I want to save a plotly graph as webpage in HTML. But then I get this message.
I click yes and let R install this package. After 46 seconds, I get the message that the installation has succeeded, however I see a lot of red warning messages. These are the last few lines:
The downloaded source packages are in
'C:\Users\***\AppData\Local\Temp\RtmpysVdFP\downloaded_packages'

For example I can't find the folder (RtmpysVdFP) where the source packages are supposed to be in.
If I want to save the plot again as a webpage, it gives me again the message to install r markdown package.
How can I solve this?

I'm trying to test Wazuh configuration related to half-configured packages. So, I'm trying to create a .deb package that will end up half configured when installed.
I started by following these instructions for creating a dirt-simple, do-nothing package.
I tried changing the exit code of debian/postinst.ex to 1, but the package installed successfully anyway.
I tried adding a non-existing file to debian/conffiles, but debuild failed.
I've also searched all over for information on the things that can cause a package to be left half configured, without any luck.
Thanks!
First of all, I want to mention that there are two different status for failed installed packages:
half-configured: The package is unpacked and configuration has been started, but not yet completed for some reason.
half-installed: The installation of the package has been started, but not completed for some reason.
Source: https://www.man7.org/linux/man-pages/man1/dpkg.1.html
If you want a half-configured package, then the package must be unpackaged and it is the configuration step the one that should fail.
Now, if you follow the guide you shared with us, you may have missed the part where it says that the *.ex files are examples and are not introduced in the package so if you're modifying the file postinst.ex, these changes will no take effect.
You can remove all the *.ex files and create your own postinst file. For example I've used this one:
root#ubuntu:/tmp/build/greetings-0.1# cat debian/postinst
#!/bin/sh
# postinst script for greetings
#
# see: dh_installdeb(1)
set -e
case "$1" in
configure)
echo "configuring..."
sleep 1
echo "..."
sleep 2
echo "ERROR!"
exit 1
;;
abort-upgrade|abort-remove|abort-deconfigure)
;;
*)
echo "postinst called with unknown argument \`$1'" >&2
exit 1
;;
esac
# dh_installdeb will replace this with shell code automatically
# generated by other debhelper scripts.
#DEBHELPER#
exit 0
Using this file (with the correct name), your code will be executed after the package installation. And you will get something like this:
root#ubuntu:/tmp/build# apt-get install ./greetings_0.1-1_all.deb

I am new to Octave, coming from Matlab. I am trying to install a few packages, and so far none has worked. I have tried the download method from forge, then running the install command. But my question is about my latest attempt. There it is:

Couldn't find any documentation on it, I am a bit lost.... (oh and btw, I can't find the config.log file! where is that gem?)
I am on MacOS catalina 10.15.7, and just followed that procedure https://flaviocopes.com/fix-xcrun-error-invalid-active-developer-path/, which solved the issues I had before which is described on that page.
cheers for any help
The error:

basically says it's failing to save to that file. Probably a permissions issue. Check if the file /Applications/Octave-4.4.1.app/Contents/Resources/usr/Cellar/octave-octave-app#4.4.1/4.4.1/share/octave/octave_packages exists and its permissions. That file is a database of all packages installed globally, i.e., for all users in the system.
Fixing the permission issues is dependent on what is the permissions issue you have (probably you need to run octave as root to install a global package). But maybe try to install the package for your user only, i.e., install the package without the -global flag, like so:
pkg install -forge io

I tried updating Cabal, ghc-pkg recache, and as another answer on SO suggested, setting library-profiling to False (in ~/.cabal/config). None of them are working.
Any idea what I can do to install this package? Earlier I have installed other packages using cabal install successfully.
Thanks!
EDIT
As ErirR suggested in his answer, I ran ghc-pkg list and this is the output I got. I don't appear to be having multiple installs of parsec.

I would run ghc-pkg list and see if you have multiple installs of the parsec package.

solve this error in magento code.
this is the code , at return line its showing error.

if (!empty($this->unprocessableHtmlTags)) { $unprocessableHtmlTags = implode('|', $this->unprocessableHtmlTags); $bodyWithoutUnprocessableTags = preg_replace('/<\\/?(' . $unprocessableHtmlTags . ')[^>]*>/i', '', $this->html); } else { $bodyWithoutUnprocessableTags = $this->html; }
return mb_convert_encoding($bodyWithoutUnprocessableTags, 'HTML-ENTITIES', self::ENCODING);
}
It looks like you are missing a PHP extension mbstring.
Install it and the error will be rectified.
Ubuntu/Debian
sudo apt-get install php-mbstring
In case you are using PHP 7.x.
sudo apt-get install php7.0-mbstring
For Centos
sudo yum install php-mbstring
I'm updating this thread with the instructions for GoDaddy hosted servers, as I went through a painful day trying to get this resolved. The mbstring extension is used by Magento (I needed it for 1.9) and without it installed, the checkout process will fail, with the shopping cart failing to take the user to the 'Thanks for your order screen' (although the order is sometimes created on the back-end successfully). It was also creating an issue when hitting the 'Send Email' button on the Admin panel on an Order, producing a 500 error.
In my log files, I was seeing the following error:
PHP Fatal error: Call to undefined function mb_convert_encoding() in
/home/yoursite/public_html/lib/Pelago/Emogrifier.php on line 556
Searching for this error gave results that suggested I needed to enable the mbstring extension on the server, but with a GoDaddy hosted virtual server, I ran into a wall of frustration with the package not being found via the php install search, and their tech support unable to assist. Here are the instructions for the current WHM panel (Jan 2019):
Login to your server WHM as root.
Search EasyApache or go to the Software menu on the left and select 'EasyApache 4'.
You will see a list of profiles and at the top of the list, 'Currently Installed Packages'. Select the 'Customize' button.
Select the 'PHP Extensions' link or keep hitting 'Next' until you reach the page.
In the search box, type 'string', you will see 'php56-php-mbstring' and 'php70-php-mbstring'; move the grey slider on the right to install each.
Continue to the 'Review' tab. Here you can simply hit 'Provision' to install the extension. You can also save these options as a custom profile if you'd like.
After the build has completed, the extension should be available on all your domains.
Hopefully this will save someone some time trying to figure this out!
I am trying to run the MIT project CryptoDB. I have downloaded it and I have followed the instructions to compile as it is explained in the included instructions, for mysql-proxy and mysql version 5.5.14. I am using a RedHat Enterprise 6 server.
When I get to the point of running the make command i get this error:

I am quite lost as I cannot find if there is a missing library or any kind of incompatbility on what I am using. Any ideas?
Even i have not finished installation now I now that the problem comes from not having the last version of the code. By getting it with the following command:
git clone -b public git://g.csail.mit.edu/cryptdb
I get to execute an instalation script in ruby that performs the work.
The script is not writen especifically for Redhat, so I am having some work adapting some commands (apt-get => yum).
