I'm kind of new to Ghidra Disassembler so kindly bear with me .
I was trying to install Ghidra to analyse an executable. After opening the executable in Ghidra it loads everything fine except Decompiler. Decompiler window displays
Decompiler: Unable to initialize the DecompilerInterface: Could not find decompiler executable" this error message. Also it shows "os/mac_x86_64/decompile does not exist
I downloaded it from here. I also have JDK installed in my mac.
What should i do so as to make Decompiler work?
As the error says there is no decompiler inside "os/mac_x86_64". Not sure on what i should do.
Issue happened because I removed the decompile file while installing ghidra for the first coz gatekeeper in my Mac prompted me to remove it as it was from github. Solution to this issue is to allow it in the Security & Privacy . Thank you #Robert for ur inputs and ur time. U saved me ton of time.
Clicking "Allow Anyways" without removing decompile fixed the issue for me.
I tried few different terminal implementations such as terminal-plus or platformio-ide-terminal on Atom (1.38.2) to run some Octave exercises. I noticed that the Octave shell runs normally until I try to plot anything.
When I type figure into the shell no window pops up and no error or any other messages appear in the terminal. Yet everything runs OK in Mac (Mojave 10.14.5) own terminal
Figured it out. The popup is there but it is buried under Atom itself. If I call figure(gcf) instead of simply figure it brings the window to the foreground and displays above the IDE. If anyone has a better answer I'll be happy to accept
i am trying to install RETScreen Expert software but while installation its giving the following problem. i am using windows Vista.
Exception. System.IO.FileFormatException
Message.The image format is unrecognised
Source . Presentation Core.
Please help me.
The UI of the installation program didn't launch properly on your computer. You can install RETScreen Expert in silent mode by using the "-q" switch from the command line.
You should probably contact their customer support directly by visiting their website or sending them an email.
(disclaimer: I work for NRCan on RETScreen)
I am using Ubuntu 12.10. When I try to install themes, extensions for Google Chrome browser from Chrome Web Store it shows the following error:
Could not install package:
'UTILITY_PROCESS_CRASHED_WHILE_TRYING_TO_INSTALL'.
Could not install package because a utility process crashed.
Try restarting Chrome and trying again.
I don't know what to do. And I can't find a proper solution.
This is an unidentified bug in Chrome that made a lot of noise.
Since Chrome developers could not obtain feedback about this bug in time, they marked it as WontFix. So simply waiting for a new version will most probably not help.
Closing for lack of actionable input on the bug.
If someone runs into this, please open a new bug!
You (yes, you, 007!) can actually help everyone running into this bug. Create an issue at crbug.com, mentioning the old issue #401655 and following the debug steps outlined in that issue report, esp. this comment.
That said, the bug is correlated with the kernel version used. Ubuntu 12.10 is no longer supported since 2014-05-16. You probably should move to 14.04 LTS release where this bug is not present.
But if you can't do that for whatever reason, and/or are willing to help Chrome development team, please investigate and make a bug report! And add a comment afterwards pointing to the bug you make.
Thank you for helping us help you help us all.

Fixed utility_process_crashed_while_trying_to_install issue as below:
modify the crx suffix to zip, e.g foo.crx->foo.zip
unzip the foo.zip to one folder, c:\chrome\foo
open chrome://extensions/
enable Developer Mode
"load unzipped extensions" and open c:\chrome\foo
foo.crx loaded successfully.
As crx is zip file and only htm, json, js files included, it's chrome bug and
hope this workaround will help you to avoid uninstall/install/upgrade pain :)
It is a bug in chrome, please downgrade your chrome browser or please wait for new version.
I just bought a Samsung gear 2 neo and wanted to create my own watch. So this means I am new to Tizen development.
I installed the Tizen IDE and the SDK but for some reason after following -a part- this tutorial (http://www.slideshare.net/badaindonesia/professional-tizen-application-development) Tizen won't run my projects because it can't find Google Chrome on the specified location. This problem occures when I try to run a Tizen web application as a Tizen web simulator app. When i try to launch it as a Tizen web app it says Could not find emulator or device but that isn't my current target.
The specific message is Google Chrome could not be found (C:\Program Files(x86)\Google\Chrome\Application\Chrome.exe). Please install Google Chrome and specify the Google Chrome program location in Window->Preferences under "Tizen SDK/Web/Simulator".
I have tried changing the location to C:\Program Files(x86)\Google\Chrome\Application\ But this wouldn't help either. Yes, i have entered the correct location since i have manually located the chrome.exe to.
The only thing which might be wrong is that I am using the Windows 7 64 bit installer while I am on a Windows 8 64 bit desktop pc.
I have experienced a similar bug. Maybe this will help you/future developers:
My problem was that the Chrome app wouldn't open while pressing debug. I subsequently tried it with the Visual Studio Tizen extension: same problem.
The fix: I dove into the extension code and found that changing the chrome path via the option "Change Chrome path" doesn't actually change your chrome path.
What does? Going into "C:\Users\[USERNAME]\.vscode\extensions\tizenweb.wappl-1.1.2\lib\constants.js" and changing Constants.CHROME_PATH to your chrome path (for the operating system you are using).
I have not found a solution for the Tizen app, though I would recommend using the VScode extension anyway.
I had the same problem. Though not exactly a solution, I found a workaround.
Start the Web Simulator from Start Menu
Enter the location of your index.html file in the address field and press Enter
Don't forget to add file:/// in the front.
There you go!!
