Possible to change a datasource property in Power App dynamically? - powerapps-canvas

I'm trying to work through a proof of concept app that needs to talk to a 3rd party API. The initial step is to get a token from the 3rd party, which I've done by creating a custom connection which uses no security. Once I get the token, I need to make additional queries to this 3rd party API, each of which will require the token being passed. So, I've created a second custom connector which uses API KEY for security. When I manually create a new connection for this 2nd custom connector, I'm prompted for the token and everything runs as expected. So I've now added both custom connectors to my canvas Power App, get the token I need from first custom connector in the app's OnStart event. I'd now like to try to change the connector properties for the second custom connector to use the dynamically generated token.
Is this possible? If not, is there another approach I should be pursuing?

Trigger for status update to send a patch method in Azure DevOps

Have been working on the integration between Azure DevOps Services and ServiceNow. Our goal is to send Change Requests from ServiceNow to Azure DevOps, where they would become Features or User Stories. Whenever there is some update on Azure DevOps, that update should be sent to ServiceNow, and vice versa.
The idea is to work with REST API.
From our investigation, we have found that it is possible to send updates to other applications through Web Hooks. We are still not sure if this will suite our needs and if we are able to work with this. The problem is that the webhooks only support the HTTP method POST while Service Now requests PATCH to update on it’s side. Is this correct is there any way of creating webhooks with PATCH method?
Other way that we can integrate is to create some software that will send response needed. However, we cannot seem to find a way to automate this response. As I understood, it will generate response only when the script run, not when work item is updated. Is there any way to trigger the sending of a json file with all information within the work item whenever the work item state is updated?

I am not sure if it is possible to trigger that.
But there is a ServiceNow DevOps extension for the integration between Azure Devops and Snow. You may use that.

Is it possible to build web Api application using dotnet core, MySQL with Authentication and Authorization?

I am trying to work out an application using

Entity Framework
Ubuntu 16 machine
I have succeeded in creating a sample API to fetch data from MySQL database using entity framework. Now I want to introduce Authentication using email as username and Password.
I tried several method from different blogs but unable to achieve this.
What I am trying to achieve is Custom Authentication for the api where user will send username and password to login Api. The login Api will return an access token and refresh token. Using this access token, the user can call other APIs.
Later on I want to add Google and Facebook Authentication too.
Is there a way to do this?
Everything you want to achieve is possible. However there are some caveats.
Yes you can do this. You will need to use the resource owner grant which is turned off in identityserver 4 by default. I suspect the reason for this is because passing user credentials into an application is an anti-pattern, it is there to typically support legacy systems, also it does not authenticate users in the explicit sense because the credentials could come from an un-trusted source (as an example). You can read up about the grant's generic value here. You can find samples here.
The safer pattern is to use something like Implicit Flow which is good practice if you cannot guarantee trust between clients and your API.
As for social logins this is possible. There are tonnes of samples online but here are the official docs.
There is a project on github, https://github.com/diogodamiani/IdentityServer4.MongoDB and a corresponding nuget package that will send you in the right direction. It's obviously MongoDb, but the same premise applies.

Which authentication can be used for managing Box users through REST end points

I am working on an Identity management application, using which my goal is to manage users on Box application.
I was going through Box documentation, and there are two ways for authentication
OAuth 2.0, which has redirection URI as required parameter. And due to which I cannot make use of it, since I will not be able to enter username and password and Authorize dynamically using my Java code.

JWT authentication, this I can use in my code and successfully get Access token. But problem here is, this access token can only be used to manage App Users (who will not have login to Box website).

So, is there any other authentication mechanism which I can use for getting Access token for managing Box users?

The current best option is #1 with a process like this:
Create a Box application with the 'Manage an Enterprise' scope enabled.
Use a web-based access token generator (such as this or this) to get an initial access/refresh token pair. Save these somewhere safe (flat file, DB).
Code your application to initialize itself with the access/refresh token pair from its saved location.
When the access/refresh token pair is refreshed, write them out to the save location.
If your application runs across multiple nodes/processes this approach will require some (painful) coordination between them. I believe Box is working on some improvements in this area, so you may not have to live with this for long.

OAuth for Enterprise account

I'm creating a web app for my company that will keep a number of files in sync with the files on Box. This will be done by using a cron job running every hour.
I have the application working by setting the developer token in my account, this was done for testing whilst I was building the application.
Now this is working I want to get the authentication working so I can just leaving this running. So I'm trying to work out if there is a way I can have an API key for our enterprise account or if I will have to implement OAuth and connect one user to the application, which seems to be a bit overkill?
You should probably use one of the SDKs, which take care of refreshing the tokens for you.
Essentially what you'll need is a keystore to store the tokens. You could store the Refresh-token only. When your cron wakes up, use the refresh token to get a new access-token and refresh-token. Store the new refresh token in your keystore. Then make your API calls using the Access-token, and then go back to sleep.

Is it possible to capture an outgoing http call from an ActionScript (Flex) module?

I'm trying to develop a test framework for some ActionScript code we're developing (Flex 3.5). What's happening is this:
As part of a Web Analytics function we are calling a track method in a class, providing the relevant information as part of the call. This method is provided in a library (SWC), and we have no access to the code.
Ultimately the track method sends an outgoing http request to the tracking server. We can see this quite happily in HttpFox.
I was hoping to be able to capture this outgoing request and interrogate it in my test class, allowing us to a) run tests in a more standalone fashion, and b) programmatically determine that the correct information is being tracked.
No problem just run this developer tool that displays all requests leaving your machine.

Unless you're going to use a sniffing tool, which probably would be hard to use for a programmatic evaluation, I would recommend using a proxy to channel your request. You could let the track method send the request to a php script on the proxy server, have it evaluate the request content, and then forward it to the actual tracking server. I suppose on a tracking system, you won't need to worry about the response, so it shouldn't be too hard to implement.
You could run a web server on a localhost (or any really) and just make sure the DNS entry the code is trying to access points to the server you are running.
