I would like to use a link that takes the user to an external site and automatically hits the "submit" button on a form. Is this possible with HTML?
I'm writing a form and have a multi-select with certain responses (age range); for ranges below a specified value, we redirect users to a page with information on why we don't accept that range currently, etc.
The problem is that the form navigation appears on this page, so they can hit Back (no problem) and Submit (problem).
We don't want users submitting if they wind up on this error-catch page, but I haven't seen any way of disabling or hiding the submit button.
Even checking Google scripts, it doesn't seem like this is possible? Does anyone know if there's a way to do this?
The SUBMIT button either appears on the last page, or on pages where the setting is set to: Submit Form
You probably have the error page as the last page, and the next to last page set to Submit Form.
There is no way to disable the submit button. Put the error page BEFORE the last page. Make the page that is right before the error page skip over the error page and navigate to the last page (Submit Page). On the last page have only one question like: Are you done? "Yes" "No" This way, the user will never see the submit button until they get to that last page. On the Error page, set the page navigation to go to something like back to the first page. If the user clicks BACK on the SUBMIT page, it will skip over the error page and go to the page before it. Of course, the user could navigate back, and change the answer, and get to the SUBMIT page. But then they'd be lying about their age.
You can disable the Google form by accessing Responses tab and unchecking the option Acception responses.
you can use this restrict Data in Google Sheets with Data Validationso it will show a pop up message based on DATA

Assume that you want to display two separate forms on one page, but only one at a time.
One form acts as a gate for the other form, and would disappear upon submission, being replaced by the second form.
Is it possible to display a second form on POST on the same page without having to reload the page?
Not without using Javascript in some method or other. Best bet would be to post the first form via AJAX and in the response delivery the second form.
I have two forms, a login form and a register form on the same page and each has its own submit button. If I fill in bad data and click on submit button on register form, I get the form back with errors ( expected). If I now enter sign in details on signin form and click on signin form's submit button, the register form gets submitted.
This is strange behaviour. I am not sure where to start search for this. I am using firefox to test this.
Thanks
Well, you will need to debug it step by step.
Check your form nesting and follow good structure, make sure both form are not overlapping with each other or not being closed properly.
Give you form a proper ID and NAME. Be careful when two forms have the same name From Name Attr.
Based on your structure and your question, make sure you have a different submit buttons for each form and that button is placed within the form nesting.
Same as for the forms, give your submit button a proper unique ID and NAME .
Choose whether you want to submit by your using submit in html, or having JS to submit the form for you JS submit form.
If you are using HTML5, you can separate the button from the FORM. They can run separately. Means dynamic association between the form and it's submit button by having submit button placed anywhere and can submit a form located in different place. Check Association of Controls and Forms & HTML5′s New “form” Attribute.
Please post some code in order for us to have a better understanding of your issue.
Good luck.
I have a school project where I have to make a small database application using Oracle Forms.
I have 4 forms in my application:
A login form
A main form
A form that is displayed after the new button is pressed on the main form
Another form that is displayed after the edit button is pressed on the main form.
I've created the forms in the mentioned way.
When I start the application, I want the login form to be the starting form. Now what starts first is the edit form (the last one created).
How can I manage that?
Thank you.
The form loads that canvas first which holds the first data block in the Object Navigator. So make sure that your login form block is first on the list.
You can also set the "First Navigation Data Block" in the Property Palette for the form to the desired block on the login form and it will display that first, overriding the first block in the other answer.
