Everything works fine for Microsoft Outlook, but when the .html file is inserted to Mac Outlook 2011 the image shows up but the link does not show up. Been searching on the web for a while and couldn't fine an answer. My fault or the Macs?.
Wat do?.
Here's my code:
<!doctype html>
<html>
<head>
<meta charset="utf-8">
<title>Link</title>
</head>
<body>
<a href="http://issuu.com/3foxinternational/docs/gw_complete" target="_blank">
<img src="http://i.imgur.com/QmTzKiY.jpg" alt="site link" />
</a>
</body>
</html>
Microsoft Outlook is a real PITA sometimes when it comes to viewing HTML emails. The rending engine is terrible. Also, it doesn't support HTML5.
HTML emails should always be written using very old coding standards so that they are cross email client compatible. Try this:
<!DOCTYPE html PUBLIC "-//W3C//DTD XHTML 1.0 Transitional//EN" "http://www.w3.org/TR/xhtml1/DTD/xhtml1-transitional.dtd">
<html xmlns="http://www.w3.org/1999/xhtml">
<head>
<meta http-equiv="Content-Type" content="text/html; charset=utf-8" />
<meta name="viewport" content="width=device-width"/>
<title>Link</title>
</head>
<body leftmargin="0" topmargin="0" marginwidth="0" marginheight="0">
<a href="http://issuu.com/3foxinternational/docs/gw_complete" target="_blank">
<img src="http://i.imgur.com/QmTzKiY.jpg" alt="site link" border="0" style="display:block;" />
</a>
</body>
</html>

I want to update an existing/simple holding page on my domain in html.
Unfortunately, I've noticed that this page doesn't seem to appear on newer browsers such as Chrome and Firefox and only seems to load up properly on Internet Explorer.
Is there any advice you could give me to help overcome this issue please?
Thanks
<!DOCTYPE HTML PUBLIC "-//W3C//DTD HTML 4.01 Transitional//EN">

<meta http-equiv="Content-Type" content="text/html; charset=iso-8859-1">

To make a simple HTML page visible by most modern browsers it's better to use HTML5 so first, instead of using <!DOCTYPE HTML PUBLIC "-//W3C//DTD HTML 4.01 Transitional//EN"> just use <!DOCTYPE html>...
About your code, you can fix it by using something like this:
<!DOCTYPE html>
<html>
<head>
<meta charset="utf-8">
<!-- or <meta charset="iso-8859-1"> -->
<meta name="viewport" content="width=device-width">
<title>"TITLE HERE"</title>
<style>
body {
background:#ffffff url('LOGO.jpg') no-repeat center fixed;
}
</style>
</head>
<body>
link
</body>
</html>
I am experiencing quiet an unusual issue with salesforce when I put it in a html frame, when I click on the login button link, it is not loading the login page. but every other link is working perfectly fine, as soon as I take it out of the html frame it works, is there something that can be done to fix this issue by any chance? I have looked and been unsuccessful.
So i got 2 .html files 1 named Script, which is just plain simple text to be displayed in the left frame, and the main frame is the salesforce link.
Then the third html file is the frame file which links both html files to load into one.
The code for all this is below, please let me know if you are successful, Thanks.
script.html
<!DOCTYPE html PUBLIC "-//W3C//DTD XHTML 1.0 Transitional//EN" "http://www.w3.org/TR/xhtml1/DTD/xhtml1-transitional.dtd">

I have this code for html email (for example)
<!DOCTYPE HTML PUBLIC "-//W3C//DTD HTML 4.01 Transitional//EN" "http://www.w3.org/TR/html4/loose.dtd">
<html>
<head>
<meta http-equiv="Content-Type" content="text/html; charset=utf-8">
<title>Title</title>
</head>
<body>
<span>Email content</span>
<!--[if mso]>
<img src="НТТР://site.com/image_for_outlook.jpg">
<![endif]-->
<!--[if !mso]><!-->
<img src="НТТР://site.com/image_not_for_outlook.gif">
<!--<![endif]-->
<span>Email content</span>
</body>
</html>
How to hide gif animation in Outlook?
There is many information for this but it's not work between "body" tags.
I don't usually like asking other people to look at my code, but I'm so confused! This script only works in jsFiddle. When I try it elsewhere, it just comes up with the navy background.
<!DOCTYPE html PUBLIC "-//W3C//DTD XHTML 1.0 Transitional//EN" "http://www.w3.org/TR/xhtml1/DTD/xhtml1-transitional.dtd">
<html xmlns="http://www.w3.org/1999/xhtml" xml:lang="en-gb" lang="en-gb" >
<head>
<meta name="google-site-verification" content="MaEIpDKrtwWJCsgK-26zGQY0-WFYBN8y2fDho0pzYcE" />
<meta http-equiv="content-type" content="text/html; charset=utf-8" />
<meta http-equiv="X-UA-Compatible" content="IE=edge" >
<style type="text/css">
.scr { height:700px; width:400px; background-color:navy;}
</style>
</head><body>
<div class="scr"><script type="text/javascript" src="//www.gmodules.com/ig/ifr?url=http://geoff.lequelenec.googlepages.com/stock_chart_gadget.xml&up_symbol=PPL&up_duration=v&synd=open&w=320&h=200&title=PPL+Corporation&border=%23ffffff%7C3px%2C1px+solid+%23999999&output=js"></script></div>
</body></html>
If you put the script link into a browser, it returns an error message:
Sorry! Gadget cannot be displayed until all required settings are provided.
So I would guess that you haven't fully configured it.

I am using eclipse IDE for developing. Any suggestions for how to solve this one?
Remove ; charset=UTF-8 and add <meta charset="iso-8859-8"> inside the document <head>.
what browser do you use?
on Chrome it works good
