Installation of home-assistant-supervised for macOS - home-assistant

I was wondering if anybody knows if it's possible to install a home assistant with docker to the Mac without virtual machines. I've found this topic and it worked for the basic version of home assistant:
https://www.phatpenguin.com/2018/12/hassio-via-docker-on-mac.html?showComment=1635791899259#c6940582515373249537
But I need a supervised version and I can't find if there is the same way, but with a different docker image.

After a month of trying, I could not get a supervised version installed with Docker on my Mac either. Proxmox wasn't an option.
I went with the officially supported VirtualBox install and couldn't be more pleased. It didn't slow down the 8GB of ram on my 2011 Mac Mini, and all of the supervised features work great.

if you are using Web community edition, try with the offline version and install it. In case of issue persist after download disconnect your internet. it should work.
I had to uninstall the previously installed versions. I had some kind of network problem so when I installed it for the first time, the installation wasn't complete. And I tried to install it again.

MAMP PRO vs VHX7 vs AMPPS vs Native OSX config

I didn't find much on the net and that why i would like to ask your point of views regarding setting up a local web environment on an iMac
1- Which of the mentioned apps is recommended to install on a Mac, which is low in resources.
2- Does MAMP or AMPPS use the native OSX apache and PHP, or do they install their own versions?
Thanks in advance for your cooperation
Cheers
MAMP and VHX7 each installs its own server software, not the default macOS versions.

OSX Lion MySql - MIA?

I hear that OSX LIon does not have MySql packaged...is it true? Ok, no biggie but my question is: what happens if you upgrade from Snow Leopard?
Does it bork all your existing dbs? Is it utter mayhem? Or easy (please say yes!).
I don't believe that Lion comes with a stock MySQL installation, however if you're upgrading from Snow Leopard, Lion should not touch your current MySQL configurations.
However, as always, backing up first is heavily advised.
I upgraded to Lion from Snow Leopard and my MySQL installation seemed to survive just fine. I can merrily browse through my databases with Navicat as before. However, my php/MySQL projects (Drupal, Moodle) and all my Ruby on Rails apps ceased to work. (Haven't investigated enough to comment further on that yet.)
Caution advised, depending on your situation.

Hosting web services on Mac OSX Snow Leopard

Does anyone what options exist for developing and hosting web services on a Mac OSX Snow Leopard server?
Is webobjects still supported, are there other solutions?
Does Python or PHP have a solution on Mac that also has libraries for working with MySQL?
Any help appreciated,
Thanks // :)
Pretty much everything interesting (save MS .NET) runs on the Mac. Python, PHP, Java (Tomcat, Glassfish, JBoss).
Depending on the level of support you're looking for, any of those will likely fit the bill.
With Netbeans and Glassfish, you can have a SOAP webservice up and running in 10 minutes.

hudson and vmware player or virtual box, windows slave

I am currently running ubuntu 10.4, I would like to be able to run windows XP from within that machine, using vmware player/workstation. I am not sure which is better for my situation.
I need to verify my builds under a windows environment, which is why i need the vmware software, Does anyone have experience, running Hudson slaves on windows machine that is a VM, from a Linux machine that runs the master Hudson.
Are there any guides or tutorials on how to set this up, or practice that would speed up the process, and limit road blocks in the future.
Thanks.
Edit: VirtualBox would be just as useful. :) -- actually more interested in that.
Since you mentioned VirtualBox, there is a VirtualBox plugin for Hudson.
