I have downloaded an .osm file from open street map and I want to plot this into an map. What is the best way to do this? I dont want to use Google Maps. Is there any other open source maps available where I can simply use their API?

I am creating a ssrs report that contains a map. However, I only want it to display for Dubai International Airport. Does anyone know where I can find a .shp file for this?
Would greatly appreciate it.
Thanks everyone!
Seems as though maps within ssrs are extremely static so the solution I have found is to use an image and set a url with string to display the are I would like

I want to style the google maps navigation arrows, located in the top left corner of the map. Here is the picture of it:
Is it somehow possible?
It's impossible to do with embed Google Map.
You need to create a map with javascript. Then you can disable controls and style the map.

Hope it will help.

For 3 days i am trying to get this working.
I am new to WP8.

I would like to use pure HTML5 to try and test it's ability to Geotag an image with a location. How can this be done in HTML5?
I have used google to find an answer, but to no avail. I am sure this has been asked before but cant find a similar question and there seems to be very little examples.
I have the retrieving location side of it working, just need to load an image and tag it with the location and save it to local storage.
any help here would be appreciated.

I'm new in an organization that has an application that renders large tiled images in a web app. Like Google Maps, it has to zoom and pan the views, but unlike Google Maps, it suffers from performance problems.
Is there a general or technical discussion somewhere about the architecture and design of the Google Maps rendering engine? I'd love to get some ideas from how Google Maps is implemented.
Cheers!
