How can I achieve this in Qtablewidget? - widget

I am stuck and don't know how to get this operation with Qtablewiget, I have a Qtablewidget which displays data in three columns (data is displayed on cells containing QlindEdit). At start when Qtablewidget appear, I want the very first cell (with QlineEdit) should get focus and then I can use downarrow key to move to every column cell containing QlineEdit. My QTablewidget has 10 rows and 3 columns, everycell in columns contain QlineEdit widget. I want when the focus reach to last cell of column via downarrow key, it should move to first cell of second column in tablewidget. I don't know to to achieve this.
Can anyone tell me the solution or share any example related to the solution as reference, I will be very helpful for me. I have shared screen shots of my table and the table I want to create like.
Thank you in advance!
I want to creae tablewidget like this

SSRS - Child group position / subreport?

I've got a report with parent and child groups as you can see below, which work fine.
Results look like this and as you can see column from Initiative Name to Reasons for Overall status are the same, therefore I would like to group these as well, but I can't figure it out. When I add a new child group (Milestone Name), it adds column right after the Initiative name column, which I don't want to.
The ideal results should look like this:
Could you advise me how can I achieve that, please? I've also tried to use subreport, but I wasn't able to make it work either.
Many thanks!
You should be able to add the columns to the grouping in your outer group (MissionCritical).
Once this is done you will probably (this is from memory) need to insert a row under the top row (Right-click, insert row, inside-group, below).
This will give you two rows for the outer group.
Then copy / paste the contents of each column affected (the light blue ones I guess) and paste them into the new row. You can then remove them from the details row.
This should give you what you want. If not, let me know and I'll setup a sample to demonstrate.

Create a Header Row in SSRS

I am trying to create a header row for a matrix in my SSRS report. Currently my matrix is configured as the following:
If I right+click to add a new row, it will insert a row above but I cannot merge the entire row of cells to form a single row, the grouping columns stay separate:
My work-around has been to add a text box above the matrix, but will not keep the the rows together in a page break:
Is it possible to add the header row? And if so, what would be a good way to accomplish this task?
I had the same issue! I wish they would let you merge across the row header; or add a new region of matrix called "title" .
My tablix also had dynamic columns, so I needed the width of the box on the top to expand and collapse with the rest of the table.
There are two ways you can handle it (that I know of)
1. Create a "parent" list object with two rows and insert the table in the second row
2. Put all the columns to the right of the row header
To solve my problem I tried both. First, I added the list with one column and two rows and I copied the entire table into the second row. The first row of the outer list is now centered and spans the entire table. It was messy because I had dynamic columns with a toggle for visibility. The outer list had to have columns that lined up with the visibility set to the same toggle. It was a messy work around because of that.
I decided to try the second method above and insert new columns on the other side of the row header.
The challenge is that row header group labels will repeat for each row... in your example RoleID would repeat down each detail row. I created an expression to only show when it was the first row of the group.
=iif(RowNumber("roleid_group") = 1,
max(Fields!roleID.Value,"roleid_group"),
"")
I used an expression to only show the border when it was the last row in the group:
=iif(RowNumber("roleid_group") = countrows("roleid_group"),"Solid","None")
This gives the illusion of a grouped row. Don't delete the row header columns (column 1 and 2) until you get it working because its hard to add them back.
Careful: This method though doesn't work well if the text of the row title needs to wrap. (The first row of the group will be wider --row height is set to can grow.)
If there is another way I would love to know. These are both somewhat tricky but get the job done.

How can I make a simple flow chart in SSRS?

I come to you with a question on how I can create a simple flow chart like in the pictures below in SSRS. I have a query that returns rows with events, and a date column that I can use to organize these events in chronological order.
I have it all basically set up but I am running into a design problem. I have a tablix with two columns in a group for the box+arrow combination, with column visibility set up to hide the arrow if it reaches the last event. What I would like to happen is for the boxes to reach the end of the page (the rightmost side of the page, and then come down a short distance below that row of boxes and continue on the same page (Ex. B). What it's doing is reaching the end of the side of the page, and breaking to the next page, effectively creating a bunch of pages with only one row of boxes on each page. (Ex. A)
Ex. A: What it does:
Ex. B: What I want it to do (accidentally forgot to include the arrow on the middle rightmost box in the picture, the second and third rows are just continuations of the first obviously):
I would almost call it row wrapping but it's not exactly the same. To bring the problem away from my specific flow chart design, I want to make tablix columns wrap down directly below the table (not the content inside the columns, the actual columns themselves).
I've done some reading on column groupings and interactive page size. I don't really understand the column grouping manipulation, especially when trying to apply it to my situation, and the interactive page size doesn't seem to be what I am looking for either. Any help on this would be really appreciated!
I suggest you use a multi-column layout, e.g.
http://nederveld.wordpress.com/2010/02/15/how-to-do-a-column-layout-in-sql-reporting-services/
Each of your Box + Arrow pairs would go into each cell.
I'm a bit confused about your arrow requirement, you might need to use an expression based on RowNumber to hide the arrow in the last column.

how to make a form designer

The Problem in Hand:
I want to make a form designer where user can drag and drop fields of different type and design the layout too, some what similar to wufoo form builder but here the layout is limited to single column whereas I want to make something where user can make the layout as they want.
I understand how to do in single column view, but could not understand how to achieve multiple column layout eg: row 1 there could be 3 elements, row 2 one element stretched to full length, row 3 there could be just 2 elements etc.
What I tried:
I have tried with jquery UI sortable to make a single column layout with using div where new elements can be dragged and repositioned.
Any suggestion on how to proceed further will be helpful
I have tried searching StackOverFlow and google but could not find any link on a similar topic. If anyone could point me to the same, it will be also helpful.
When you reorder elements on wufoo form builder, you can only drag'n'drop up or down. Remove that restriction and as soon as one element is dragged across a certain threshold, it "belongs" to the next column. If the "old" column was the first or last one and the line that the element was moved over was to the "outside" of the form, add a new column there, until the maximal number of columns is reached.
If the used drags the last element of a column into another column, remove the now empty column on element-drop.
You could also remove the dynamic adding/removing of columns and juist have a button ("remove column" & "add column") to do it by code.
An example for the dropping in another column can be found here: http://jqueryui.com/sortable/#connect-lists
Hope this helped!
Edit:
http://jqueryui.com/sortable/#portlets and http://jqueryui.com/sortable/#empty-lists also have elements that you could look into. Good luck! Sounds like a nice project. Can we see any progress or beta?

Drag and Drop Multiple HTML Columns

I am having HTML Tables. There are 10 columns inside that table. I want to Drag and Drop more than one columns. (i.e) select multiple columns and move them around (change column ordering)
Drag and Dropping a single column i know, but how to do this with Multiple Columns...
I am not pretty sure about the code but,
I guess there is one thing that you can try
When the user wants to move the columns then ask him to generate an event like(click on a button or something) now you know when the the particular button is clicked. Now ask the user to select the columns by clicking on them one by one when all the desired columns are selected put them in a single column and ask the user to move it. when the user drops this column on desired location you can remove this column.
