I have an extensive maintenence plan on one sql server 2008 instance that I wish to move to 4 other instances. What is the best way to do this other than rebuilding it on each server?
Thanks

You could try connecting to integration services on the server, expand msdb, maintenance plans and export the plan.

I need a online website to test MySQL statements (some sort of sandbox). Bonus points if you can store code and share it with other people. Something similar to jsfiddle.net for JavaScript. It allows code testing in a safe secure environment.
Theres an sql formatting tool that also reports syntax errors:

I am developing client server application using ASP.NET together with MySQL. This solution will be hosted using VPS and of course I will install MySQL in VPS.
This web based application is a customized solution based on my customer requirements and I have no idea whether I can use MySQL community edition or I have to pay?
Thanks in advanced.
The question (and the answer) does not apply to MySQL only, but to all GPL-licenced software.
There is nothing to pay to use a piece of GPL software. MySQL Community edition is licensed under the GPL-v2 licence.

I have a few questions regarding MySQL server running under Windows Server 2008 R2.
1) How do I check the number of allowed connections?
2) How do I turn on query logging to see performance of queries executed?
3) As I understand MySQL is multithreaded, will increasing the number of allowed connections increase performance on a Quad Core system?
4) Will having a cluster setup increase performance?
5) How can I setup load shedding with multiple MySQL servers in a cluster?
Thanks
So in the end I moved the question and I got a brilliant answer on that side.

I want to create a website in JSP and the database will be MySQL. I will host the website on the internet. Is it required to obtain any licence to develop them on my machine?
As http://mysql.com/products/ states, MySQL database has 4 editions.
For development it is enough to use community edition, which is distributed under GPL license, which is open-source license.
You don't need anything.
No it'f free if you don't intend to sell the product including the mysql database software. Found here.

I was wondering if there is any tool which would help me transfer changes form one database to another. Currently every time I want to deploy new version for tests I have to manually execute all database changes scripts and transfer them to every other database. Is there any way to somehow automate this process ? If it matters , the project is being written in c# and database is MySql
If you are looking for a GUI application then Navicat Premium can help you achieve this just. It has data sync tool and transfer tool and can also work with all major databases. Only problem is that its not free.
