Error in quick start guide - csv

I'm new to encog, and I recently read the "Quick Start Guide"
However I found a things that I consider an error, can you confirm this?
In the final "chapter", "Using Encog for Time Series", the output is printed in the console using this code:

The wrong I think it is wrong, is the "correct" variable: since it is predicting the SSN value from the CSV, it is right to read it using csv.get(2), but it should be invoked on time "t+1". In this code it is evaluated equals to SSN at time t
The output shows this too:
[9.4, 9.1] -> predicted: 16.576461298905144(correct: 9.4)
here it is clear that "correct" value is the same as input.
Am I missing anything?

Capture any standard report to JSON or XML?

I know that I can use LIST_TO_ASCI to convert a report to ASCII, but I would like to have a more high level data format like JSON, XML, CSV.
Is there a way to get something that is easier to handle then ASCII?

The conversion needs to be executed in ABAP on a result which was executed like this:

How to read from MySQL table Polygon data

I am developing an application that I need location data to be stored on MySQL table. In addition to point locations, I need regions (polygon) as well.
I am currently writing the polygon coordinates as follow :

I am not sure if I am really writing the data since I can not read Blob.
Is my reading syntax incorrect?
** Note:** I am using Visual Studio 2017. The MySQL latest version with Spacial classes.

GeomFromText() takes a WKT (the standardized "well-known text" format) value as input and returns the MySQL internal geometry type as output.
This is the inverse of what you need, which is ST_AsWKT() or ST_AsText() -- take an internal-format geometry object as input and return WKT as output.
Prior to 5.6, the function is called AsWKT() or AsText(). In 5.7 these are all synonyms for exactly the same function, but the non ST_* functions are deprecated and will be removed in the future.

I don't know for certain what the ST_ prefix means, but I assume it's "spatial type." There's some discussion in WL#8055 that may be of interest.

Understanding cyclomatic complexity

The identifiers and SQL statement are anonymized but otherwise my method looks the same.
Now Checkstyle claims that the cyclomatic comlexity if this method is 12. I always thought I knew what CC was and from my knowledge I'd say this methods CC is 2. There is one if that creates a new path through the code and the control flow graph therefore has 2 paths/exit points. I don't see where else there should be a path through the code.
Am I missing something entirely or is Checkstyle just wrong?
Turned out this was a Checkstyle error. While not even cleaning the problem did the trick, after a system restart the warning was gone. An Eclipse restart might have been enough, no way to know for sure.

Excluding Content From SQL Bulk Insert

I want to import my IIS logs into SQL for reporting using Bulk Insert, but the comment lines - the ones that start with a # - cause a problem becasue those lines do not have the same number f fields as the data lines.
If I manually deleted the comments, I can perform a bulk insert.
Is there a way to perform a bulk insert while excluding lines based on a match such as : any line that beings with a "#".

The approach I generally use with BULK INSERT and irregular data is to push the incoming data into a temporary staging table with a single VARCHAR(MAX) column.
Once it's in there, I can use more flexible decision-making tools like SQL queries and string functions to decide which rows I want to select out of the staging table and bring into my main tables. This is also helpful because BULK INSERT can be maddeningly cryptic about the why and how of why it fails on a specific file.
The only other option I can think of is using pre-upload scripting to trim comments and other lines that don't fit your tabular criteria before you do your bulk insert.
I recommend using logparser.exe instead. LogParser has some pretty neat capabilities on its own, but it can also be used to format the IIS log to be properly imported by SQL Server.
Microsoft has a tool called "PrepWebLog" http://support.microsoft.com/kb/296093 - which strips-out these hash/pound characters, however I'm running it now (using a PowerShell script for multiple files) and am finding its performance intolerably slow.
I think it'd be faster if I wrote a C# program (or maybe even a macro).
Update: PrepWebLog just crashed on me. I'd avoid it.
Update #2, I looked at PowerShell's Get-Content and Set-Content commands but didn't like the syntax and possible performance. So I wrote this little C# console app:

Following up on what PeterX wrote, I modified the application to handle large log files since anything sufficiently large would create an out-of-memory exception. Also, since we're only interested in whether or not the first character of a line starts with a hash, we can just use StartsWith() method on the read operation.

Error "Cannot Implicitly Convert Type" when accessing Publication Metadata Category

I had a similar question before, but this is a few steps beyond that so here we go:
I am trying to access values in a category in Tridion 2011. I am using the Razor TBB and using this code to do it:

I have set up a metadata schema with a field that has an xml name of "myCategory" attached to my publication. If I run this on the publication where myCategory is a Text field, this code works... kind of. It treats EACH character as a separate value of the keyword variable... so if I enter the text "one", what prints is "Hello World! Hello World! Hello World!", and if I just have "o" as the value, it prints "Hello World!".
Bizarre as that is (and I'd like to know why on that too), what I really want the field to be a "Values will be selected from a list" type of field, pointing to my category in Categories and keywords. When I do this, and the value of myCategory changes to the value of the item selected in the dropdown for this type of field instead of direct text entry, the code no longer works and gives this error:
Cannot implicitly convert type 'Tridion.Extensions.Mediators.Razor.Models.KeywordModel' to 'System.Collections.IEnumerable'. An explicit conversion exists (are you missing a cast?)
Please help me.
If you get your output repeated for every character in a string, you are clearly iterating over the characters in the string and not the other range of values that you expected.
I quickly checked the relevant code of the Razor mediator and its ToString method indeed returns the Title of the underlying RepositoryLocalObject.

So it looks like the myCategory property will either be a KeywordModel object (if the KeywordField is single-value) or a List<KeywordModel> (if the KeywordField is marked as multi-value in the Schema). Is your myCategory field single value? Or multi-value?
If it is single-value, what type of output were your expecting? If you were expecting the list of allowed values (instead of the currently selected value), check if you can access it through myCategory.Definition somehow (which should be a regular TOM.NET KeywordFieldDefinition object).
