to Delete item at runtime - actionscript-3

I have created some shapes dynamically at run time by mouse drag, Now i want to delete any selected item the white board.How can i achieve that.
Currently i am able to delete the last drawn item through "removeChild()" method, but not the previous items.
Please help.
Thanks in advance.

Luckily i got my answer very soon.
To delete multiple items at run time i've assign the ids to them dyanimically and the done the following:
parentComponent.removeChild(parent.getChildByName("itemName"));
before trying this i was doing
parentComponent.removeChild(item);
Cheers !!!

I have 2 questions.
1. I keep getting signal SIGABRT and I don't know the issue. There questions didn't help. Project below!
2. When I get data from a website(mine) how would I display it in my table? Thanks.

The issue you get is when something isn't hooked up properly, like an outlet. Do you have some sort of outlet that you're not 100% sure works? If so, delete and add it again. Also something that I do a lot when I get this issue is to right click(two finger click) on the yellow circle on your view controller. Then if there's a yellow triangle, I click on the x and delete it. That fixes it for me.

Selecting/highlighting next adjacent cell in row after function has been executed in google script

I am not really experienced with coding so I apologize in advance if this is a stupid question with an obvious answer...
I use a google sheet to keep track of things at work, and my employees use it multiple times a day. They will either type one of three phrases into a certain cell on a row, so I have created buttons using the drawing feature that they can simply click, which will insert the appropriate text into the highlighted cell.
Once this text is inserted into the cell, I would like to add something to the end of the function that automatically selects the next adjacent cell in the row (to the right) so they can continue typing in. Currently, once they click the button to insert text into one cell (e.g., B23) they have to use the mouse to manually select C23 before typing into that cell. For some reason you cannot use the right arrow key or tab key on the keyboard to move over, so I am wondering if there is a way to add the selecting process into the script (or even a workaround for allowing the tab or right arrow keys to work).
I realize this may seem like a tedious question and folks may think it is awfully lazy of me to ask for a more efficient way to move over to a cell than using the mouse, but my employees use the sheet hundreds of times a day, so I'd really like to maximize the efficiency for them to make it as easy and convenient as possible. Inputting data can be tedious enough, so I am trying to simplify things and make it as least painful as possible :)
Thanks so much!
There are several ways to select the cell at the right. One way is to use offset(rowOffset,columnOffset):
range.offset(0,1)
You are correct. When using a button the focus stays in the button when it is clicked. After some trial and error, I think I found a way that will work fot you. I created a html sidebar that is opened from a custom menu. Once opened, you can leave it opened, HTML allows control over the focus using 'google.script.host.editor.focus()'. Then you can type in the cell. Attached is my sample spreadsheet you can copy and try. Let me know if you need any help changing the button names or text. Sorry my first try didn't work correctly. https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1KlNSJnZDNIb2chUK3SlKJg79VNIrsAbIbUvHyLwTLWk/edit?usp=sharing

Visual Studio 2013 LightSwitch HTML Cascading Dropdowns

I'm currently helping a small team create a HTML LightSwitch business app that has a tier of 4 Cascading dropdowns. These drop downs are linked together just as the common example of when you select your state it filters to cities only in that state. However, the issue that we have run into is that upon changing one of the parent boxes the child box doesn't reset or revert to a blank state. How would it be possible to accomplish, if possible, the clearing the child boxes upon parent change. Im pretty sure we need an OnChange event handler but I'm not sure where to put this in LightSwitch because it creates the code for you.
Any idea's or code snippets that are able to fix this problem would be appreciated.
Thank you in advance for the help,
Jeremy
I think you need a change listener event on page created method screen.addChangeListener("DropDown1",DropDown1Changed);
function DropDown1Changed(e){
screen.findContentItem("DropDown2").value ="";
screen.findContentItem("DropDown3").value ="";
};
I havent tested this code. But, something similar to this should work. This should give you general idea about the solution.
Dont forget to remove the listener.
Use pop-ups based on Queries instead of drop-downs. Make the parameters for your queries optional where necessary. LightSwitch will then update the page definition as selections are made. This is because the binding of the popup data values is done at run-time, whereas the binding for controls rendered when the page loads is static.
Michael Washington gives a pretty good summary of the technique in this article.

Multiselect select element - capturing current option set before adding / removing new items

Hello and thank you for reading.
I have an aspx form hosted in SharePoint 2010 that has some multiple select elements within a form. There are buttons to add and remove options from these select elements.
My problem is that I need to run a query based on the options within these multi select elements each time new options are added / removed from them. SharePoint is executing some server side code I don't have access to but here's my underlying problem.
If I hook into the buttons' onclick event, when my function is called the options have already been added to or removed from the select element. I need to capture the current option set of these elements, before the onclick function executes.
Is there another event I can tie into? Something like onbeforeclick on the buttons or optionsChanged on the multi select element? It doesn't look like any event will satisfy what I need to do here, but I'm hoping someone has faced a similar issue before.
Thanks,
Zachary Carter
The only solution I could come up with is to capture the present set of options each time an option is added or removed.
This solution is going to involve alot of array manipulation however, and if I can avoid that and simply tie into an event, before the onclick event of the button is called, that would be my ideal solution.
This might not be a great answer to your question, and if not, I apologize. However, I just ran into a very similar problem, albeit using Visual Basic. The solution wasn't elegant in my eyes, but I used VB's MouseUp event, which fires when the mouse button is released. On release (i.e., at the end of the previous action), I save all the information in the elements into an array, and then on the next click, before anything else happens, I can check against that array.
Edit: Gah, looks like you posted essentially that solution while I was typing. Sorry I didn't notice.
