I'm getting ready for a job interview regarding internet security,
Let's say I opened an incognito window in chrome and log into my gmail. I know that now I can access my google services (drive, gmail etc) from another window.
My question is, is it possible to copy cookies of incognito mode and merge them with normal mode? That would mean using incognito mode on someone else's computer would compromise my security ( if i'm not mistaken )
If it's possible please let me know how.

You can authenticate by copying the cookie (token) in incognito mode.
However, since the token has an expiration time, it will be blocked within a short time. also, in the case of incognito mode, all cookies (cache) are evaporated upon exit. so if you close the browser properly, it is difficult to cause security problems.
-> If you copy the cookie (token) to a separate storage space before it ends, you can use it before the expiration time. (1 hour for google, google-auth)

When shutting down Windows 8.1, Google Chrome produces the error message "Google Chrome did not shutdown properly". How can I get Chrome to shut down without giving me that error message?
I don't have to be logged in as a Google user.
There is another alternative, you just need to go to:
Settings
Advanced Settings
System
And uncheck the Continue running background apps when Google Chrome is closed option.
For now that is the best solution I have found that does not require you to delete your profile.
Received this error and found that the %LOCALAPPDATA%\Google\Chrome\User Data\Default\Preferences file had the System, Hidden and Read-only bits set. Used attrib to remove them. The first opening of Google Chrome after stated the same message, but subsequent opening the issue was resolved.
On this system, it appears to have been caused by the installation of the Audible Manager from Audible.com.
In the section Users there is an option to "Delete this user", click the button, confirm that you want to delete the user and presto, Chrome stops producing the error message when you start it.
This is a fix for people who wants to use the browser without a user profile. As a little note I have noticed that Chrome seems to be slightly slower booting, but for me it's well worth it to get rid of the error message.

I wanted to have several different chrome instances on my PC.. and i had to install CHROME, CHROME CANARY, CHROMIUM versions separately, and did a good JOB !
however, does there exists built-in function for "CHROME" only, not to install other Chrome versions?
You might also look at Chrome's "User Profiles" feature. It's a really neat way to separate multiple Facebook/Gmail/etc accounts. It also keeps distinct bookmarks / browse history / autocomplete / cookies / etc. Pretty much the only thing shared is the build of Chrome that you are running.
And there's a really nice profile swapping icon in the upper right corner:
Navigate to "chrome://settings" --> "Users"
Update(2015): Note, that this feature was borked up recently, so to get the good behavior now requires setting some extra flags. See http://digiwonk.wonderhowto.com/how-to/get-back-avatars-chrome-switch-user-profiles-more-easily-0159605/

So Disqus has not been working for me for some time, and they finally, handily, added a little notification that it's due to third party cookies being blocked. Great, I said, let's take care of that.
So I added an exception for disqus.com to Chrome's preferences, but it does not seem to be working. I did this vis Preferences -> Advanced -> Content Settings -> Manage Exceptions, where I have added an 'allow' exception for disqus.com. I have third-party cookies otherwise blocked.
Disqus still doesn't work, though, giving me the same error on every site that it's unable to work with third party cookies. The error persists even if I go to disqus.com and login, then revisit a site.
Why might disqus be failing here?
The reason is that you have to tell Chrome to allow 3rd party cookies for subdomains of disqus.com as well. So just set the exception to this instead: [*.]disqus.com.
Disqus requires you to accept third party cookies. If you want to use it, you have to turn them on and take your chances with the bad guys who use them for nefarious purposes.

When I run chrome, it creates a new process for each instance. Why would each process instance have access to the same session cookie? Even all the incognito instances share the same session cookie. How can I turn this off?
Why would each process instance have access to the same session cookie?
Because not sharing the cookie jar would cause nonintuitive behavior -- for instance, if you opened a site in one tab, logged in, then opened a new tab and navigated to that same site, you would be logged out in that tab.
How can I turn this off?
There are instructions on how you can set up multiple separate profiles here:
https://support.google.com/chrome/answer/2364824?hl=en
As far as I'm aware, though, there's no way to use a separate cookie jar without a whole separate profile.
That's ridiculous, that incognito windows share anything. They should be completely separate independent instances. I struggle with this all the time, using multiple admin accounts to administer multiple client accounts, I have to log out of one in order to access another, and back and forth. I would expect that once new instance is created it knows nothing of the other, unlike tabs where I would expect to share it.
I don't use google accounts in this work, they have nothing to do with google so creating separate profiles is no use since it can be done only with google accounts.
Only way around it is to stop using Chrome.

I need to access a website from my bookmarks but i don't want to sync my bookmarks to another persons computer.. Once i was able to open the stored bookmarks in Google docs, but there is no way to access the bookmarks now.
Is there a way to access my synced bookmarks without syncing ?
The google documentation says nothing about being able to access them,
Also, when you go to "Manage accounts" in you google account it says:
Chrome sync Nothing interesting here.
Stop sync and delete data from Google
Chrome privacy policy
So I guess it's impossible to do through their website without syncing... You can try syncing, copying all the bookmarks you need, and stop the syncing.
If you have some kind of remote access to your computer you can go to the Chrome data folder, in Windows 7 it's located in:
C:\Users\USERNAMEHERE\AppData\Local\Google\Chrome\User Data
Maybe try messing around there... there are files with the name "bookmarks" and they're not encrypted or anything...
