Keyboard Shortcut in Access 2003 - ms-access

Is there a keyboard shortcut in Access 2003 that will run a query while in design or sql mode?

Sendkeys is always a mistake because almost nothing in Access not doable via code.
The correct code is:
DoCmd.RunCommand acCmdRun
How you run that code is up to you, but it's definitely preferable to SendKeys.

It's not built-in. I would try a macro - AutoKeys? You should be able to make almost any keyboard short you want that way.

I used a combination of the answers writing a little function that is called from the AutoKeys macro like so:
Public Function RunMyQuery() As Boolean
SendKeys "%Q" & "R"
RunMyQuery = True
End Function
Thanks!

Ctrl+, and Ctrl+. will let MS Access cycle left and right through the query views Design, Datasheet, SQL, PivotTable, PivotChart.
Otherwise, you can right click on the "Run" exclamation mark and select customize, then with that customize window open, you can right click on the "Run" exclamation mark again, select "Image and Text" to show the word Run. As long as the word is shown, you can use Alt+Shift+R to activate that button based on the underlined capital R. If you right click on the "Run" exclamation mark again and select properties, you can change the capital R to a lowercase r so that the SHIFT key isn't needed and the shortcut simply becomes Alt+R.

This function isn't built in, but you can set it up so you can press the F5 function key to run the query.
Create a new macro.
Use the menu, View > Macro Names to add the "Macro Names" column to the grid if it's not already showing.
Type this in the "Macro Names" column: {F5}
In the "Action" column, scroll down and select "RunCommand."
The bottom half of the window pane is "Action Arguments." For "Command," scroll down and select "Run."
Save the macro as AutoKeys.
Close the macro.
Open a saved query in design view or sql view.
Press the function key, F5, to run the query.

Keyboard shortcut to run a query:
Press (don't hold down) Alt then tap v then tap s
Keyboard shortcut to return to query view:
Press Alt then tap v then tap q

Does Alt Q Alt R (ie menu item selection) not suit?

Not sure what resemblance this bears to the same issue in Windows 2007 but FWIW, I fixed it there by doing the following:
Right click the Run button
Select "Customize Quick Access Toolbar"
In the dialog that appears, select "Query Tools | Design Tab" from the drop-down list on the left. The options in the list box on the left will change to reflect the selection.
In the list box on the left, select "Run" and click "Add >>". "Run" should be added to the list on the right.
Click Okay.
Now you can run your SQL using Alt+4.

Though not a keyboard shortcut, it is also possible to add the button to the quick Access toolbar for easy access regardless what tab you are own, or when the ribbon is minimized.

To paste a macro from Stack Overflow into Access

My question seems to be very silly, but I haven't found solution myself.
Is there a way to simply paste a macro (example) from Stack Overflow in Access? Or, alternatively, paste it from Access to Stack Overflow?
I know, it is very easy in Word and Excel. But I can't understand how to do it in Access.
Basic questions certainly deserve asking, if they're not duplicates.
There are a couple of different cases:
Add VBA on a form event (this case)
Open up the form in design view
Identify the control you want to add the macro to (the part before the _ is the control name, the part after the _ is the event name, so the KeyDown event on the form control.
Identify the event you want to add code to on the event pane
Press the builder ... thing
Choose Code Builder and press OK.
You will see some event code has already been added. Replace that with the copy-pasted code.
Add VBA (function or sub) outside of a form (triggered elsewhere, such as a user-defined function for use in queries)
Open up the VBA editor by hitting Alt + F11
Choose Insert -> Module in the top bar
Paste the code
Paste a normal, non-VBA macro using AXL
Create a macro on the create tab on the ribbon
Select the body of the macro by clicking the blank space inside it (not the area where you can create new controls)
Hit Ctrl + V to paste
Paste an Access data macro using AXL
Open the table you want to add the data macro to in design view.
In the ribbon, click Create data macros, choose and click the right event. You can identify the event by looking at the event property of the datamacro tag, for example <DataMacro Event="AfterInsert"> = On After Insert
Select the body of the macro by clicking the blank space inside it (not the area where you can create new controls)
Hit Ctrl + V to paste
Note that questions about non-VBA macros rarely contain the AXL necessary to paste it. Pasting AXL is somewhat contra-intuitive, as you don't paste it in a textbox and the result isn't text.

How do I make a form in Access become a Pop-up Window?

I am looking to make the forms I have in Access pop-up forms. I have a picture of what I want (the picture is from a different file)
and this is what I have
As far as I can tell, there is no difference in the Macros, the settings, and the VBA code between the two files. How do I make my forms pop out like the one pictured?
Thanks!
Did you tried DoCmd.OpenForm "YouFormName", , , , , acDialog
EDIT
If you want to define your form permanent as pop up just goto you form properties -> Other > and set there the PopUp to "Yes"
You need to change the default window view of the database.
Go to File ¬ Options and select the "Current Database" option on the left side.
In that option list there is a section under Application Options that says "Document Window Options"
Select Overlapping Windows instead of Tabbed Documents.
2016 Microsoft Access (as of 2020)
Normal Navigation
Method 1: File > Options (Access Option Window Pop-up) > Left Column Toolbar: Current database navigation > Document Window Options > Select Overlapping Windows
Alt Key Shortcuts
Fast Method 2: Alt + F > Alt+ T > Press Alt + O

How to make a button in ssrs

There is a report contains 1000s of pages of data.Is there any way to make a button on the first page of the report so that ,if click on the button it goes to the end of the pages.
Is there any expression to be written, with out writing the vb.net code?
There is a button like that in SSRS (you can also type page number in the box and press enter):
EDIT:
You can add a bookmark at the end of your report and then make a textbox which will jump to it (textbox properties->Action->mark "go to bookmark" and select the bookmark you made. I am not sure, however, if it works well in excel.
Web viewer control, this button already exists.
I don't believe you can add a button to SSRS and export to Excel to go to last row.
You can use Excel command to go to last cell which should work.
Refer to [http://office.microsoft.com/en-ca/excel-help/excel-shortcut-and-function-keys-HP010073848.aspx][1]
CTRL+G
Displays the Go To dialog box.
F5 also displays this dialog box.
Click on "Special..." button and select "Last Cell" option and click OK
Sorry .. Tried posting images for you but not enough points to do so.
There are 2 ways of reaching the last page or the data on the last page:
Sol 1. #kyooryu has already mentioned above in his solution along with a screenshot.
Sol 2. You can freeze the header and set the display result to show the data on a single page. This way you will not have multiple pages and you can directly hit the end button from keyboard on the report manager to reach the bottom result set. Freezing the header will help you in identifying the column names.

Viewing SSRS Report in Report Manager With Keyboard Only

We have a requirement where user have no pointing device, user must use SSRS report manager to view report with keyboard only, but I am unable to select values for a multi-valued parameters, I managed to pop up the list, but when I press tab, focus moves to next parameters instead of going into the list of multi-valued parameter.
I tried many different keyboard combinations, but none is working. Also checked for any option on parameter itself, but did not find anything.
Is there anything I can do to resolve this problem.
This is a question you dont hear every day - I presume this is for accessability reasons?
I think you are at the mercy of your browser here. The following seems to work on IE9:
tab to the drop-down arrow and press space to drop down the list
press shift-tab then tab - this should get you to the (Select All) row.
use tab and shift-tab to scroll up and down the list
use space to select / unselect each row in the list
use tab or shift-tab to scroll off the end of the list
note your focus is now on the Show/Hide Parameters button (odd). You can tab or shift-tab from there to the next parameter.

PHPStorm - Find and Replace Text in Selection?

In most other editors, I can select a portion of the text I want to run find and replace on and then hit the ctrl + h combination. A screen pops up asking me what to find and what to replace. How do I do this in PHPStorm?
If you are using the Default keymapping (you can also use the keymaps for Eclipse, Visual Studio, etc) press Ctrl+r to show the Replace Toolbar. If you already have a selection then the option In Selection will already be checked, otherwise you can check it and then do your selection (if you select first and check the option second it will unselect the text after checking the option).
The feature is called Replace in the Keymap configuration if you wish to change the shortcut.
You can also press Shift+F6 to directly rename variables if that's what you want to do.
Highlight the code selection you wish to work on
( you can use alt + arrow up if your looking for a cool way to do that)
Press Ctlr + r on PC or Command + r on a Mac
In the upper options window, insert the values you wish to replace
Select the "in selection" check box
Press Replace/Replace all button
