When typing a query into MySQL Workbench, the autocomplete suggestion popup is so slow. After typing a couple letters of a column or table name, I have to pause for about a second or more for the suggestion box to popup.
Is there anyway to make the suggestion box appear immediately as I'm typing rather than wait for a pause?
This is on purpose to avoid that the popup comes up constantly while you are typing (the delay is 500ms atm, hard coded). However, by using the hot key you can always trigger code completion immediately (on OSX this is command + esc, otherwise control + space bar).

If you have each schema open (dropped down) in the Navigator, the autocomplete will work.

Im trying to create a script that works on two differents windows simultaneously, but everytime the script clicks, it opens the windows start menu without reason which hides part of my screen and cause FindFailed errors.
What can I do to prevent that ? What causes this issue ?
Clicks with SikuliX are not "simultaneously" but always sequentially one after the other.
So tell a bit more about your setup.
A relevant snippet of your script code might help as well.
Have you tried "run in slow motion", where you can better watch, where the mouse moves and clicks?
I have been using froala Editor with Google Chrome and everything is fine. I met a client who uses Firefox who needed to press the space-bar twice in order to get a single space. Pressing it once made the space appear, only to disappear as soon as you start typing the next word.
The issue happens when the content is pre-loaded and the user wants to append text to an existing "<span>" element.
Unlike the guy with this similar question , I am not getting any error at all in my console.
Has anyone ever encountered this issue? How do I resolve it so that my Firefox users can only press space-bar once to get a single space instead of pressing twice?

You can try adding a little css to that span tag, display: inline-block; and then check if it resolves your problem.
When I am typing in NetBeans 8.2, whether it is a HTML paragraph or something like an input field, this annoying auto-suggest feature keeps on popping up. It is really annoying when I try to press enter to start a new line as it will insert a load of code when I press enter, since 'Button' is automatically highlighted.
I've included a screenshot of the problem below...
How can I disable this autocorrect feature. I don't want to disable autoorrect for PHP or when actually setting up a HTML tag (so I want to use it in a situation like this... <input type="autocorrect displays here" />, but not when typing anything else).
Sorry if I haven't explained myself very well, I can't really think of a good way to describe my problem. Please, leave a commend if you need to know more.

PS: I can't find any other answers on the internet because I don't know what this is called, since I want this specific auto-suggest to disappear, so please direct me to another answer and I'll delete this question if the answer is appropriate.
PPS: I think the palette may have something to do with it but I can't be sure.
I finally found the solution for this annoying problem:
Simply go to Tools/Palette/Code Clips and remove everything from Palette (all folders and items).
Now the problem is gone!
If you go into NetBeans > Tools > Options > Editor > Code Completion, you can check or uncheck "Auto Popup Completion Window" for whatever Languages you want.
If you move over to the Code Templates tab, you can also customize the specific autocomplete rules for each Language. That way, you can leave certain ones in that you find helpful and remove ones that you find bothersome.
Today I finally had enought of these * autocompletes in my * code.
Found my way thru Google to this question and found no comfort from the answers.
But this is how I did it:
Open Code Clips -manager (Tools > Palette > Code Clips)
Select all HTML-related and click "Remove"
Profit

Palette > Code Clips > Remove -- does not work.
NetBeans > Tools > Options > Editor > Code Completion > Disable "Auto popup completion window" -- does work.
In NetBeans 12, disabling the Auto Popup Completion Window option for HTML does not solve the problem when editing PHP files, the popup shows up whenever Tab is pressed in HTML portions of code.
The solution is to keep the Auto Popup Completion Window active for All Languages, then switch to the Code Templates tab, select Language: HTML, remove all templates from the list, and voilá. No more HTML popup suggestions, anywhere, ever. Only the good old PHP suggestions will remain active.
this is insanely annoying problem:
AS3 full screen application based on ADOBE FLEX 4, text field. User types something in text field, and then starts clicking backspace many many times to remove what he just wrote, and for some reason, instead of removing characters from text field it tells browser to GO BACK and user navigates away. Why?! Please, please help, this is so terrible. My users are losing important unsaved this is data while using my application!

It is possible that the focus is lost from your text field when hitting the backspace multiple times (check if you are firing some events on the text field that may cause this), which causes the main window to take focus and trigger 'Back' on the browser.
The root of the problem is that the browser carries out keyboard shortcuts REGARDLESS of the flash app having the focus or not. From what I heard this problem does not exist on Safari's for Mac, only Safari for Windows.
I would check to see what browser you are in and then create a popup saying you this app does NOT work on Safari browser ON windows.

Well maybe if HAD to solve this, I would use the ExternalInterface to interact with Safari or javascript to PREVENT the history back button from getting applied. So it won't go back to an old page. That is what I would look into.
In an Access (2002 / 2003) data-bound form, a turn of the mousewheel moves to the next/previous record, even if the cursor is inside a multiline text field or a listbox. This is a major annoyance to users and cannot be turned off easily.
I recently discovered a DLL called MouseHook (http://www.lebans.com/mousewheelonoff.htm) which can effectively block this mousewheel behavior and replace it with more expected behavior.
However, when an external ActiveX control is added to an Access form, this module does nothing. For example, I have a form with a FlexGrid control on it, and it can contain a lot of rows. When a user tries to scroll in there using the mousewheel, Access again simply goes to another record instead, even with MouseHook DLL loaded.
Is there a solution like MouseHook DLL but which also works for external ActiveX controls? Or is the source code of the MouseHook DLL available so it can be modified to deal with controls like FlexGrid?
PS: I wanted to ask the author of MouseHook DLL, but he is currently "on a hiatus" until June 2009.
If you really have to alter the UI and change how the user expects the mouse wheel to work, I would actually recommend just disabling it rather than altering how it scrolls. While it's scrolling may seem odd to you, it is how the program works. What would you do if you had to read PDF's all day, and then one day one person decided that the way the mouse wheel scrolling worked wasn't good enough and changed to so it defaulted to huge jumps or horizontal or whatever. Yes, it may have been a better solution, however it is annoying to the user because it doesn't do what it is supposed to do.
Why are you using a flexgrid in Access? To me, this is a read flag that you likely are approaching the project with an Access-hostile point of view, since you seem to be choosing non-native controls to do things that are almost always much more easily accomplished with Access's native controls.
Hook the flexgrid, intercept the WM_MOUSEWHEEL message, ignore it and call your intended behaviour.
Not a direct answer to your question, but the way we deal with the mouse wheel movement is to prevent accidental changes of records after the user has started editing. When the user opens the form, the wheel moves the records willy-nilly as normal. As soon the user edits something on the field, and then moves the mouse wheel, the BeforeUpdate event fires, which causes our code to put up a prompt saying they must save the record first. We have a save button which the user must explicitly press to supress the warning in the BeforeUpdate event.
