You should use be using the Cordova CLI for your command line workflow for building Cordova Apps. For Cordova, more information is available here. If you want to use VS, then I strongly urge you to install our VS 2015 RC build which enables you to build Cordova applications for iOS, Android and Windows. More information for VS, is available here.

Setting up phonegap development environment

I am working on the windows-8 PC. And i have some HTML app gui which i want to convert to android mobile app.

Which is the best methord to start working with phonegap ?
Do we need android SDK if we work with phonegap cli ?
2> This link tells to use commandline or IDE methord to create phonegap projects :--

3> What exactly is the relation between android SDK & phonegap cli .. ?
i would recommend you to use Cordova. Why? Yes, there is no realy reason why to do this, It's rather a question of what you like to work with.
I'm using Cordova. Maybe you read the Getting started guide and then the following documentation.
After you installed all, you can open up the CMD and create a new cordova project. If you want to know, how to do this, go on with the posted link above. A little bit under the setup instructions you can find a Guide which explains you, how to setup a new project and so on.
If you work with Cordova, you need Eclipse and i would recommend you to install Genymotion for having more options of deploying an app to a device.
Later on, if you would like to convert an Application to another platform you can use the Phonegap Build from Adobe. But normaly you can use your code like you wrote it for android 1:1 for iOS. Maybe there are some tiny differences, but they would'nt be fixed by the phonegap build i think. So... i would say there is no way to say "You should work with Phonegap" or "You should work with Cordova" it's your choice.
If you want to build app for android locally you'll need android SDK. This is because phonegap/cordova uses the android SDK to wrap the app.
Basically phonegap/cordova uses the SDK to compile the project for android platform and to build the APK file which can be installed in devices. You can interpret as Phonegap/cordova cli is an interface between android technology and cross platform technology. Similarly iOS will need some native technology to work with phonegap. Thiese SDK helps to build and package the app for their own platform which you've written in HTML/CSS/Javascript.

Getting blank screen from packaged air desktop application

I am developing an as3 application intended to be published with AIR.
I use the 4.6 version of Flex SDK with the flash builder plugin for eclipse.
I can launch/debug my app via eclipse without any problems. I export a valid version of the app and get my air installer. When I install and launch my app, I get a blank screen...
I don't know how to debug this. It seems that I miss something in the publication configuration but I don't know what.
I have been searching the web for hours and didn't find any solution, hope somebody can help me here !
Thanks for any help.
It simply was a real as3 error that didn't show up on debug mode...
When allowing the debug mode on the AIR application I learned that the property mouseChildren cannot be set on SimpleButton.
I got the same problem with my app and I finally found a way to display the error in the package app:
You just have to add a file named debug into your app/META-INF/AIR folder.

What is the correct version for Box Android sdk

I go http://developers.box.com/onecloud/ to download the Android SDK. I got box-box-android-sdk-5482811 Is this the latest version?
Because when I open up the OneCloudAppToAppSample, even the R. variable is not well defined. And I cannot run the sample code.
Where can I find more help or documentation on using Box with Android SDK?
The SDK is being improved quite frequently, so our advice would be to always use the latest version on the "master" branch. We consider the master branch to be our stable release. In your case, 5482811 should work fine.
Regarding your issues with the sample app, I don't seem to have any problems compiling it off of a fresh download. I can think of one thing you might be running into:
The sample app was configured to point to target "Google APIs:15". It's possible you don't have this installed (through the Android SDK manager). We actually should not have configured this build target, since the project doesn't use the Google APIs, and we'll fix that in our next release.
In the meantime, could you try this (assuming you're using Eclipse):
Right-click on the OneCloudAppToAppSample project and go to Properties.
Go to the Android section on the left, and change the build target to Android 4.0.3 - 15 (not the Google APIs version).
Project -> Clean -> Clean all projects.

MonoDroid and Google Maps: package com.google.android.maps does not exist

I am having trouble to incorporate Google Maps in an adroid app created with MonoDroid. I am using the MonoDevelop IDE.
I referenced the Mono.Android.GoogleMaps package (I noticed that the version is 0.0.0.0).
I created a MapActvity called LocationMapActivity. When I try to build the app I get the following error in LocationMapActivity.java: package com.google.android.maps does not exist.
Thanks in advance for your help!
EDIT: Make sure not to forget to set the correct target framework after installing the Google API.
The Google Maps library is not included with the base Android SDK, so I'm guessing that you haven't installed the Google APIs add-on. Xamarin has some documentation available here with details on what you need to do to install the add-on and set up an emulator that includes support for it.
