I'm facing a weird issue, I had two sites on a web hosting provider (OVH), both sides were running smoothly and correctly.
I decided to get a dedicated server (for many purposes, amongst them i wanted to be fully independant concerning the configuration).
I'm using an Ubuntu based server with Caddy, sites are made out of jQuery, HTML5/Css3. Since i've put them on my dedicated server, the responsive isn't working anymore while the exact same website is still responsive on the web hosting server...
What should i look after? I don't have any idea where to begin at :s
Thanks for your help!
Solution :
Check for script calling, the sources for external files have to be the same as the website url (if website is https, file sources should be https too).

I have a website where it was hosted in 10 servers. From past somedays many users a using a particular webpage. so some functionalities in that particular webpage are not working as expected. They are behaving abnormally
For Example : I have a clear button on the page where user clicks on the button and it should clear all the checkboxes. But it was not clearing all the checkboxes. It was not a code error because we are using this webpage from many years.
More Details :
*It is a Vb.Net code
*.Net 1.1 version
*VS2003
*We have hosted code in 10 servers, where if a server has heavy load it changes to other(Load Balancer).
*Windows 2008R2
*IIS Version 7.5.7600.16385
My question is "As many users are using the webpage frequently will there be any thing happening" or any other reasons or bugs why this is happening. Any theoretical explanation for this issue please?
I could see that you are using VS 2003, VB.Net 1.1, Windows Server 2008 R2, and IIS 7.5 All the products you are using are out of support now.
Generally when many users use the web page then also it should work properly without any issues. As your project type is too old, it is difficult for us to comment on the possible cause of the issue.
One thing you could check is whether the website works fine on any of the 10 servers. If yes, compare the Server configuration and app settings with the Server that is having the issue.
See whether any Windows update got installed or if any configuration or code change occurred. It might give you some hints.
Check the browser console for errors. If you have the project then try to run it on your development machine to check whether it works. It could be possible, that some things got changed and you need to update your code according to it.
Currently I am working on a website that uses Vue-js as front-end technology and Node + MySQL as the back-end part. In the development mode, when I am connecting to the internet and use npm run serve (I am using Vue version 2) I see these lines in my command-line:
That is very good feature of Vue-CLI that helps me to see and test my website in for example my mobile device (with the help of address in the Network part of above image). But unfortunately when I go to some pages (like "article pages") that have some information from back-end part of site, I could not see them in my mobile. The reason is clear. I use Node server in other terminal in my laptop and also run XAMPP to have MySQL database and both of them are not related to Vue-CLI. So their part of information could not be seen in real devices like my mobile phone.
I want to know is there any solution that I could test and see all parts of my site before putting it online and in real device? I know that I could use browser utilities for testing responsive design but I want to see it in a real device. Also when I searches for that, I usually find websites and solutions that works when the site is online (not using localhost). If any developer has any idea for that (when using Node as back-end or other languages in general in combination with Vue-CLI) that could help me to see my website in real device, I am so curious to understand that. Is there any package that does it for me?
If you are on a home wifi, visit the ip address shown the screenshot you shared "http://192.168.1.50:880" on your mobile device or any other device connected to the same wifi.
My website only works on my laptop and phone! On my ipad, (it is a school ipad, managed by the district) the website doesn't update. I have cleared the cache. I need to present this next monday (my classmates will also be using their school ipads) and it was working fine earlier. PLEASE HELP

EDIT: The website was updating fine before today
Replying to the comments:
Yes, i tried incognito mode but it made no difference.
Yes, what you see is right but on my school ipad i think that it my school is blocking my server or something. Is that possible?
Since we have already determined that your web site has been updated correctly and the files are OK on the server, it's been narrowed down to possibly your school ipad blocking your server. You can try accessing it through a web based proxy for a quick test. Try this service:
https://www.hidemyass.com/proxy
Something else you can try is to upload your web page to another server. Since it's just one page, you don't need anything special. In fact, you could save the file on any free hosting service. Here is an example I created on HTML Pasta:
https://33d08f2c-9365-4692-bc3c-3ed68c454c41.htmlpasta.com
You can create your own at https://htmlpasta.com
EDIT: P.S. Your school ipad is probably not blocking anything but has some kind of cache that you have not cleared. Since you mentioned that you cleared the browser cache already, it may be routing your network through a school proxy or something which is caching the old site on the network level (or some other type of cache)
I am very new to stack over flow so please pardon my mistakes.
I am using opencart platform for my custom built ecommerce store. The website was woring perfectly till now, but I have just bought SSL certificate form comodo and installed it successfully to the store.
Now, I am facing an ISSUE of webpage streching or uncompressing, honestly I dont have an specific name for the problem but some of the experienced people can tell about it.
So, please suggest me something on the issue showed in the attached picture.

I visited your website and its looks fine to me. There could be multiple possibilities for these kind of issues
Major one is Chrome, the browser itself. Many users face such issues you could possibly check and update your browser and Display Drivers if you haven't done that also try and check your website on other browsers too.
If you are using a 3rd Party template for your opencart installation, make sure your using the most up-to-date version of that theme and also make sure it matched with your current opencart version.
If you are using third party services such as cloudflare for DNS resolution and minification of Javascript, CSS and HTML make sure you turn off rocketloader and keep settings to default.
Hope that helps. Please keep me posted on this.
Also you mentioned you are using Comodo SSL certificate. Request you to read this page and make sure your website is secure.(https://blogs.comodo.com/e-commerce/heartbleed-bug-comodo-urges-openssl-users-to-apply-patch/)
In case the above points doesn't help make.I would request you to re-inspect your SSL installation (http://www.inmotionhosting.com/support/edu/opencart/setting-up-payment-gateways/how-to-enable-ssl-connection-in-opencart)
We are trying to streamline the process of showing clients their websites whilst in development without the need to change absolute paths etc.
We mostly develop locally and change our hosts files to reflect the domain name, when we are ready to show the client we copy the files to www.client.com/dev but I'm looking for a better method, any suggestions that can make this process smoother and faster would be great.
If you always host the site on a separate domain and not in a subdirectory, you will never have to change absolute paths. So instead of hosting a site in development at www.client.com/dev try dev.client.com. Another option would be to use client.yourcompany.com.
Also try to protect the site in development with HTTP basic authentication. This is easy to set up in most web servers, without changing your web application. Also, if the content is even remotely sensitive in any way, use HTTPS as well.
Alternatively, let them simply come over to your office and present it to them (or go to them and present it). The upside is that you have full control over what they will and won't see, and it never has to go online.
Well, we have client.t.uw.ru site which is universally visible.
When it matures, it moves onto www.client.com and is pushed to search engines.
Thus, we have a * DNS entry on t.uw.ru domain which makes it easy.
