Responsive onesite website padding to centre - html

Im currently working on making onesie scrolling website but i came accross the problem. I want my text be on the centre of first "page" but i cant make it to looks good on phone and desktop at the same time.
With padding-top: 50% it looks good at mobile but terrible at desktop, on the other hand padding-top: 7 looks good on desktop but not much at phone. Can someone help me finding the golden mean?
my html code:

Based on your code, here is example of adaption for section.page1 with Media queries. This is what you should use to make your code adapting and responsive.
#media screen and (min-width: 400px){
section {
width: auto;
height: auto;
}
section.page1{
padding: 20px;
}
h1 {
font-size: 8vw;
color: #efefef;
text-align: top;
padding-top: 10px;
padding-left: 15%;
}
}

How to fix an icon in a corner of hero banner for responsive design?

I am trying to fix an svg icon in the bottom right corner of my hero banner (using flexbox). I am struggling to pin it into the correct position and also need to be able to adjust its position relative to the text and button (its a responsive website and I need to adjust based on screen size). I tried to adjust with the css margin property (left and right), but it does not work well.
.hero {
display: flex;
flex-direction: column;
justify-content: space-between;
height: 100vh;
padding: 1em;
box-sizing: border-box;
color: #333333;
background: url(https://images.unsplash.com/photo-1500417148159-68083bd7333a) center center no-repeat;
background-size: cover;
}
.hero-title {
max-width: 17em;
margin: 0;
font-size: 8vh;
font-weight: 100;
line-height: .9;
padding-left: 93px;
padding-top: 150px;
text-transform: none;
color: white;
}
.hero-subtitle {
max-width: 23em;
margin: 0;
font-size: 2vh;
font-weight: 100;
line-height: 1.3;
padding-left: 100px;
padding-bottom: 100px;
padding-top: 60px;
color: white;
}
.hero-footer {
display: flex;
margin-bottom: 2.5em;
}
/* button */
.button-primary {
color: red;
background-color: transparent;
padding: 8px 25px;
margin-left: 100px;
margin-bottom: 350px;
text-decoration: none;
border: .1em solid red;
font-size: 12px;
}
.button-primary:hover {
color: #ffffff;
background-color: #333333;
border: .1em solid #ffffff;
}
#iconheader {
display: flex;
flex-direction: column;
align-items: flex-end;
}
#myicon {
text-decoration: none;
font-size: 5vh;
font-weight: bold;
background: url(../images/test_icon.svg) 50% 50% no-repeat;
color: white;
}
<section class="hero">
<header id="header">
</header>
<header class="hero-header">
<h1 class="hero-title">Wonderful Day<br>Amazing Forum<br>Great Friends</h1>
</header>
<header class="hero-header">

</header>
<footer class="hero-footer">
<a class="button-primary" href="#">Learn More</a>
<div id="iconheader">
<a id="myicon" href="#">Icon</a>

Any help or suggestions would be greatly, greatly appreciated! Thank you.
Set position absolute and zindex high
.hero {
position: relative;
}
#iconheader {
position: absolute;
right: 0;
bottom: 0;
z-index:99999
}
for set a svg icon bottom in right corner use this css rules instead of yours:
#iconheader {
position: absolute;
right: 0;
bottom: 0;
}
in this way, the svg is always there

HTML margins squishing when viewed on Mobile device

I tried to use a couple of posts that were here for resizing for mobile devices but i can't seem to get it working. The margins keep pushing all the elements together when you view the site on a mobile device
/* TEXT FORMATTING */
.introPar1 {
border-radius: 5px;
background-color: #f2f2f2;
padding: 20px;
margin-left: 400px;
margin-right: 400px;
font-size: 30px;
}
.introPar1 h1 {
text-align: center;
}
.contacts {
border-radius: 5px;
background-color: #f2f2f2;
padding: 20px;
margin-left: 400px;
margin-right: 400px;
font-size: 30px;
}
/* MOBILE FORMATTING */
#media (max-width: 1100px) {
introPar1 {
margin-right: 20px;
`enter code here`margin-left: 20px;
}
}
#media (max-width: 750px) {
body {
margin-right: 5vw;
margin-left: 5vw;
}
}
#media (max-width: 500px) {
body {
margin-right: 2vw;
margin-left: 2vw;
}
}
You are seeing this page on mobile devices like this
You need to change like this
then increase the nav bar width
(I tried width: 1520px; for Nav beacuse that is the background image size you were used)
There are a bunch of problems with your code. But the problem with the menu is because li is not taking the height of a. So the list items will stack one under another, and will li under li. Li being smaller than a.
Use display:block on a.
Also, I copied the code from your site, so it will be here if someone else comes looking for this answer. Tried to clean it up a bit but you have some styles that i don't understand, like .introPar1 { margin-left:400px;margin-right:400px}
Anyway, see code below
body img {
max-width: 100%;
height: auto;
}
/* TOP NAVIGATION */
nav ul li a {
text-decoration: none;
margin: 20px;
padding: 20px;

How can I add flexbox on my Wordpress Site

Hey guys I am trying to apply flexbox on my wordpress site.
Based on what I know Flexbox is a shorthand of "Flexible Box Layout Module", which is a CSS3 module, standardized by the World Wide Web Consortium.
So I don't have to install anything, compliant browsers support it natively but for some reason it won't work on my site: http://americanbitcoinacademy.com/course-list/
Currently I am using flex on my codes:
<div class="flex">
<div class="col-1-3">
<img src="http://americanbitcoinacademy.com/wp-content/uploads/2017/01/The-Bitcoin-Transaction-Landscape.jpg" />
<h3 style="text-align: center;">BC 101 - The Bitcoin Transaction COURSE</h3>
<p>This course covers the basics of what Bitcoin is and how the Blockchain works, how to use a Bitcoin Wallet and why Bitcoin is important.</p>
<button class="btn btn-block btn-primary">PURCHASE COURSE →</button>
</div>
</div>
.col-1-3 {
padding: 10px;
width: 28%;
float: left;
margin: 2.5%;
border: 1px solid #dedede;
-webkit-border-radius: 7px;
-moz-border-radius: 7px;
border-radius: 7px;
padding-bottom: 0px;
font-family: 'Lato', Verdana;
}
.col-1-3 img {
width: 100%;
}
.col-1-3 img {
width: 100%;
}
a {
margin: 0;
}
h3 {
margin: 15px auto;
font-size: 16px;
font-weight: bold;
text-transform: uppercase;
}
p{
line-height: 16px;
margin: 10px auto;
}
h4 {
margin: 0 0 20px 0;
}
}
.btn-block {
display: block;
width: 100%;
margin-top: 22px;
background: #DD374D;
}
button.btn-block{
background: #DD374D;
font-family: 'Roboto';
margin-bottom: 10px;
font-weight: bold;
}
}
#media only screen and (max-width: 767px) {
.col-1-3 {
width: 44%;
}
}
#media only screen and (max-width: 590px) {
.col-1-3 {
width: 94%;
}
}
.flex {
display: flex;
flex-wrap: wrap;
}
Which will do the trick to have equal size of the boxes NO MATTER HOW LONG IS THE CONTENT on that page by default.
Any idea why does the flexbox doesnt work?
Thank you in advance.
Your code works. You are probably not testing in a flex box capable browser:
http://caniuse.com/#search=flexbox
To align buttons to bottom:
.col-1-3 {
position: relative;
padding-bottom: 40px; /* offset height of button */
}
button.btn-block{
position: absolute;
bottom: 0px;
width: calc(100% - 20px);
}

flex items stretching on wider screens

I just finished developing my first web page using flexbox. It looks great on my screen resolution (1326x768) but when I test it on a larger screen (1894x787), the content looks crazy stretched. Below are the screen shots:
At 1326x768
At higher screen resolution
Codepen
I had used flex: 1 1 60% on some elements (the % varies of course), but making flex-grow: 0 doesn't really do anything.
I have only set fixed parameters for the containers of images (fixed heights). I haven't set fixed widths for any container.
Am I missing something with flex boxes here?
I guess media queries might be one way to solve this problem but is there any other solution, a more robust way to develop using flex?
How can I make the page look the way it is meant to in all screen sizes not stretched or overly compressed?

This is the source of your problem:
.main-content-left-image-1 {
padding: 0;
margin: 0;
width: 100%; <---- problem
height: 360px; <---- problem
background-image: url("https://gallery.mailchimp.com/f6...");
background-size: 100% 100%;
background-repeat: no-repeat;
background-position: center;
}
.main-content-left-image-2 {
padding: 0;
margin: 0;
width: 100%; <---- problem
height: 360px; <---- problem
background-image: url("https://gallery.mailchimp.com/f6...");
background-size: 100% 100%;
background-repeat: no-repeat;
}
If you tell an image to be width: 100% and height: 360px, consider how that plays out.
The width is always the full length of the container. Whether the screen is wide or narrow, the image goes with it.
But you have set a fixed height of 360px. There's no flexibility there.
As a result, the image is flexible horizontally and inflexible vertically, which leads to a loss of aspect ratio / distortion.
There are several possible solutions to this problem:
Responsive css background images
