--datadir=/Volumes/External/mysql</string>
I get the same error
brew services start mysql
Bootstrap failed: 5: Input/output error
Error: Failure while executing; `/bin/launchctl bootstrap gui/502 /Users/jamie/Library/LaunchAgents/homebrew.mxcl.mysql.plist` exited with 5.
I have tried
launchctl unload /Users/jamie/Library/LaunchAgents/homebrew.mxcl.mysql.plist
launchctl load /Users/jamie/Library/LaunchAgents/homebrew.mxcl.mysql.plist
but that didn't work either. It's like it doesn't have the correct permissions. Looking at the privacy settings you can see httpd which is also installed by brew is allowed to see "Removable volumes".
I can't add MySQL as the + symbol is grey out even though I have unlocked the panel
The external hard drive is located at /Volumes/External/ and is APFS (Encrypted) volume.
Any help would be much appreciated

Gnome Boxes on Fedora 33 fails to open

I attempt to load gnome-boxes from the terminal (I'm running Fedora 33) and get the following error
$ gnome-boxes

I don't whether it's related but I recently updated from kernel 5.9.11 directly to 5.9.16 (haven't used the PC in question for some weeks) and before gnome-boxes was working as normal.
Please advise how I can restore gnome-boxes - I have some virtual machines that I need to access...
I faced this issue when I force stopped Gnome-Boxes while cloning a VM.
Deleting the conflicting VM will resolve your issue(in your case 'fedora33-wor-2').
To delete the VM in fedora, install "libvirt-client" which provides "virsh" using the command
dnf install libvirt-client
then double check the available VM's using
virsh list --all
Delete the VM using command,
virsh undefine VM_Name
#channel-fun solved the problem of staring up gnome-boxes.
But the real problem is in cloning procedure. The XML describing the new machine is malformed.
virt-clone --original fedora33-ser --auto-clone
works properly.
I know this is an old thread, but I had the same problem recently.
I shut down gnome boxes whilst it was cloning a vm, and shutdown the machine.
I then couldn't open boxes, as it would just crash.
I was able to delete the VM itself, and then deleted the XML file associated with it.
To delete the VM itself, go to :
$HOME/.var/app/org.gnome.Boxes/data/gnome-boxes/images (which in my case is a symbolic link to a data drive)
and delete the VM with the name that you were cloning to (or safer, just move it somewhere).
To delete the XML file associated with it:
$HOME/.var/app/org.gnome.Boxes/config/libvirt/qemu/
and delete (or safer move) the file that is named VM_NAME.xml.
Then boxes should open ok, at least it worked for me.
Extending on Channel Fun's answer for Ubuntu repos the package is libvirt-clients (note the plural s):
sudo apt install libvirt-clients
Check the available VM's using:
virsh list --all
Delete the VM using:
virsh undefine VM_Name
If you receive the error:
error: Refusing to undefine while domain managed save image exists
Then you can explicitly remove that also using the --managed-save flag:
virsh undefine VM_Name --managed-save

MSDeploy gulp build package

Is it possible to deploy a Single Page App project build using grunt to IIS using MSDeploy from TeamCity? The project is not any kind of Visual Studio solution and doesn't get built using MSBuild.
My Command parameters which are not working are:
-source:package='%teamcity.build.checkoutDir%\Dist.%build.number%.zip' -dest:auto,computerName="%system.MsDeployServiceUrl%",userName="%system.UserName%",password="%system.Password%",authtype="basic",includeAcls="False"
-verb:sync -setParamFile:"%teamcity.build.checkoutDir%\Dist.%build.number%.zip.SetParameters.xml"
-AllowUntrusted -setParam:"IIS Web Application Name"="%system.WebSiteName%" -verbose
The error I am getting is:
[11:47:31][Step 3/3] Error Code: ERROR_EXCEPTION_WHILE_CREATING_OBJECT
[11:47:31][Step 3/3] More Information: Object of type 'package' and

My build process is working as I end up with the correct artefacts, I just don't seem to be able to deploy my generated artefacts using MSDeploy
This is a screenshot of my artefacts:
I managed to get this working by changing my parameters to the following:
-source:iisapp='%teamcity.build.checkoutDir%\dist' -dest:iisapp='C:\www\xxxx-website',computerName="%system.MsDeployServiceUrl%",userName="%system.UserName%",password="%system.Password%",authtype="basic",includeAcls="False"
-verb:sync -AllowUntrusted -verbose
And changing my user to an admin user rather than an IIS user. Note use of iisapp - the key was to read the MSDeploy api using msdeploy -help
FYI - a good test is to use the intended command against msdeploy.exe in console and check output errors then push command into teamcity when it's working.
I created a grunt and gulp plugin to do just what you are looking to do. gulp-mswebdeploy-package and grunt-mswebdeploy-package will create a ms webdeploy package from any folder and do not require your build to be running on windows.

How to debug the cartridge scripts in Openshift?

I want to develop a new cartridge for my own use. I use OpenShift Cartridge Development Kit to start my work. My building script is written in .openshift/action_hooks/build and it can be successfully executed.
But when I tried to use the command displayed on the homepage of the CDK project - "rhc create-app mynewcart http://##YOUR-DOMAIN##/manifest/##YOUR-COMMIT-ID##" - to create an app, I got the following error: "Unable to complete the requested operation due to: An invalid exit code (1) was returned from the server ex-std-node161.prod.rhcloud.com. This indicates an unexpected problem during the
execution of your request."
How can I trace the progress of deploying and find out where is the code that caused the problem? Is there any log file available for me to analyse?
Use the --debug option when running the command and you'll get much more detailed output:
rhc create-app mynewcart http://##YOUR-DOMAIN##/manifest/##YOUR-COMMIT-ID## --debug

Why rasqal configuration can't recognize the already raptor library on cygwin?

I am trying to install rasqal 0.9.20 library http://librdf.org/rasqal/ onto a windows 7 machine with cygwin.Earlier i have successfully installed the raptor-2.2.0 library http://librdf.org/raptor/ and i can verify this with the rapper tool was created after the installation(./configure , ./make ,/make install)
The error that i am getting from the configuration of rasqal is :
./configure --enable-raptor2
...
checking for raptor... configure: error: Raptor2 is not installed - see http://librdf.org/raptor/ to get a version newer than 1.9.0
I can't find a way to fix it. The code from the cofigure file that handles this flag is the below :
11840 # raptor is REQUIRED despite the checking here
11841 RAPTOR_MIN_VERSION=1.4.19
11842 RAPTOR_MAX_VERSION=1.8.99
11843 RAPTOR2_MIN_VERSION=1.9.0
11844
11845 raptor2=no
11846 # Check whether --enable-raptor2 was given.
11847 if test "${enable_raptor2+set}" = set; then :
11848 enableval=$enable_raptor2; raptor2="$enableval"
11849 else
11850 raptor2="no"
11851 fi
Raptor 2.0.0 uses only pkg-config to provide configuration information, raptor-config was removed. The same applies to rasqal itself, the rasqal-config program will go away at some point. The --enable-raptor2 option to rasqal and librdf was for testing the beta raptor2, and it has been removed from rasqal 0.9.22 and librdf GIT head.
Set PKG_CONFIG_PATH to include the correct path:
env PKG_CONFIG_PATH=/usr/local/lib/pkgconfig ./configure
Another method, if available on your system, is to define the environment variable in /etc/environment:
PKG_CONFIG_PATH=/usr/local/lib/pkgconfig
