Change view in browser settings in Sublime Text 2 - sublimetext2

I have installed the view in browser plugin in Sublime text 2. It opens in firefox by default and I'd like to change this to google chrome.
I've opened the settings file and I am unsure which part to edit to change this, so if someone could point me in the right direction I'd be grateful.

Have you looked at https://github.com/adampresley/sublime-view-in-browser/wiki/Configuring-Browsers?
It states there that:
For illustration purposes let's say you want your default browser to
be Google Chrome. To do this populate this [new] settings file with the
following.
{ "selectedBrowser": "chrome" }
After you save this file you can
test your new settings file by pressing CTRL + ALT + V and you should
see your new settings file open in Google Chrome, assuming you have it
installed of course.

how can i directly open browser to view html file from vs code?

I write HTML and CSS code in VS Code and for previewing it I need to open file explorer then files then double click them to open them in my default browser.
it takes too much time. is there any proper way for this?
I have tried one live extension called live server but the problem with it is we have to click the 'go live' button any time I want to refresh the code.
If the live server extension is the one by Ritwick Dey..
.. then then after clicking Go Live, it will open your page in the default browser and reload it automatically, every time you save your work.
in some cases, it is helpful to save the folder containing your HTML to a Workspace, in VS Code, especially if you are writing an app using the MVC modal and the HTML and CSS are in subfolders.
You can install an extension called open in browser.
After installation complete restart vscode and go to settings Ctrl + ,. Search for Open-in-browser setting and set your default browser as you can see below:
Then whenever you edit a html file, you can use shortcut Alt + B to open this file in browser.

Chrome devtools: save changes made in the elements tab to your workspace

I'm using Chrome 65 on Mac. I have set up a workspace in Chrome under the 'Sources > Filesystem' tab. I'm able to edit files and Chrome will save these changes to the actual file on my disk. But I would like to use the live editing capabilities of the 'Elements' tab to alter HTML & CSS and let Chrome save these changes.
I have found many answers, but none work with the current version of Chrome.
You may not be able to save the file locally as you can with you CSS changes (from the "Sources" tab), but you can copy and paste elements using Chrome 65 and above (maybe older versions too). Copying the element also copies all of its children and their children. So, if you copy the <html> element, you will get the entire page - everything between <html> and </html>.
Right click on the element, go to Copy > Copy element. Then paste the clipboard content into your favorite editor or IDE and save. Not as convenient as saving from the Sources tab, but it does allow you to get/save all the changes you've made in the Elements tab.
Simply saving the website (File > Save Page As...) works for me.

My chrome browser is zoomed in

My chrome browser is zoomed in for no reason. I tried added /high-dpi-support=1 /force-device-scale-factor=1 at the end of C:\Program Files (x86)\Google\Chrome\Application\chrome.exe however I am getting an error saying high-dpi-support=1 /force-device-scale-factor=1 in the target box is not valid. Make sure the path and file name is correct.
If your target is not valid, you probably forgot the quotes when using a path containing spaces (like program files) and the slashes:
"C:\Program Files (x86)\Google\Chrome\Application\chrome.exe" /high-dpi-support=1 /force-device-scale-factor=1
Zooming out is just a workaround - not a solution !
I had the problem too, and I tried those solutions listed on this site:
http://techdows.com/2016/10/fix-chrome-54-looks-zoomed-in.html
However, I could not set the compatibility mode since all options are greyed out (probably company policy) and so I had to use the command line option.
Using both /high-dpi-support=1 and /force-device-scale-factor=1 did not work, my guess is that I am using a laptop and the default DPI level is set to 125 in Windows 10. If set to 100, most programs were too small to use.
Using only /force-device-scale-factor=1 worked for me (keeping my 125 DPI in Windows and 100% Zoom level in Chrome)
Recently, I am also facing the same problem when updating the latest version of google chrome. Do it again because this the only solution.
Delete your old shortcut code and create latest version shortcut code. And Follow this steps.
For Chrome:
Right Click the chrome icon or chrome shortcut icon, go to the
properties.
Then in the "Target:" field, Click the field and press end button.
Now you are seen this "chrome.exe" at the end.
copy this text : chrome.exe" /high-dpi-support=1
/force-device-scale-factor=1 and paste on chrome.exe"
Then Restart chrome or close the browser and double click the
shortcut icon.
For Firefox: here
I have been having the same problem thanks to the most recent Chrome update, tried a number of solutions but nothing worked, so looked for a way to go back to the previous version - which I have done an now everything is back to normal :)
So the insructions to roll back to a previous version can be found here: https://productforums.google.com/forum/#!topic/chrome/UFSYuIr1-80
However they are a bit long winded, so here is what I did.
Go Chrome's file location, should be something like C:\Program Files (x86)\Google\Chrome\Application.
Once there you should hopefully see a folder containing the previous version of Chrome - it should be something like 53.0.2785.143.
However, what's missing is the Chrome.exe, so we will need to get hold of this by downloading the older version of chrome again.
To do that you will need to go to this website http://www.chrome-portable.com/index.php/google-chrome-offline-installer and download the corrosponding installer, in my case i clicked on the link for the 53.0.2785.143 32-bit version.
Once it downloaded, right click on it and use WinRar (or similar) to 'extract here" - once extracted you should be left with another compressed file called "chrome". Again click on it and choose "extract here". This time you should get a file called "Chrome-bin".
Look inside "Chrome-bin" and you should see chrome.exe, now all you need to do is copy chrome.exe back to your older version folder (from step 2).
Double click on your newly copied chrome.exe and all going well Chrome should open back to how it was!
One final step, you will need to copy the entire 53.0.2785.143 folder to somewhere safe, other wise chrome will overwrite it again as it updates.
NOTE: So what you now have is two versions of chrome, the older version, version 53, which should look fine. And you have an the most recent version, version 54, of chrome which will continue to update etc. Any bookmarks you have will still point to the current version 54 chrome, so you will need to create new bookmarks pointing back to the old one!
Hope this helps, as I said I just followed the instructions in the link at the top of my post.
Good luck!
You can fix it by Holding ctrl and scrolling back
Or hold ctrl and press -
You could also change it in settings
Open Google Chrome.
Click Customize and Control Google Chrome >
Settings.
Click on "Show advanced settings" and scroll to the "Web
Content" section.
Use the menu next to "Page Zoom" to make your
selection:
Here is how to do it in the registry:
Add --force-device-scale-factor=1 to the registry keys
HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\ChromeHTML\shell\open\command
HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\Applications\chrome.exe\shell\open\command
Note: The first key may be reset sometimes. I assume this happens with either a Chrome or Windows update; I can't tell.

Files With Extension "doc" Must Show in Browser Instead of Download

I have uploaded a doc file on my server and when i open this file by it's url then it's automatically downloaded but i want that this should open in a browser instead of downloading, please help me to resolve this issue.
If you want open your document inside Browser, you can try the following settings:
The setting that controls this behavior is located in Windows Explorer (not Internet Explorer) on the user's machine.
Open “Windows Explorer”.
Select Tools -> Folder Options... from the menu.
Go to the “File Types” tab.
In the “Registered file types list”, select the file you want to change the setting for (e.g. DOC).
Click the “Advanced” button to open the Edit File Type dialog.
There is a checkbox, Browse in same window, where you can specify whether the selected file type should be opened within the browser or launched in its host application when clicked on a web page.
For more information, please refer to: http://support.microsoft.com/?scid=kb;en-us;162059
Have you tried to use the page view web part and link to the document?
Also, does it have to be a word document? Could you try a different approach for the content, like using one of the page layouts or the content editor web part?

How is it possible that the (program) source file in Chrome developer tool is hidden?

When you open the chrome developper tool and that you go in the "Source" tab.
Normally you can see all the source (html, css, js) of the website you'r currently on.
Chrome create a "(program)" file that contains base js of the current page
Do anyone knows why the (program) would not be here ?
Because I have some javascript that chrome put in that file and when I do a Search in All File (Ctrl + Shift + F) it doesnt search in the (program) source because it is not in the treeview.
Thanks !
