Does GTK kill CSS and HTML? - html

I have heard that GTK covers all controls so that developers do not care about CSS and HTML any more. Do you guys agree with this idea?

Actually, GTK is not a web toolkit (if we're talking about the same GTK), so it doesn't conflict with CSS and HTML in any way, so developers who did care about CSS and HTML still do and those who do not, didn't care before GTK either.

FWIW, there's a lot of discussion on the gtk-devel mailing list about using CSS for GTK theming.

Are CSS and html preinstalled on windows 10? If not, how do I install them

I want to know, how I install html and CSS on windows 10. I can't find any tutorials on yt or google.
I'm beginning to think they are already preinstalled, I just want to make sure.
Thanks for the help :)
HTML and CSS are both directly compiled in the browser itself. So it doesn't matter what version of windows you have. What you need is a web browser, like Chrome, Mozilla and Safari that supports HTML and CSS.
HTML & CSS are not languages computed by a computer, they are used in browsers. Every browser supports them but to different levels. If you want a HTML/CSS editor try VS Code, free and lightweight but fast as anything
They are not "installed" in a computer. They are processed by any browser. If you have unclear what are they just follow this little explanation.
There are three main languages used to build a website:
HTML: is a markup language used to create the skeleton of a layout.
CSS: is a stylesheet language that describes the style of the elements in the web page.
JavaScript: is a programming language in charge of making a website interactive, managing the user interaction with the layout components.

Recommendations for good html & css editors? (Web Application)

Is there any good html & css editors in a web application? And I don't mean those like dreamweaver and eclipse. I mean like those editors stackoverflow uses when asking a question. I tried find for html editor online, but most of the editors don't support css. Does anyone know any good ones? Preferably to be used for Ruby-on-Rails! :)
I only use it in one place, but CKeditor has been pretty good. It integrates well with RailsAdmin, which is what I use it for. Look for the ckeditor gem.
You can use https://github.com/Nerian/bootstrap-wysihtml5-rails
I truly love TinyMCE. It's the editor that ships with WordPress, but it can be installed by itself. It is highly configurable, supports css, and is quite powerful.
There are two versions, a javascript version and a jquery version, so it can be installed with any server technology, but there is also a TinyMCE gem for rails.

How to use html and/or css in winform design?

i want to ask you one question.
it can be seemed stupid.
but it is interesting for me.
is there any methods to use html and/or css to design windows application forms.
There is a technology called WPF(Windows Presentation Foundation) in .NET platform, that uses a mark up language called XAML(instead of HTML) for mark up and an styling mechanism like css.but not exactly same as the html and css.
You can use resource files to handle your resource in winforms but real answer would be
No there isn't, But its a good idea that's what motivated to develop WPF.

Is there any HTML code example which has all the tags?

I am trying to catch HTML as fast as possible. This sounds bit funny, but I have to. I went through few videos and w3school. Now I want to see how these all HTML tags are used practically. Is there any code example which covers all the HTML tags?
Edit: Firebug Firefox add-on is most useful tool to see all the magic of HTML/CSS/JS. It's powerful. Highly recommended for anyone interested in Web Development.

Is this possible with HTML5?

I have a client who wants a none flash website very similar to the following template:
http://www.templatemonster.com/flash-templates/34056.html
I am always willing to learn, but I want to know first of all if this would be possible to create in HTML5. I realize this would only work on latest versions of IE, Firefox or Chrome.
Thanks guys!
Creating such a website with all the flashy effects and transitions can be a real pain for beginners. In this case you would have to deal with either CSS3 transitions or javascript (jquery) and do a lot of extra work, just to get that special effect.
To get you started with HTML5, have a look at Dive into HTML5
If you want a good backwards compatibility for html5 features, have a look at: http://afarkas.github.com/webshim/demos/ or http://html5boilerplate.com/
Yes it is possible. Everything on that page can be done with HTML5/CSS3/Javascript. Though some of it more easily than other parts.
Yes, html5, javascript, jquery, css3 are your best friends. Check http://processingjs.org/ for a very powerful canvas lib. They've just released their 1.3.0 version.

I've seen entire games developed with <canvas> element. I think this is doable, albeit a fair amount of work. But do promise to leave the annoying guitar riffs out... :)
Some combination of:
http://flowplayer.org/tools/demos/overlay/multiple.html (click "open all")
and the shaking effect from:
http://jqueryui.com/demos/effect/
Would be pretty similar. If you're going to be learning HTML5 from scratch, make use of JQuery - a lot of people that have been doing this a lot longer have already tackled a lot of the common requests.
there is a flash-like tool from HTML5 called Hype .... check this video
