How to translate this group name in mediawiki? - mediawiki

I installed Extension:CommentStreams of mediawiki and it adds an user group called staff.
How can I translate this group name in mediawiki? Any other group names are translated by default as I chose my language in LocalSettings.php but this group name is not translated. How possible?

Group names are translated via the messages group-XXX, group-XXX-member and grouppage-XXX. See docs. CommentStreams does not use a staff group, though, as other commenters have noted.

How to train watson on names entity or general string?

I need to train watson assistant on the following utterance, what is the order status of Bob/Jane or some name.
I tried with #sys-person but it does not recognize all names.
I defined an intent like this
what is order status of #name
and created entity #name as \b[A-Za-z0-9]\b

The idea is that you don't need your bot to know all possible names in advance, but instead it can recognize a name based on the context within an intent.
To set this up, you'd go to your order status intent and add some training examples such as:
what is the order status of Name
what is the order status of Another Name
what is the order status of Yet Another Name
(These examples can have any kind of name, whether fake or real.)
And then you'll annotate each of those to associate the name with the #name entity, by double-clicking on the name portion of the training examples (i.e. Name, Another Name, Yet Another Name) to bring up the entity selection UI and specifying your #name entity.
After Watson finishes training, you can test it in the "Try it out" window. Enter something like "what is the order status of Charles Flint" or "what is the order status of Thomas Watson" and you should see your #name entity matched. From there, you can access the name specified by the user with #name.value.
Hi JohnDon't wish to dismiss your entity pattern, however from experience I have seen its almost impossible to determine a complete list of people names. I use both #sys-person and my own #names entity which contains over 6,000 common names, and we are still adding missing values to the list. We also have a #bad_names list which contains names that match common words like; summer, cherry, star, cj, etc. By using both your intent or #sys-person or #names, etc in your condition you have a good chance to catch a high percent of the users messages.

SSRS When uploading report owner name is wrong

I have SQL 2014 professional version 12.0.5000.0 with SSRS runing. eI have created a report in report builder 3.0 which works and runs find.
However when I go to create a subscription and run I get the user a1234 (as a example ) don't exist.
I looked there is no user with that name added to SSRS or in our domain.
my user name is ah1234 (as a example )
I looked in the subscription table and the owner is me ? However, the subscription is showing the owner as a1234?
I checked the report I uploaded it says the owner is a1234.
I'm thinking it might be a active directory issue but not sure.
Has anyone has see this before if so how can I fix the owner name of the subscription?
I don't know how SSRS has corrupted the owner name but here is a trick (written on 2008 R2) to correct owner names (I use this when people leave & their Active Directory user id gets deleted leaving orphaned subs that will not run).
Note that it updates the Microsoft-supplied subscriptions table, you may not wish to do that.
First identify the SSRS owner id for the from-person & also that of the to-person (you may need to get the to-person to create a subscription first):
SELECT distinct [OwnerID], u.username
FROM [<ssrs-database>].[dbo].[Subscriptions] s
join [<ssrs-database>].[dbo].[Users] u on s.ownerid = u.userid
Now make a safe copy of the subscriptions list, e.g.:
SELECT * into temp.subscriptionscpy
FROM [<ssrs-database>].[dbo].[Subscriptions] s
Now make the change, e.g. (this one changes the owner of all relevant subs):
update [<ssrs-database>].[dbo].[Subscriptions]
set ownerid = 'DDD87598-8957-42C8-8DBC-A893E7174CB6'
where ownerid = 'EBF0E483-69E6-4458-B171-BA28FFCCDF3F'
Now check the owner is as you want it.

Zabbix - Set a group on top of System Status, without renaming

I'm using Zabbix 3.0.1.

Goal: To place one host group above all the others for Dashboard -> System Status -> Host Group.
In this case a host group is named 1_bravo_cloud.
But I'd like to have it named bravo_cloud without having it renamed to 1_bravo_cloud, in order to be on the top. The sorting is done in alphabetical order.
How is this possible, to have one host group above all the others to see the System Status, without renaming?
Unfortunately, there is no built-in way to do that. Sorting will always be alphabetic.

MediaWiki - User Table

I'd like to include a table with all registered users on a page in my MediaWiki but the only user list I can find is the special page "Active users list".
Is it possible to include this (or a similar list with e.g. the entered real name) on a wiki page?

You can use the Special:ListUsers special page for this. It's a list of all users registered in your wiki.
You can include some special pages just like templates. So, to include the Special:ListUsers page on any wiki, you just need to paste the following wikitext code into the page where you want to show the user list:
{{Special:ListUsers}}
The limit for the list is 50 (iirc), so if you want to increase the length of the list, you can pass the limit parameter to the inclusion syntax:
{{Special:ListUsers|limit=100}}
However, I don't think that Special:ListUsers provides a way to show the real names of users, sorry.

How do I create my own custom group in mediawiki?

I have been reading carefully through the MediaWiki documentation but I have not been able to find out how to create new groups.
When I look at Special:Userrights, I see only 3 groups :
Bots, Sysops, Bureaucrats
I would like to create my own custom groups, so I can use some extensions like the http://www.mediawiki.org/wiki/Extension:Group_Based_Access_Control.
Can someone tell me how it's done, or point me to some documentation?
You can add permissions for new groups to your LocalSettings.php file and they will automatically appear in the Special:UserRights page.
For example, I wanted to disallow editing by regular users but create a "Trusted" group that was allowed to edit. The following code creates a "Trusted" group that is equal to the "user" group, except that "Trusted" users can edit but "user" users cannot.
$wgGroupPermissions['Trusted'] = $wgGroupPermissions['user'];
$wgGroupPermissions['user' ]['edit'] = false;
$wgGroupPermissions['Trusted']['edit'] = true;
$wgGroupPermissions['sysop' ]['edit'] = true;
On the Special:UserRights page, I can now check the "Trusted" box to make users trusted.
You can alter the appearance of the group name by creating the following messages:
(For a group named ninja:)
MediaWiki:Group-ninja (content: Ninjas)
MediaWiki:Group-ninja-member (content: ninja)
MediaWiki:Grouppage-ninja (content: Project:Ninjas)
This will insure that the group will be referred to as "Ninjas" throughout the interface, and a member will be referred to as a "ninja", and overviews will link the groupname to Project:Ninjas.

I beleive I have found the answer, I just need to add the UserGroup and the permission to the wgGroupPermissions array in the LocalSettings.php file.

I don't have the reputation to vote up the first answer (which can also be added to extension initialization files), but for when you get to adding users to your groups you may want to consider directly editing the database (ie. if you need to sync the wiki groups with external information). If you open the database "wikidb" the "PREFIX_user_groups"* table contains the mapping between user IDs (ug_user) and group names (ug_group). This table, combined with the "PREFIX_user"* table's name information (user_name) and ID information (user_id), give you all the information to add and remove large numbers of users from groups.
* Replace "PREFIX" with the database prefix you used for your wiki.
