Resizing the address bar in Chrome to show more extensions - google-chrome

I cannot resize the address bar in Chrome to show more extensions since the recent update of Chrome
Chrome version Version 83.0.4103.116 (Official Build) (64-bit)
Mac OSX Catalina Version 10.15.5 (19F101)
Image below shows that there is now resize toggle

Click on the Puzzle piece next to the address bar, then you can pin extensions next to the puzzle piece and their icons will display between the puzzle piece and the address bar. Easy Peasy.

Why is Chrome now blanking all page content that is off screen, re-renders it a full second after scrolling

Chrome recently started this severe janky behavior. When I scroll ANY PAGE, the content is blank for a full second before Chrome renders the content. Even when I scroll back up to previously rendered content, it is blank for a full second before Chrome rerenders the content! It is super annoying!
What broke? And how do I fix it? Use the flags page to demonstrate the behavior: chrome://flags/
I'm running the latest Chrome version on the latest Beta Mac OS:
Chrome Version 108.0.5359.124 (Official Build) (arm64)
macOS Ventura 13.2 Beta(a)
I found a fix/workaround that restores smooth scrolling and everything is already rendered! Go to chrome://flags/ and disable "Threaded Scrolling." I haven't noticed any page performance degradation either.

Only when I reduce the window size will it disappear. It looks like:
I have thought it might have something to do with CSS but I can't get any information from the dev tools.I have also turned to chrome community forum for help.Although there is someone alse who met the same problem, none of them know the cause.
Any ideas what might be causing this?Is it a bug?
Version: Google Chrome79.0.3945.79 (Official Build) m (64-bit)
OS: win10
what happens when opening another page? does it show it there?
Try changing the theme to black or another. see what results you get.
If it is related to google homepage only, then it's possibly something to do with getting viewport size and then the related scaling logic.

Try disabling hardware acceleration in Google Chrome. Go to Chrome Settings, search for hardware acceleration, and uncheck the box if it is checked. Chrome should prompt you to restart the application.

I've just installed Canary and opening DevTools they appear docked to the right so I thought I'd just dock them to the bottom of the screen but the three-vertical-dots menu to the left of the X don't work, I get a tooltip: 'Customize and control DevTools' but I can left-click to my heart's content and nothing will happen.
The ordinary version of the Chrome browser works fine.
I'm on Windows 7, 64bit.
any ideas anyone?

No Mobile Emulation in Chrome 39.0.2171.95 m. How to enable?

I have Chrome 39.0.2171.95 m on Windows 7 64. But there is no Mobile Emulation in my Chrome. I have Dell Notebook 15.6 inches screen size. May small screen size be the reason? How to enable Mobile Emulation?
No Overrides option in my Chrome:
Chrome with Overrides option:
Hotkey: CTRL-SHFT-M
To enable it with hot keys, CTRL-SHIFT-M should work from anywhere in the debugger and may be easier to use than looking around for the new icons as they moved around in the last few versions of Chrome.
Finding Device Mode via the new icons in the GUI:
In recent versions of Chrome they have moved device mode support to its own cellphone like icon:
They have also moved the Emulation Panel into submenus, toggled by the >= icon:
But the panel is only configurable when the device mode icon is already enabled.
Note the device mode icon selected(blue) in the top left and the submenu icon selected on the top right. Though they may be in different locations in some versions.
