NET::ERR_CERT_COMMON_NAME_INVALID
I got this error in the mini app I am working for. In chrome, I can click Advanced button and proceed, then I can bypass this error. However, I could not find the proceed button in Edge, where I can find this button? Please kindly note that this only happened for the testing environments in the company.

I uninstalled google chrome on my windows 10 today just to install a newer version and when I reinstalled it and tried to log back into my Google account to have access the my bookmarks and ..., I got this error:
"can't sync to ...#gmail.com, request canceled"
I tried Loging into different google accounts and the same error was displayed for all of them, tried disabling "Allow Chrome sign-in" in settings and even uninstalled and reinstalled different versions of google chrome many times but the error keeps showing up.
Welcome to StackOverflow!
Try to force Chrome to sync.
Open the browser and in the address bar, type in
chrome://settings/
Stop the sync by clicking the 'Turn Off' button.
Make sure the 'Clear Bookmarks...' box is checked and click 'Turn Off'.
Close the browser and reopen it.
Again, type in
chrome://settings/
and turn on sync again.
Hopefully this helps.

Just incase this helps anyone else it turns out this was a proxy issue and just had to allow localhost:8888 to 'Bypass proxy settings for these Hosts & Domains' just enter localhost:8888 into the text box!
I have met the same problem when I developed a web project with struts.
If you are using proxy(Global Mode) to search API on the Internet in Chrome. You should turn "Global Mode" to "Auto Proxy Mode" to deal with it.
I am trying to run UI tests on Selenium. The website runs on SSL. When using Chromedriver, after login, the page keeps on loading and shows "Establishing secure connection" and then eventually times out. Chrome also shows the yellow triangle before the URL in the browser. However, I don't see the yellow triangle when I log into the website using Chrome outside of this. I further noticed that the standard settings in Chrome are not the same as the Chrome instance that opens up when Chromedriver fires it, not sure why.
Can someone tell me what might be going on here and how I can fix the issue?
It may be chromedriver issue. Try to downgrade it. Version 2.12 helped us with similar problem.

My Google Chrome has stopped working & I don’t know why. proxy server part is unchecked & Automatically detect settings part of LAN setting is checked.
But when I want to load any site on it this message appear:
Proxy server connection failed.
I searched but no result! Is there any way to solve this problem?
I'm using windows 8.
I uninstalled chrome and Install a newer version, but the same error exists & doesn't allow me to use chrome.
my connection to Internet is OK & I can ping www.google.com, or use other browsers.
Try following these steps:
Run Chrome as Administrator.
Go to the settings in Chrome.
Go to Advanced Settings (its all the way down).
Scroll to Network Section and click on ''Change proxy settings''.
A window will pop up with the name ''Internet Properties''
Click on ''LAN settings''
Un-check ''Use a proxy server for your LAN''
Check ''Automatically detect settings''
Click everything ''OK'' and you are done!
Open Google Chrome.
Click Menu on the upper right side. Beside the STAR symbol (Bookmark).
Click Show Advanced Settings.
Scroll down and find Network.
Click Change proxy settings.
On the Connections tab, click LAN settings.
Uncheck "Use a proxy server for your LAN."
Then click OK.
Hope it helps .
I had the same problem with a freshly installed copy of Chrome.
If nothing works, and your Use a proxy server your LAN setting is unchecked, check it and then uncheck it . Believe it or not it might work. I don't know if I should consider it a bug or not.
Internet explorer has a reset to factory button and luckily so does chrome! try the link below and let us know. the other option is to stop chrome and delete the c:\users\%username%\appdata\local\google folder entirely then reinstall chrome but this will loose all you local settings and data.
Google doc on how to factory reset:
