lately i noticed that most my views are from Africa, but the subject of my blog is intended for everyone, it's written in English and have a plenty of tutorials. so why all viewers are from Africa ?

Maybe people in other continents aren't very interested in what you have to say. But more likely your blog isn't well known and is being visited by bots or spammers in Africa sniffing your site for email addresses or places to post comments. There is also the possibility that whatever you are using to get analytics is broken.

Noticed today that Reddit API is always returning "downs" = 0 and "ups" = "score" for all posts.

Bug?
No, this was a deliberate move by the reddit team. I think a lot of people are disappointed.

The best way to improve your app design, IMO, is to ask a pool of potential users what they think and how will they use.

I remember reading a blog post or something somewhere that said that Google+ either was a modified version of a popular social networking software or was modeled after something of the sort. I however cannot find this post any longer or anything similar.
At least let me know if anyone sees strong similarities between the platform and another open source platform.
Diaspora seems to have provided inspiration for Google+, not sure if it goes beyond merely inspiring it.

As stated in the article, it is not something you can force, Google decides whether your site is worth to have them or not.
