Mysql select earliest matching common date for multiple conditions - mysql

I have a table like the following.
id
dept_id
category_id
event_id
event_date
1
1
75
95
2022-07-11
2
1
75
96
2022-07-09
3
1
75
95
2022-07-12
4
1
75
96
2022-07-12
5
1
75
95
2022-07-13
6
1
75
96
2022-07-13
I need to look for the earliest common event_date for both event_id matches 95 and 96 & category_id matches 75.
The result should be 2022-07-12 according to the table.
How could I achieve this in a single query ?
Thanks in advance.

Find lowest value from the rows which contains similar foreign key value

Table:
pk fk price
1 1 23
2 1 12
3 1 3
4 2 53
5 2 75
6 3 95
7 3 113
8 3 63
9 3 73
10 3 93
11 4 113
11 4 150
11 4 105
In the above table:
How to find out the lowest price based on it's common fk value. For example: lowest price for fk=1 is 3, for fk=2 is 53, for fk=3 is 63 and for fk=4 is 105.
I want a single SQL statement which could find lowest price for each common fk value.
You just want a basic aggregate per group.
select fk, min(price)
from your_table
group by fk;

how to group results according to a timestamp interval

I have a table that holds timestamped messages from a sender to a receiver, and it looks like:
mes timestamp sender receiver
10 2014-04-13 12:22:25.000 1 72
10 2014-04-13 12:22:25.000 1 91
10 2014-04-13 12:22:25.000 1 58
16 2014-02-20 20:09:06.000 3 35
16 2014-02-20 20:09:06.000 3 54
17 2014-03-05 14:55:28.000 1 65
18 2014-03-07 14:55:28.000 2 97
19 2014-03-09 14:55:28.000 2 97
My table holds 3 millions rows like these, and I am trying to group results according to timestamp intervals, counting the number of messages in each month between each pair of sender-receiver. Something like:
timestamp sender receiver count
2014-04 1 72 1
2014-04 1 91 1
2014-04 1 58 1
2014-02 3 35 1
2014-02 3 54 1
2014-03 1 65 1
2014-03 2 97 2
I really have no clue how to specify my clause in mysql, so I apologize for not providing a snippet of my not-working code... should I use something as a switch control and manually specify the time interval? or is there something more specific in mysql to manage tasks like this?
This is fairly straight-forward GROUP BY with multiple levels:
SELECT CONCAT(YEAR(tstamp),'-',MONTH(tstamp)) as tstamp, sender, receiver, COUNT(*) AS cnt
FROM yourtable
GROUP BY YEAR(tstamp), MONTH(tstamp),sender,receiver;
I'm using tstamp as field name for "timestamp" to avoid conflicting with reserved words (timestamp).

Update specific records based on some group

I am using SQL Server 2008 R2.
I am having a database table that contains some user data as given below :
Id UserId Sys Dia ReadingType DataId IsDeleted
1 10 98 65 last 1390556024216 0
2 10 99 69 average 1390556024216 0
3 10 102 96 last 1390562788540 0
4 10 102 96 average 1390562788540 0
5 11 130 98 last 1390631241547 0
6 11 130 98 average 1390631241547 0
7 2 285 199 first 1390770562374 0
8 2 250 180 last 1390770562374 0
9 2 267 189 average 1390770562374 0
10 1 258 180 first 1391191009457 0
11 1 258 180 last 1391191009457 0
12 1 258 180 average 1391191009457 0
13 1 285 199 additional 1391191009457 0
14 22 110 78 last 1391549208338 0
15 22 123 83 last 1391549208349 0
In this table, there are records that are having the same DataId but different ReadingType.
I want to set IsDeleted=1 for the records having ReadingType='last' and having a record with ReadingType='average' with the same DataId, Sys, Dia and UserId.
So the Desired result shoul be :
Id UserId Sys Dia Reading DataId IsDeleted
1 10 98 65 last 1390556024216 0
2 10 99 69 average 1390556024216 0
3 10 102 96 last 1390562788540 1
4 10 102 96 average 1390562788540 0
5 11 130 98 last 1390631241547 1
6 11 130 98 average 1390631241547 0
7 2 285 199 first 1390770562374 0
8 2 250 180 last 1390770562374 0
9 2 267 189 average 1390770562374 0
10 1 258 180 first 1391191009457 0
11 1 258 180 last 1391191009457 1
12 1 258 180 average 1391191009457 0
13 1 285 199 additional 1391191009457 0
14 22 110 78 last 1391549208338 0
15 22 123 83 last 1391549208349 0
Here the records with Id 3, 5 and 11 should be marked as deleted as they are having same UserId, Sys, Dia, DataId and ReadingType="last" with another record having ReadingType="average" with same other fields.
Can anyone help me how to find out such a records and update them?
Just use UPDATE with EXISTS subquery:
UPDATE T
SET IsDeleted=1
WHERE
ReadingType='last'
AND
EXISTS(SELECT * FROM T as T1
WHERE T1.ReadingType='average'
AND T1.DataId=T.DataId
AND T1.Sys=T.Sys
AND T1.Dia=T.Dia
AND T1.UserId=T.UserId
)
SQLFiddle demo
You Can solve many way but here i am using the sub-query to solve your problem
UPDATE TABLE SET IsDeleted=1
WHERE DataId=(SELECT DataId FROM TABEL WHERE Reading='last')

SQL many-to-many count sum

I have this table:
id_user id_user2
1 54
1 53
1 53
1 54
1 54
1 55
2 23
2 23
2 20
2 21
2 25
2 25
And i would like to count, how many each of id_user have relationship with id_user2. Output should be:
id_user id_user2 result
1 54 3
1 53 2
1 55 1
2 23 2
2 20 1
2 21 1
2 25 2
You have to use group by clause
select id_user,id_user2, count(1) as result
from userstab
group by id_user,id_user2
try this query
select id_user,id_user2,count(id_user2) as result
from TABLE_NAME group by id_user2

Is there a way to see for each prod_id how many ip numbers there excist for each shop id?
output example
1 2 3 4 5
---------------------------------------------
1 18 5 51 8 4
2 58 5 45 3 4
3 7 6 31 9 2
where horizontal is the prod_id and vertical is the shop_id
I've don this already:
select
shop_id,
count(distinct(ipadres)) amount
from table
GROUP BY shop_id
order by amount desc
but this wil give me only the result of all prod_id's combined.
I would like to have the prod_id's seperate in columns.
I hope there is a solution!
Kind Regards
Try this
select `prod_id`,shop_id,
count(distinct(ipadres)) amount
from table
GROUP BY shop_id,prod_id
order by amount desc
