Style a React Router Link - react-router

Problem: I'm using React Router Links and I can't figure out how to style them (I want to change font color and delete the underline).
I've been reading different documents but still can't figure out how to do this. One page said to just use NavLink instead of Link. I've used NavLink to create a navigation bar on my page and I've styled that with no problems but I feel like using a NavLink when it's not up in the navigation bar probably isn't the correct way to go?

You can create a className called "default-link"
and then do text-decoration none;
.default-link{
text-decoration: none !important;
}
feel free to let me know if this is what you meant.
An example of it can be found here: Remove stubborn underline from link

Elementor dropdown menu highlights menu item and shows border or outline

This is my first question on here. Any feedback is welcome.
I'm creating a dropdown menu for the mobile version of our site and I'm running into an issue that seems quite straight forward.
In this image you see the menu how it should look like when the submenu is extended. When working in the Elementor editor everything looks how it should look. When I go to preview mode or to the live website the following happens when I extend the dropdown menu: lines appear around the extended item what I think are borders or an outline. Also when I close the submenu the menu item gets highlighted: highlighted menu item.
It seems like the menu item is set to active and the default border/overlay is added. I don't see how that is possible since this are my settings: settings. Separation is set to none and the background-color and color are both set to their correct values. Settings for normal and hover are the same as active, since I don't want any changes to happen.
I tried other color values and changed them to transparent. These changes work properly but the black border and overlay remain an issue.
I also tried adding the following CSS to the element but this didn't help:
selector .menu-item {
border: none;
outline: none;
}
I tried rebuilding the menu, some other code snippets, disabling caching plugins, setting separation to solid with 0px and more but nothing fixed it so far. When looking at the elements using inspect I see that when extending the submenu the class changes from elementor-item has-submenu to elementor-item has-submenu highlighted. If I could somehow disable this I think the issue would be solved.
My HTML and CSS knowledge is quite limited so I hope there is an easy fix that I'm not familiar with.
Many thanks in advance!
Edit: Thanks to #Alivia Pramanik for the quick and easy solution!
Welcome to SO. If I am not mistaken, you can change this with Elementor's own design. To do with this custom CSS, add this,
.elementor-nav-menu--dropdown .elementor-item:focus {
background: #0000!important;
outline: 0!important;
}

Image Hover CSS Wordpress Avada

I am building a Wordpress site for my nonprofit using the theme Avada and trying to implement some basic custom code.
I am using a "Modal Text / HTML Link" with an image to link to a modal (a pop-up: https://avada.theme-fusion.com/design-elements/modal-element/ and documentation: https://theme-fusion.com/documentation/avada/elements/modal-element/). To help make it clear to users that they can click the image to produce the modal, I want the opacity to change to 70% on hover over just that image.
I currently have the below in the "text/HTML" field, but it’s causing the hover opacity effect for all images on the page rather than just this one image. How can I amend this code to only cause the effect for the linked image? I know so little about coding but feel like it probably has something to do with divs??? I also get the sense I'm accidentlly mixing css and html.....I think I need the html for this field OR I can have just the image source code in the html, and then implement css.
{<img src="https://staging2.pvdwaterways.org/wp-content/uploads/2021/07/Lilly-Manycolors.png" />
}
img:hover {
opacity: 0.7;
}
Here's a screenshot of the interface with the code entered
Thank you!
As #daniel Theman told already in the comment, you can set a class to your element in element edit on the first page at the bottom and then you add the code to custom css tab in avada theme options. Give your element a unique name as class like hoverop and add this to you custom css tab in theme options:
.hoverop:hover{
opacity:0.7;
}

how to change font color in a column when I hover over anywhere on a section in wordpress?

I made a transparent menu with white text on it and when we hover it the whole topbar becomes white and the text becomes invisible because of the same color.
I want to change the font colors to black of all the items in the columns when we hover anywhere on the top bar.
I am using elementor.
This is my website:
http://ha123.epizy.com
Please suggest if there is a plugin for this or any code. As a newbie I would be really happy to learn from you guys.
Thanks.
You could solve this using custom CSS code. If you use Elementor Pro, you could put this CSS inside of the plugin somewhere, but if not you can just add it either in the Customizer in Wordpress, or in a custom (child) theme.
Something like this could work in your case:
.elementor-widget-ekit-nav-menu:hover .elementskit-navbar-nav > li > a {
color: black;
}
You might actually also be able to solve this using Elementor itself in the style settings somewhere, but that depends on how everything is set up and which elements you are using.

How to change hover background on links in css?

When you hover the mouse over a link, it shows a background like this:
But I want it to look like this:
I am currently on a Maven/web application project with the JSF Framework. And the links are generated by <h:link>. In regular html/css its easy to make it look the second pic, but It wont work with JSF. How should i do it?
The css for this would be
element:hover{
background: none;
text-decoration: underline;}
Replace element with the class or id of that html element.

selected page link issue

Im trying to create a better way of letting the user know what page they are on by telling my global navigation to stay one colour. What I mean is if the user is on the home page I want the word "Home" to stay blue for example so that they know thats the page they are currently looking at.
Im not sure if i've explained it very well but if you take a look at the jsfiddle bellow it'll make more sense.
http://jsfiddle.net/4kUp3/
If you don't want to just hard code the style into each page to highlight the item, you could use jquery to grab the element that links to the current page and change it's style
$('a[href="'+window.location.href+'"]').parent().addClass('selected_link');
You could compare each link in the menu with the current page URL. With jQuery:
$('#site_nav li a').each(function(){
if($(this).attr('href') === window.location.href) {
$(this).parent().addClass('selected_link'); // apply style to li
}
});
DEMO
You have it setup correctly, the order on your CSS is just messed up a bit.
Change
.selected_link li a:link
to
.selected_link a:link
and HOME will be blue.
